"Loaded nachos" barely better than gas station nachos. No pico, no green onions... pure garbage.

UPDATE: my food was not what I ordered and does not look even remotely worth the price I paid. The nachos are a waste of a to go box, to be honest. The chips are stale, the cheese is cold. The menu mentioned the nachos would be topped with pico de gallo, green onions, guac, sour cream and salsa. The tablespoon of guac looks a few days old, the "pico" is diced onion and tomato and the green onions are nowhere to be found. Complete waste of $12 I came in to order a take out order, I was seated at the counter but the minute I said I wanted to order take out the host Nevaeh told me I couldn't sit at the counter to order my food. When I asked that I couldn't sit here, at the empty counter to place and wait on my Togo order she said she guessed I could. Then she had to come back to double check on what I wanted, then made me pay the moment the order was placed. I haven't experienced this bad of service in a long time. I'm sitting here feeling so awkward and like it's the worst thing in the world to ask to be seated at an empty counter while I wait for my order. I honestly don't care how good the food is, being treated like an imposition for ordering food to go isn't how I want to be treated.

The Iron Rail Cafe is a reasonably priced diner inside of Railroad Pass. Boyfriend and I signed up for a players card and they gave us each a $10 food voucher to use. I went with the burger and fries ($8.95!) and he went with the deluxe nachos with steak ($13.50). The steak was more like thin shaved steak which I liked better than big chunks of meat. The nachos were huge and loaded as was the burger. Everything was tasty and shareable. Best of all with our food vouchers it was almost free. The menu is vast. They serve breakfast all day as well as prime rib dinner after 4 PM. We'll be back the next time our travels take us to Boulder City.

One of my favorites. Satisfied the craving.when I have a taste for chicken .i don't what they do but it's damn good!!!

    Burnt/over fried Tator tots!

It took 29 minutes to get our food. The tator tots were disgusting. They crumbled if you picked them up and squeezed them. The burger was old. Each side was hard as a rock as if it was recooked a few times on the grill. My club sandwich is decent but the presentation was lacking. The cooks should be replaced. Why would you serve such nasty food to someone when I wouldn't even feed it to my dog? The clam chowder was the only thing good besides the French fries. This is our second time eating here and we will pass from now on. The first time we ate there the Cole slaw had freezer burn. No more.

Don't let this place derail your visit. Iron Rail Cafe is the 24/7 restaurant at Railroad Pass Casino in Henderson. We had just signed up for a player's card at the casino and received some comps to use, so we decided not to waste them. This was the easiest option as the steakhouse wasn't quite open yet (and was too pricey for our budget) and a possible other affiliated restaurant would have required a walk outside in the heat. I appreciated the host saying that the fine print of dine-in only could be worked around by just sitting down and getting a to-go box, but I didn't realize how long the wait would be. The server was incredibly slow to get to us for some reason, and it's not like the place was packed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The floorboards also had no vibration dampening and I kept feeling when he would walk by behind me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not a pleasant experience overall. I did enjoy my choice of the side of fries included with my entree. They were lightly crispy and nicely soft inside, and they weren't overly salted. Give me a huge portion of these and I'm a happy camper. And yes, the comps did get applied, so I was pleased with that. But I had the Prime Rib Dip ($11.99) sandwich after getting home (with a stretch in the fridge and some reheating in the meantime), and it was not good. The bread had this stale, offputting flavor that reminded me of some awful fast food fries I had earlier this summer, so perhaps they used expired oil of some sort on it. The meat was actually tender and just fine on its own (as I discarded the bread halfway through), while the broth was nothing to write home about. If I'd been on a keto diet, perhaps I wouldn't have been so disappointed. Maybe they have some other foods worth trying, but it felt like I was blindly groping around and found the third rail. Iron Rail Cafe is a hard "Pass" from me.

The bread was too soggy to pick up so I used utensils on the contents of the sandwich.

Maybe the worst sandwich I've ever had in my life! Nothing on the menu struck my fancy so I settled on the Reuben and chose coleslaw as the side. The coleslaw had no flavor whatsoever; none, zip, nada, zilch. It didn't taste like a mayo-based slaw nor did it taste like a vinegar-based slaw because it didn't taste like anything at all. One bite and done. This was the soggiest Reuben ever. They put the sauerkraut at the bottom which of course made the bottom piece of bread soggy. How about making it the top layer of the sandwich, then gently lay the top slice of bread on top of it? That would make it much less soggy. The sliced cheese had actually soured. Way too much dressing which should have been Russian but was ... well, I don't know what it was. It wasn't good but beyond that, I have no idea what it was. I removed the contents of half of the sandwich and ate just the sauerkraut and corned beef with a knife and fork. The meat was also flavorless and it was tough to cut with a table (vs steak) knife. Hubby asked that his French Fries be crispy and they were in fact crispy. The best part of the two meals, by far. He ordered a Patty Melt and didn't finish half of it. The meat was dry -- which is always a risk when you order ground beef to be well done. But the grilled onions should have compensated for the dryness of the well done ground beef. They didn't. Some of the onions had been sauteed but some of them were way undercooked which was not good. Rachel asked if we'd like "to go" boxes and I said, "Oh God no." She had to see (if she bothered to look) that we both had left more food on our plates than we had eaten yet she didn't ask if there was a problem. And that's why Rachel works at the Iron Rail Cafe. Speaking of Rachel, as most servers do, she disappeared when we were ready for our check.

You can tell how cheap management is by how they serve ketchup prep in little containers. Whats next little ketchup packets like at mcdonalds??? So cheap looking. The chef should be replaced.

I arrived around lunch time there was only a couple other patrons and I was welcomed in by the staff. The server was very attentive if not a bit over attentive consistently checking if I needed anything or wanted more coffee which meant I had as much coffee as I wanted and I had a lot since it is pretty tasty. As for the food itself I ordered a stack of the banana walnut pancakes with strawberries & whipped cream and in a combo with eggs, sausage and garlic potatoes. The food was good I enjoyed the garlic potatoes a lot and the pancakes were also decent however not much of a banana flavor was to be found unfortunately. I did walk away satisfied with my meal and not finishing all of it due to the large portion of the pancakes the only real sticking point was the cost prior to tip being close to $28 which is a bit much for breakfast although I ordered one of the pricier items but making coffee or any other drink $4 is pricey compared to similar breakfast/brunch establishments. As compared to the emerald island grille which I view as the closest competitor pacific diner is better in quality their coffee alone is way better than anything at Emerald however the cost is much higher especially for most breakfast items where the cost is double that of the same item at Emerald. Overall I would recommend trying this place out and I will return to try some of the other menu items I am interested in.

After hearing about Omelet House for literally years while living in Las Vegas for over 20 years, I…read morewas genuinely excited when we pulled in for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience was such a complete disappointment that I felt compelled to write this review. I ordered eggs over medium. They arrived with raw, runny, uncooked egg whites. Not once. Not twice. Three separate times. After the third attempt, I gave up. If a restaurant that specializes in breakfast can't properly cook eggs after three tries, that's a serious problem. To their credit, they comped my breakfast. However, what happened next was far more disappointing than the food itself. The owner came over while we were checking out. Rather than addressing me -- the person who actually had the issue -- he spoke exclusively to my dining companion and never once looked at me, acknowledged me, apologized to me, or treated me as though I even existed. I've honestly never experienced anything quite so rude or dismissive in a restaurant. I mentioned that I had previously owned two restaurants myself and understand that mistakes happen. His response? He said he had looked at the first two plates of eggs himself, but never once acknowledged whether they were prepared correctly or incorrectly. No accountability. No explanation. No apology. Just indifference and disrespect. I have to be honest: the way I was completely ignored while he spoke only to the man I was dining with left me with the personal impression that my opinion simply didn't matter to him. Whether intentional or not, that was exactly how it felt, and it made an already disappointing experience even worse. I've worked in hospitality. I understand that food can occasionally come out wrong. What I don't understand is treating a customer with such blatant disregard and disrespect, especially when they're giving you the opportunity to make things right. After waiting years to finally try Omelet House, I can honestly say it was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in Las Vegas. Bad eggs can be fixed. Bad service can sometimes be forgiven. But being treated as though you are invisible by the owner of the establishment is something I won't forget. I will not be returning, and I certainly won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone. After reading the response from Fred's wife Kelly here's my response to her because I have no way to comment to her response: Kelly, Thank you for taking the time to respond and for explaining Fred's visual impairment. I was completely unaware that he is legally blind, and had I known that at the time, I certainly would not have interpreted his lack of eye contact as intentional. I sincerely regret any hurt caused by my misunderstanding of that aspect of the interaction. That said, my review reflected my genuine experience as a customer. After receiving eggs with uncooked whites three separate times, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. While you did apologize and attempt to rectify the situation, I still felt that my concerns were not fully addressed, and that was the experience I shared. I have owned restaurants myself and understand that mistakes happen in any business. My disappointment stemmed not only from the food issues, but from how the overall experience felt from my perspective as a guest who had looked forward to visiting Omelet House for many years. I appreciate you providing additional context about Fred, and I wish both of you and the restaurant the best.

I don't think there is one bad thing on the menu..it has a plethora of sweet breakfast treats, savory breakfast items and even a whole selection of lunch staples - like sandwiches, salads, wraps and burgers. If you are ever stumped on what to order, just take a look around the walls inside and see all the amazing photos of their dishes hung up for display. Some of my favorites over the years are the S.O.B burger (pretzel bun, tasty sauce, crispy jalapeno bacon, yum!), the snow caps (such a fun take on eating a traditional bagel - lightly dusted with powdered sugar on top), a grilled blueberry muffin (ever had a blueberry muffin melt in your mouth? well order this and then you can say yes), the crunchberry French toast (sweet and filling, mainly to share with a friend or few) and the Tijuana turkey (but as a wrap!). Aside from those, another standout item - if you're a benedict fan - is the brisket burnt ends benedict. It is perfect and every bite makes you love it even more. If you're an OC and been visiting Sunrise for some time, they've been offering a featured menu of dishes they used to carry way back in the day for all your flavorful memories. For our most recent brunch visit, we decided it was an omelette day! I ordered a build your own omelette and my lunchmates got a Greek Omelette and the Turkey Taco Omelette. All were so tasty and fresh and with forkfuls of potatoes in between each bite, they really hit the spot. They have outdoor seating if you'd like to enjoy the weather and bring a furry friend with you (and water bowls for them too!), indoor seating at tables and a handful of higher chairs at a small breakfast bar. Keep in mind, though there is a decent sized interior for dining, most tables are set to probably seat groups of 4-6 though they may be able to accommodate larger parties. They are open every day of the week, with exception of some holidays, usually from 7:30a to about 2:00p and usually very packed on the weekends. With over 1.5k reviews on google and thousands on Yelp just under five stars, Sunrise has been around and in town for the past 20+ years for many good reasons. If you haven't visited Sunrise, met Angie and Andrew or any of the other lovely faces like Troy, Kelli, Carlos, Matt, and all the others, you absolutely need to. I hope it becomes your new favorite breakfast spot as it is for myself and many locals in town!
