We moved here in July and absolutely were so happy to have great pizza down the street . I will say the last 3 times I've had their pizza seems very inconsistent with the taste one time we had it and it was literally so bad the crust was so bad tasted like they forgot to add salt to the dough so bland the last 2 times was just bad tasting. Had it tonight and it tasted better . Did they sell the restaurant? Is there a new cook ? I tried tonight as a last ditch effort to see if it tasted better If it was not good I would have tried something else . I hope it gets back to the amazing pizza it was when we moved here as I wanna be able to support my town and small businesses or we will have to spend our money elsewhere . We went to try this place for lunch after a hike. Loved that they had an outside patio for our two dogs. Although, tons of wasps or yellow jackets making eating a challenged, but it's not like we could go inside, so we just dealed. The food was AMAZING!! Everything we ordered was spot in! The waitress even asked the chef to make a smaller portion of a plate for our 4 year old, and charged accordingly. They went above and beyond, even though they didn't have to. They are struggling being short staffed just like everyone right now, so don't go if you're in a rush. We had time to spare, so it was no issue. Just basing it on the food, they get a 10 out of 10, so GOOD! Worth it, we all enjoyed it. read more

I've been here twice now and loved it both times! The pizza is incredible! Really fun and interesting topping/flavor combinations and the crust is crispy but chewy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone in the mood to eat pizza! They do not have a liquor license; beer and wine only. It's kind of a small place. Very much a local/hometown feel, which I think is fun and reassuring. I have noticed that the wait staff seems to get a little overwhelmed when it's a little busy. It made one waitress kind of short and seemingly irritable with patrons. But the next visit she seemed friendly and in a much better mood. So I'd say for the best possible experience, try to go when it isn't too busy. Overall a great place! read more

Service was seriously lacking, our server was very inattentive and with only a few other tables I would expect much more. She put in our pizza order different than what we actually ordered and said "I didn't know we had chicken bacon ranch pizza so this is what I had them make is that OKAY?" She was short with us and we waited over 10 min to even be greeted in the first place. We had to ask for refills on everything and they acted as if us ordering beer was an inconvenience, the only reason I will give them any stars at all is because the jalapeño ranch was delicious and the pizza concepts sounded good, just not executed properly. Literally the best pizza joint I have ever been too. This is not your Italian wood oven joint, this is American Pizza. The "Death by Meat" pizza is amazing and I cant even find it within myself to order anything else. Its not the perfect place but the pizza makes up for some of the quarks. Love the decorations, its pretty eclectic and the fun truck benches out front are nice if its below 90 out. They even have Pizza flights if you want to try a variety. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! This place was disgusting we waited almost 2Hrs for burned pizza with sauce that tasted like Campbell's tomato soup and hardly any toppings. The 3 waitresses were trying but honestly they were rude. After 45 min without anything my aunt went ask if everything was ok? And their response was you'll get your pizza when you get it one waitress put her hands in her armpits and then touched food They had a live band playing in this TINY place and was so loud we could barely talk and when i asked our waitress to ASK THEM to turn it down a little her response was " I can't touch their stuff but when the break I'll ask" which she didn't btw. They are consistently disrespectful to patrons and seemingly don't appreciate anyone's business. Beacon Pizza is just as good if not better pizza but the atmosphere and staff are exponentially more pleasant so I generally point people there for pizza in Athol. read more

Been waiting to try the place since it opened. Didn't have a menu and I couldn't find a website. Picked one up and ordered while I was there. Was surprised when they said it would be a 45 minute wait, but we wanted to try it. The place was pretty busy. We got a roasted chicken pizza and Caesar salad to go. It was good, but could use a little more toppings and a little less crust. The Caesar salad was very good. We plan to try it again, but not sure how often as they're pretty expensive. $22 for one pizza? It is nice seeing a new place in Athol. More authentic than Dominos or Pizza Hut. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. Should be a good addition for the small town. The menu has many tasty combinations. Looking forward to trying it again. read more

We have ordered pizza from Iron Pizza quite often. I don't think even the same pizza from their menu has come to us the same. There is always something a bit different. Tonight we ordered a make your own pizza. We ordered our pizza with marinara sauce, it came with none. The crust was burned and extremely thin. We felt that they also skimped on the toppings we ordered. We are definitely less than satisfied with our order and disappointed. read more

I feel like I should have learned by our past two experiences. Both terrible experiences, but something I could look past... tonight, not so much. I'm home with my young kiddos and no car this evening and thought I'd give Iron Pizza another shot since they offer delivery. At 5:30p I placed an order online for three pizzas and an order of wings totaling in at just over $100 after tip. The expected delivery time given to me was 7:00p. A 90 minute wait. Pretty long, but my kids could wait until 7:00p to eat. Well, 7:20p rolled around and no pizza, so I called to see where my order was. The gal on the phone said it was ready and in the window and the next to go out once the delivery driver returned. I asked how long she thought that'd be, mentioning I live about 5 minutes away. She said it'd be here in 10 minutes. I waited an additional 30 minutes and it was finally delivered 7:50p... the very remorseful driver tells me he's kitchen staff and was asked to drive out my order because the delivery worker still hadn't returned. Why, who knows. I asked if waiting an additional almost hour was normal and he said no, absolutely not. I called in to talk with the manager after he left and asked if there was a reason I wasn't called and informed that I would be waiting that long and the manager I spoke with responded with "Did you receive your full order? And was it all correct?" I said yes and she hung up on me. I'm assuming blocked my number because I tried calling back and it's been busy each time. I am shocked, I even said I wasn't looking for a free meal. Just an explanation as to why when spending $100 at their establishment I would receive such treatment. The service industry is difficult, I get it, I've worked in restaurants for years. But I've never even heard of a manager treating a customer this way. Previous experiences we've ordered pick up, ordering multiple pizzas. Both times only one pizza was ready at the mentioned time it would be ready. And my husband waited an additional 30+ minutes for them to make the rest of our order while he sat and waited... as well as the first pizza waited in the window. read more

Okay, so here's the deal. My hubby and I are (admittedly) huge food snobs. Not the kind that mind little local, hole in the walls type place but let's face it ... we have to feel safe eating there, the food HAS to be worth the money and the atmosphere/service has to be good. I mean, we work HARD all week amd my hubby can get decent food and so-so service at home If I cook. So yeah. We gave them a month to dial things in before we came and I have say there was some product issues with the wings, not the best product, buuut the flavor was good. We ordered the mango hottttt. They could use more color, everything is better when deeply caramelized. But what I appreciated is the cook came out to see how the spice profile was - what!? Can you ask for more? No! Next, pizza. A few misses here and there but they're ALWAYS open to the feedback and always try to make it right, and have never once made us feel bad. Can you ask for more-NO! Service/atmosphere ... Stephanie and Maddie, the cooks and everyone is AMAZING! Truly! So fun, and the Friday night music? Stop it! This little joint in Athol is the bomb. Fun, fun, fun Regular date night! 7 stars. Worst service! My husband and I came in for some lunch and to shoot some pool. it was 10 minutes before a server initially came over to grab drink and food order then we continued to sit for an hour with still no food! The server passed our table several times but never once stopped to apologize for the wait, an update on our food or ask if there was anything they could get us. We ended up walking out extremely pissed without ever receiving our food and will never be returning until they hire better staff. read more

Don't even think about it. We read the reviews and thought about passing but since we are life long Idahoans, we like to support local. First of all the the waitress was super nice and took out orders. It took 20 minutes to get two beers and a bottle of wine. One of the beers was flat. Finally got one of two pizzas after 30 minutes and the dough was under under cooked. Waited and waited for the second pizza and was told twice it was coming. The couple we were with finished eating, boxed their pizza and finished the bottle of wine and still no second pizza. To make matters worse, the couple that came 20 minutes after us, got their pizza , ate and left. WTF. We never got a plate or napkin and they played loud head banger music outside - not good for families. We finally left after 1 1/2 hours, no pizza, and no one really cared. I might give a little sympathetic if they were slammed but there really wasn't that many people there. Sorry but this place has a lot of work to do to get even a 3 star restaurant read more

Wow all I can say is wow. It's great to have this addition to our Athol Community. The resturant has gone through some trials and tribulations with their opening but let me tell you I was impressed with how they are doing. We have been monitoring their progress on Facebook. So this was our first visit. We ordered take out two pizzas and two salads. When we called to order we were told that they were busy and it could be an hour before our order was ready. The gal asked us it we were ok with that which of course we were. 30 minutes later we received a call from Iron Pizza telling us our order was ready for pick up. Went down to the restaurant which was packed. The place was full of folks who were all smiles. Everyone appeared to be enjoying their meals. The gal at the counter showed me my order and confirmed that my order was correct. The pizzas were hot and remained hot when I got home (live 5 minutes away) . OMG they were awsome. GREAT JOB. If I could give zero stars I would. The service was horrible, pizza was burnt, no apologies, told us it would be another 20 minuets for a new one. When we got the bill there was no discount or compensation for their mistake. Due to the extremely poor service due to our waitress and experience we decided not to leave a tip. Bill came out to 65.15 we put down 66 and left. Stephanie our waitress followed us out to our vehicle and said "here's your change" we said "no we don't want it" and Stephanie replied with "well you obviously need it more than I do". We were so shocked that we just left and decided to call and speak with the owner. The lady on the phone who was the owner lied and said that the owner was out of town for an emergency but come to find out the lady on the phones name was lizzie and she is a co owner. Lizzie said that the waitress was getting "written up". Unless you want to waste your time and money I would steer clear. read more
