Irvs Burgers is one of my go-to spots! Service is always friendly and quick, which I love. The outdoor seating is perfect for summer, and the interior is a great size, always clean and comfortable. They have one of the best turkey burgers, and I'm obsessed with all the customizable options and toppings. They also do a really solid lettuce-wrapped option, which makes it easy to enjoy without feeling too guilty. Consistently good every time, definitely a favorite. read more

I had the privilege of being served by Sonia Hong in the 2010s when it was just her and 1-2 helpers. She doodled on my plate as I waited for a cheese burger + fries. That attention to creating a personal moment with all her customers was special. I recall the months before she closed in 2018. In it's most recent form, (3.0 if anyones keeping track) I applaud the Off the Menu team for bringing this legendary place into a Post-Covid world. The cheeseburger from the film The Menu will always live in my mind. The burgers, the fries, and the shakes, match the slick branding required to survive our Social Media world. Even the Addison Rae jalapeño burger special had me asking myself, I hope this never leaves the menu. This place deserves the drive and we are lucky to have more locations, but this is the OG spot, where burger history lives on. read more

I honestly don't understand the hype around this place. The service, cleanliness, and (almost) all the food was mediocre, at best. Young kid working the register had an attitude and could barely let me speak before blurting out the next question or statement. I mentioned it was my first time and tried to get an understanding of some of the menu options. I also asked him to hold my milkshake and I would pick it up after I ate my burger and fries, to which he confirmed. Well guess what? When my order was ready - my shake was sitting there waiting and already melting. So clearly he didn't care to follow my request which he acknowledged. I ordered the single original roadside burger on a sesame seed bun with fries and an Oreo shake for about $22. The bun was the only good thing about the burger. It was toasted nicely and soft on the top. The rest was the most basic burger I've eaten in a long while. The patty was dry and bland, the sauce tasted watered down, and nothing else about the burger stood out. The fries on the other hand were perfection. If they made the burgers half as good as the fries, this would be a solid spot I'd return to. The fries were so crispy and hot on the outside with light airy and fluffiness on the inside. The "Oreo" shake? HA. This was a regular shake with maybe 2 oreos. The color alone is embarrassing. As a lifelong Oreo shake lover - this was an embarrassment to Oreo milkshakes. The interior tables were all filthy without any care from workers to come clean them too. read more

My coworker and I recently visited this place for lunch. We placed our order at the walk up window, and since it was so hot outside, we opted for the small dine in seating area in the air conditioning. I ordered the single roadside burger combo and added chiles for an additional .50. They a la carte charge an additional fee for almost everything. My order came up to about $19, which I guess is standard these days for a cheeseburger combo. I guess. In the indoors seating area, we found the music to overwhelmingly loud. For no reason. We couldn't even converse with one another, because we were both annoyed by the LOUD music and being unable to hear one another. We were able to hear our number being called through an overhead speaker that muted the music as numbers were called. I felt the order came out in a reasonable amount of time considering it was around lunch hour. I thought the fries were good! The burger wasn't anything to write home about, but I did find the bun to be very soft and it elevated the taste of the burger. This place has been checked off my list, and I don't think I'll be craving it and returning any time soon. read more

Love the quality at Irv's, it's consistent through and through. Stopped by here on my lunch break and had to double back the next day. My server Serena was extremely patient as I figured out what would cure my craving with tons of questions. She was extremely helpful and full of recommendations, I'm sad they've discontinued the turkey burger but I still found a way to get my protein fix. I ordered a Just For You, which essentially is a build your own burger that starts with a patty cheese and their Irv's sauce, I did that minus the beef patty, 3 fried eggs, Irv's sauce, pickles, grilled and raw onions, bacon and lettuce. The next day I put my own twist on their Nina Western Burger, with subbing for beyond meat, adding bacon, BBQ sauce, Onion Rings, pickles, Lettuce and an egg. It's a lot I know but it got the job done! 10/10 experience. Will be back for muoreee! LOVE! read more

Tried Irv's Burgers thanks to Peacock promoting their TV show Poker Face, 2nd season! The promotion giveaway included a burger and a side of lies (fries). The burger included pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. It was a solid burger! Reminded me of a classic American burger. But the fries, I could have done without. I asked a friend who is a WeHo local to name a better burger than Shake Shack and he named this place. Burgers aren't cheap anymore so I don't eat them as often so this was a treat. The basic cheeseburger is a quarter pound of beef and only costs $5 (but virtually everything is extra) and one order of fries was plenty for two people. The burger appears to be what they call a smash burger, meaning the edges of the burger don't create a perfect circle and the edges taste extra crunchy and really show off the char grilled burger. Normal burgers. Usually it's ok, but sometimes they overcook the food to the point of burning. Also, soda is never carbonated enough.

I really want to support legacy establishments but.... well service has gone down hill, and so has the food. No more beyond meat burger (or it was out as it still said beyond burger on the receipt) replaced with some generic bean patty a horrific homage to the really terrible veggie burgers that emerged from the mid/late 90s that may or may not have cheese in it. After the ordeal with ordering a veggie patty burger in lettuce wrap. They put the roadside on the bill I can't do cheese or irvs sauce started with saying that I couldn't do cheese dairy egg etc. So doing an upsell on a burger removing the cheese and special sauce is BS, a ripoff, and bad business practice. One of the staff members made attempts to make it right after explaining the issue 3xs it was mostly resolved but yeah not coming here again. read more

First time I visited Irv's was during a promotion for Poker Face. I really appreciated a delicious fat and juicy BeyondBurger! So good, kept thinking I needed to go back for another! It took a couple of months, but I made it back for another....Oh No! They no longer serve Beyond Burgers! They only serve bean burgers now! And they only have American cheese now. And they charge an extra $2.00 upcharge for the bean burger vs. they're hamburger which is something I can't figure out. I gave them 2 stars because it was an ok bean burger, but not close to tasting like a Beyond Burger and I certainly don't understand the $2. upcharge. read more
