    Chicken salad!

People are weird, bad reviews means bad day. I am a truck driver and the food was exactly what I expected. One review says (typical truck driver stop) dahhhhhh sure it's, Hahahahahaha. I had Soup and chicken salad and was perfect. Service was good fast. After 11 hours exactly what I needed. Thank you! Typical truck stop.....good one......people are strange!

This has got to be one of the better "Iron Skillets" out there. Went for dinner and had the One Pound Texas Steer Chopped Steak. It was huge, had tons of flavor and came with a perfectly made Baked Potato. It was so much food, I took half back to truck. My server was super nice and very attentive. I have no complaints. The diner was super clean and organized! Great experience!! AA++

It's a truckers' restaurant. Every year, we meet the In Laws' at this restaurant for a Christmas lunch. There are two options for food: the buffet or order off the menu. We usually get the buffet. The wait staff is attentive, and will refill your coffee or beverages fast. The food is pretty standard home-style food. On this day, it was barbecue pork, ham and beef. All were good without being too spicy and the vegetables were cooked but not overcooked. We were seated at a table and we dined and talked for over 2 hours. The wait staff was not in any rush to get us out of there, and I do appreciate that. I got up a few times to walk around the quickie mart attached to the restaurant and to use the restrooms. The restrooms were well-lit, clean and well stocked. Total for 4 buffet plus drinks came to less than $70.

I can stay it was a nice place to restaurant looked very clean, and the staff very nice. But it just took so long to get my food. And the customer beside never got a menu to order his food. Seat there for about 30 mins and she still have never come to him. It's taking my food about 40 mins to cook I guest they had to go kill the cow and all I order was a double cheeseburger. Then when my order came up she brought my food to my on a plate when I clearly told her it was for to go. Then I had just two hamburger patties order for my dog and she totally for got to add the to my order. What in the world is going on here. Do I need to go in there my self and fix my own food. And the sad part is there is nobody in here. SMH.

We tried about two months ago on a Sunday and there was quite a line so we tried somewhere else new to us. It was worth the trip back here! Marigold is a really cute place inside. We were between the breakfast and lunch rushes so we easily found a table after ordering. We noticed there was a steady flow of customers and the tables turned over at a decent pace so maybe we should have stood in line last time around. Hard to know sometimes. We ordered the breakfast burrito, avocado toast and buttermilk pancakes. Service was quick and friendly. The pancakes were fluffy and they looked good. The avocado toast and the breakfast burrito were delicious! We will definitely stop by Marigold when we're in town again!

The atmosphere is fine, but for picky eaters, it's a no go. Nothing against the restaurant, their food is just a little too niche and we're unable to make common substitutes or additions. Examples include: don't have chocolate chips for pancakes, syrup is served too hot, cups were breakable. I just wish the had a kids menu section with 2 items that where super simplified and came in kid friendly utensils etc

We had dinner reservations at their Double Cut Steakhouse. Our server told us about a fireworks show at dusk there so we walked over to the convention area and they had lots of seats set up for the public to sit which was nice. This place is HUGE - they own so much space here. I was really surprised. The fireworks show was really good. It went on for awhile. We enjoyed it. I think we dodged a bullet with the parking because we were there for dinner. You had to go past an attendant who had a sign by him that parking was $25 per car. When we told him we had dinner reservations, he let us go through. All in all, a good experience. Detailed review of the steakhouse in a separate review.

1/5 We have now…read morebooked the Kalahari Treehouse TWICE, driven seven hours each way with our family TWICE, spent more than $5,000 between the two trips--and somehow have still never stepped foot inside the Treehouse we booked. Our first trip was in June. We specifically booked the Treehouse because that was the experience we wanted for our family. When we arrived, we were told there had been a double-booking issue and the Treehouse was no longer available. We were moved to a suite instead. After that experience, I spoke with a Kalahari representative who offered us a discounted return stay so we could come back and finally have the Treehouse experience we originally booked. So we gave Kalahari another chance. We made another seven-hour drive to Wisconsin Dells on August 27, only to arrive and discover that we once again DID NOT have a Treehouse. This time, we had been placed in a cabin. The entire reason we made this second trip was because Kalahari failed to provide the Treehouse the first time. I have email correspondence specifically referencing the two-bedroom loft, and even the Kalahari representative who called us shortly before arrival referred to the two-bedroom loft. At no point during the booking process was I told we were coming back to stay in a cabin. Yet when we arrived, that's where we were placed. I have repeatedly asked a very simple question: When did our reservation become a cabin reservation, who changed it, and where is the documentation showing that I was informed of or agreed to that change? I still have not received a satisfactory answer. We spent approximately $2,800 on this second stay alone, and the resolution offered was a $150 refund. So across two trips, our family has spent more than $5,000 and approximately 28 hours driving to and from Wisconsin Dells. Both trips were negatively impacted by essentially the exact same issue. Book a Treehouse. Arrive. No Treehouse. The most frustrating part is that the SECOND trip only happened because Kalahari was supposed to be making the FIRST situation right. Mistakes happen. I understand that. But when a company makes the same mistake twice--and the second mistake happens during the trip that was specifically arranged to correct the first one--$150 against a $2,800 stay doesn't feel like an appropriate resolution. I've tried handling this privately and giving Kalahari the opportunity to review what happened. I've sent emails, provided screenshots of the correspondence, and asked leadership to review the reservation history. At this point, I still don't have an explanation for how our promised accommodation became a cabin. I can't even get a reply from upper management. For a resort at this price point, I expected significantly better communication, accountability, and customer service. More than $5,000 spent. Two seven-hour drives each way. Two Treehouse bookings. Zero nights in a Treehouse. That pretty much sums up our experience.

The old bones are still showing, with exposed brick walls and the large open windows giving the place that "well, they sure don't build 'em like this anymore" kind of charm. Right smack in the middle of the main floor sits a big ol' bar, surrounded by bright lime-green accent chairs that somehow make perfect sense once you're sitting in one, bellying up to the aluminum topped bar. Tables are scattered throughout both floors, all are absolutely packed, and not a grumpy face in sight. Upstairs, the two-story layout gives the place a little extra breathing room and a touch of old-building grandeur. It's quirky without trying too hard, colorful without being fussy, and comfortable in that distinctly Midwestern way. Why not start with an Old Fashioned and those Wisconsin cheese curds--because apparently regular cheese wasn't doing enough heavy lifting. These little golden nuggets come out hot, crisp, and gloriously greasy, a little salty, a little oily, plenty cheesy, and best eaten while they're still hot enough to make you question your life choices. The Old Fashioned, well... bless its heart, it tried. It had all the usual suspects--whiskey, a little sweetness, an orange garnish, and a healthy dose of bitters--but somehow the bitters forgot to show up for work. It wasn't terrible, exactly. It just lacked that gruff Wisconsin attitude you'd hope for in an Old Fashioned. God Bless The Queen! The Queen is their wood-fired pizza that keeps things simple while teasing your taste buds with rich fresh flavor. The flavors are classic Italian comfort, with the tomato bringing a little tang, the mozzarella keeping things creamy, and the Parmesan adding that salty, nutty punch at the end. The basil gives it a fresh, herby lift, while the wood-fired crust brings that smoky, crispy edge that makes you want to pick up another slice before you've even finished the first. Loved it! Eating this pizza in an old bank feels like peak Wisconsin: keep the brick, add a bar, fire up a pizza oven, and throw some cheese curds at the situation. Somehow, it works. Cheers!
