Absolutely the worst service (if you can call the lack of service being served at all). Completely inattentive bartender with a man named Jarrod also working behind the bar. No greeting or acknowledgement from either men behind the bar. Greeted drunk "regulars" behind my husband and I while still ignoring us and failing to offer any service. For a personal service industry these gentleman lack all ability to perform with even the bare minimum of effort. We arrived at 5:20. We told them we had 4 plus a high chair totaling 5. They said 30 minute wait. After 50 minute wait we were called. When we went inside it was chaos. Nobody knew what they were doing. First we were offered a high top table. We said no because we needed lol a high chair. Then we were told we could sit outside. We went out to the patio which was the smoking section. We waited for 10 more minutes for a high chair. Then we were told that all the high chairs were in use. More choice of beverages. One of us ordered shrimp pasta with Alfredo sauce. It came out with NO Alfredo sauce but had a butter sauce with fresh tomatoes. It was ok, but not as described on the menu. We ordered a salad and burger and asked for the salad to come first. It can after the burger and was light on the toppings and limp iceberg lettuce. Burger was plentiful and cooked to perfection but we didn't get the skinny fries as we had requested. Seems like the quality of the place is slipping as we have had good food there previously. My wife and I stopped in to the Irish Wolfhound for lunch today. We were on the west side of town and decided on having some Irish food and a Guinness for our lunch. There were a few people at the tables and some more sitting at the bar. A little background would help understanding this review. We have frequented Irish pubs throughout the US, Canada, UK, and of course the Republic of Ireland, so we are not strangers to both good and bad Irish food. Back to our lunch at the Irish Wolfhound. We were seated quickly at a very small table that wiggled due to not all its legs touching the floor at the same time, a bit annoying but tolerable. I ordered the fish and chips and my wife had the corned beef and cabbage, I ordered a pint of Guinness. The Guinness arrived QUICKLY which was a bit unusual as it takes a bit of time to pour a PROPER Guinness. Not surprising the Guinness was FLAT. The food came within a reasonable period of time. The portion of fish was very small about the size of a playing card and the chips were nearly shoestring size like one would find at a McDonalds. There was also a very small side portion of coleslaw. The fish was not crispy and was soggy on the bottom, the slaw appeared to be a commerically bought coleslaw and not made in their kitchen. The fish and chips was served on FAKE newspaper, I guess to make you think it came right out of a REAL irish pub. AMATEUR! I asked for salt & pepper as there was none on our table. There was also no malt vinegar or ketchup on the table, which I also had to ask for. When the server brought the malt vinegar and ketchup to me they were in tiny plastic portion cups. I guess they didn't trust us with full bottles of ketchup and malt vinegar, a practice commonly found in fast food places. EPIC FAIL AS A GOOD IRISH PUB. We will not return. read more

This place is ok. I really want to try the Irish breakfast...but at the same time I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be disappointed. The fish and chips are pretty good. But...the majority of the food lacks flavor. It's disappointing. The broth is very flavorless. The Irish brown bread is good and a bit sweet. The corned beef is excellent. Overall, it's hit or miss. This is not just your basic bar food. Get the pretzel. We got 2. They are fantastic. It's basically a huge soft pretzel. Give them a minute or 2 to cool because they are freaking hot and I burned my impatient fingers. I had the fish and chips. The Guinness battered fish and chips has like a 6 inch piece of fish on top of fries with a large scoop of tangy coleslaw. The kids meals are decently sized. They had leftovers. They also seemed to enjoy them. My sister had the chorizo meatloaf. It was a bit salty, but had good flavor. The only "complaints" I had was that they forgot my to go order, but they got it out pretty quickly. They also didn't give us silverware right away but they got it to us after the pretzel but before our meals, so not a big deal. read more

Got a tip they offer a great Ruben sandwich. Unfortunately this was a total disappointment as I've had much better from a sandwich shop. Granted there was plenty of corn beef but a definite lack of sauerkraut and the thousand island was just a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. No relish mixed in with the thousands dressing. In fact we asked for extra thousand island dressing as the sandwich was very dry. Do not recommend the Ruben there are better Rubens elsewhere in town. We had the worst serve in my life. Not only was the waitress so rude but she took 40 minutes to come back to are table to say one they didn't have one of the food order. DRinks were left at the bar for over 30 minutes. She told us if we wanted to pay for our drink we could leave and go elsewhere to eat after we had already ordered. THen when speaking with another waitress and asking her a questions, our waitress came up and said she didn't have any authority in this place. And to top it off I paid cash for our bill and she came running after me asking if I had paid. Food is good once it comes out but the waitress should be fired, we won't be back and I think after a few other parties walk-out because of her they won't be back either. The owner needs to have a manger on site at night. Maybe that's the problem too. read more

Pricing is consistent with what one expects to pay in a Sun City West-area dining establishment and plate portions are decent. There's no skimping at this Irish pub, mo chairde. The menu offers a wide selection of traditional Irish cuisine with flair. I had the Chicken Boxty, which consisted of a tender grilled chicken breast with a tasty whiskey goat cheese sauce atop two potato pancakes and a vegetable side dish, all perfectly prepared. I plan to revisit to try out more of their menu items. For those who like to brunch on weekends, they serve Irish breakfast all day Say & Sun! bouncer was a jerk for no reason. we didn't know whether they allowed people underage, and as soon they told us they didn't, we stepped off and arranged rides to get them home. they treated us horribly unprovoked, rudely asked us to move farther away from the door ( we absolutely would've if asked like human beings, also threatened to call the police on our uber's license plate number???? ) would absolutely never recommend, and i will never return. teach your employees to have basic human decency. so gross. read more

Keeping this anonymous for obvious reasons but as a former employee, no-one had food handlers cards up until a few weeks ago/and it was optional, disgusting kitchen conditions, extreme drug use in the freezer (since there's no cameras) and the freezers where all the food is stored, coke,weed, you name it, it's been near the food not to mention moldy bacon which was thrown away piece by piece instead of the whole box, in all being an employee I wouldn't eat there so I can't imagine the poor customers who will to. We ate there in February 2024 and the service was poor and the food was cold. It took 20 minutes to place our beverage order and over an hour to get our food. It used to be a high quality/good service Pub but it has certainly gone downhill. Save your money and go to The Olive Garden where you always get good food and great service. read more

HORRIBLE, DISRESPECTFUL, DEGRADING & ABUSIVE SERVERS! Went there this past Friday and took so long to get my drink, that most of the ice melted. When I asked for a replacement, Jennifer (the server) was livid and began telling me off! When I questioned her nasty attitude and asked for her name, she clenched her teeth and screamed out 'Jennifer!!". We were APPALLED & SHOCKED! We said we were leaving, she said "GET OUT!" There were 3 other RUDE NASTY staff members, but pregnant Jennifer was beyond anything I've EVER experienced. My wife and I have eaten at this place many times in the past. We had dinner there early March and to our surprise we will never eat there again. Note, this is not a high class restaurant and there prices are much too expensive for what you get. $18. fish dinner included 1 piece of dripping greasy fish, approximately 12 French fries and a tablespoon of Cole slaw. I had Shepherds pie which came on a small oval plate with two 6/8 ounce bowls on it with a slice of bread. One bowl was their soup and the other was their shepherds pie which looked like a bowl of Chile. We are retired and were in the restaurant business in the past. I would be embarrassed to serve the portion sizes they did for the money. Go to Shamus McCarthy. You'll get triple the amount of food for the same money. This place needs to go Bye, Bye! read more

Husband got the bangers and mash. They were decent. I got the chowder and burger. Burger was pretty good , as far as taste and quality. I didn't care for the chowder but I think it was decent quality. Service was decent and server was friendly. I give the 3 stars because nothing about this place was bad, but nothing was exceptional either.
