This shop was very knowledgeable and helpful with helping me pick out a bike and let's you test out different kinds. I ended up picking out a bike that was quoted $500 on the sticker, the man took it to the back and brought back a $699 sticker and said it was a mistake this was the actual price. I told him no the sticker originally said $500, he then said ok and wanted to charge me $50 extra for the taxes and such. I was so sad i wanted to support local businesses, but it felt like he was trying to scam me and upsell me. Great little bike shop. I think their prices are very fair, and they did a really good job of fixing my bike. They did take quite a while, about 1-1.5 weeks over the max amount of time they quoted me for, but that was during the surge of people getting their bikes fixed during quarantine. I didn't realize how messed up my bike was until they fixed it, and then riding was so much easier! I was pretty much riding against a lot of friction up to 10 miles at a time before, so when I got on after I got serviced, riding was like butter from then on. I came back to pick up and the woman recognized me even though I was wearing a mask the entire time. Friendly staff, and my bike was in tip top shape. read more

Sold me a bad inner tube. Cashier was on the phone the entire interaction and not even 10 minutes into riding my back tire was flat again. I was on a bike path the entire time and didn't traverse any rocks or even dirt so no chance of catching a nail or a sharp rock. I really wanted to like this place, I wanted to support local instead of going all the way to Incycle so I call and ask for a service quote. She tells me $70 and I say okay I get there the following day and the price changes to $90 she says it's an error on her part yet I have to pay? Terrible way to run a business if YOU make a mistake you can get yourself a repeat customer by validating the quote YOU gave instead of trying to make $20 extra. This place ripped me off. They either lied or didn't know what they were doing. I took my e-bike in with both brakes not working. Super scary. They told me 35 bucks each to bleed my brakes. I also bought 2 new tires. I took the bike home and the next day the front brake went out. Took it in that Monday. They insisted that I needed new brake lines and a bunch of other unnecessary repairs. The lady owner spent 5 minutes telling me that that the best the can do that it was my bike was built wrong or something Ike that. Took it home and that night front brake stop working again. The bleed kit I ordered came the next day so I bled my brakes and wouldn't you know, good as new. This was on Tuesday and after bleeding both brakes, work great. I hate to think they ripped me off but more like pretended to know how to fix something when they didn't. So do I get at least a partial refund for services not rendered? read more

I needed a quick tune-up for my ebike, and couldn't pass up the $60 charge that Irwindale Cycles offered. I dropped my ebike off on a Wednesday and told them they could take as long as they'd like doing the tune up since I wasn't in a hurry. My ebike was done on Friday, and picked it up on Saturday. To my surprise, they only charged me $45! They told me that most of the things on my ebike were good, and only a few things needed to be done. So they didn't feel that I should pay the full price. When a company takes the initiative to do good work and save some money for its customers, then you know that company is honest and cares about the people they service! My brakes needed some serious adjustments. When I got the ebike back, I took it for a ride, and no more squeaking from the brakes!!!! I'm very happy and satisfied I chose Irwindale Cycles! Definitely going to be a repeat customer! I have a few parts on order that I was going to install on my ebike myself, but I decided I will take it to this shop! Went in today for some bike shoes. Let me tell you, WOW. The staff there is very caring and most of all informative. Norma the lady at the register was VERY attentive and helpful. Spoke with her over the phone yesterday about some shoe recommendations. I went in today told her I was the person from the shoe call. She guided me to the proper shoes for my bike as well as the proper pedals. She was a great help! Walter the other person there was super cool. Very helpful. He also had me do a few test rides with my new pedals to see if I needed some adjustments before leaving. This is by far the best bike shop in the area. 10 stars. read more

Went in with my buddy because both our bikes had simple issues that we didn't have tools for before the ride. We waited until the store opened at 10am and was surprised when the nice gentleman told us that he was actually already in the store before that. He says we can just go in early around the back and he will fix our issues even before the store opens. Nice! He was quick about replacing my inner tube and my friend's brake alignment and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the bike paths around the area. I brought in my bike all it needed was the break was a little off and to adjust the break and for them to tighten them up , they charged me 20 when they said 10. They never put any new parts on it, just adjust and tighten that's it and charged me double what they say smh read more

People were not knowledgeable, my bike wasn't built properly, there were several loose points on the bike. My advise is to make sure everything works properly before you leave. They don't care about your bike or you. They did have a good stock of equipment and bikes. read more

Had them talked me into replacing my rear wheel flat with a heavy duty tube- which also had a pinch flat two days later. And that heavy duty rubber was heavy and honestly - junk. Don't waste your time ordering here. This shop was close to work so stopped to check it out for parts I needed for my giant track bike. They didn't have What I needed but they said they would order it and have it in a couple of days. Excellent service! Went to get my bike serviced because the chain was slipping in all gears. Martin the owner took his time and walked me through all the issues, he was very informative. I have an older mountain bike, so he was mindful about keeping the cost down. Turns out one of the shifters was not compatable with my set up (got it from another shop). Total labor was only 20 bucks, cost of a new shifter. He also straightened out my rear tire and fixed the chain at no additional cost. My old bike feels like new again. I stumbled across this shop and decided to stop in to pick up some tubes. Irwindale Cycles is a small shop with just a handful of bikes stacked along the wall and a display case with random bike components. This is not a bike shop to just stop in and browse. The tubes they sold me cost $7.50 each and just came with a rubber band around them. Despite the look of the tubes, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The first tube only lasted me 20 miles before the valve busted, no puncture. The second tube didn't last much longer. Bottom line, do not buy tubes from this place. read more
