My family has been going to Isabella's Pizzeria in Baton Rouge off and on since our girls were young. They're not the busiest Italian restaurant around, but they do have a really good menu and some good deals too. We enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Pizza and got a free small cheese pizza; the flavor was great. I especially loved the whole garlic cloves on the BBQ pizza! Also, the Tuscan Chicken Panini was the bomb!! I'd stop by here early day to grab one if I could! The ambiance and service are good too. Clean and plenty of seating inside. No complaints. It's my new fave. The food is perfection. The service is great. As you walk in you're greeted like you're family. It's casual dining as it's meant to be. I always order this but my husband is making his way through the dinner plates and always raves. You must try their small garlic cheese bread- 6 pieces perfect for sharing. My pizza is divine- a variation of the veggie pizza on the menu- so good. Isabella's is a father and daughter operation Sinan cooks and Seline runs the front. BTW, the kitchen is spotless. And they are open 7 days. They are located on Bluebonnet at Airline right next to the Party store and the military recruiting offices. (Access. From Bluebonnet) They also have a full bar. We LOVE Isabella's! We've been eating there for probably 10 years and have celebrated several big occasions there because the food is amazing, the service is attentive and friendly, and there's space for a large group (or, maybe 3 at a time). The chef is passionate about cooking! And, the prices are very reasonable. We just celebrated our son's high school graduation, four years after celebrating his 8th grade graduation there. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything is made fresh. My husband, son, and I ordered 2 sandwiches with side salads, 2 cups of tomato basil soup, and a pepperoni pizza for around $70! Incredible! We will keep going back, and you should, too! read more

If memory serves me correctly, this is the 2nd and current location of Isabella's---I have dined at this location 3 times in the last 12 months---all at lunch time--the place has never been more than 50% capacity during the 3 times there --ambiance has been peaceful and polite and service has been prompt if we are ready to order and eat or patient if we wanted to take our time or were uncertain as to what there's to order---of course, there's pizza available and other Italian themed offerings such as spaghetti and meatballs, Italian sub, and pasta. Also, as you enter the establishment there's a a small board with handwritten specials and the standard lunch special of salad and small/personal pizza---these offerings are between$12-$15. The pizza is cooked after you order it and is fresh and hot. I like this establishment and hope to get here more often in the future. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try a local pizza business and were very disappointed! We ordered over the phone for pickup. Upon arrival, there was no one at the host stand, which is understandable considering there weren't many people dining in. I wasn't greeted by the server, but I remained patient until other customers walked in and were directed and greeted immediately. After walking up to the bar, another customer who arrived after me was served first. I felt as if I was treated this way for racially motivated reasons. After arriving home already dissatisfied with the service, I found that the pizza was much smaller compared to the photos online. It was also very poorly cut, as if the presentation of a $22 XL pizza didn't matter. I called the store to resolve my issue and was told to bring the pizza back in order to receive a refund. The OWNER, who reiterated his position to me multiple times, raised his voice and was very agitated that I called him. After he didn't help at all, I decided to share my experience in the store with the OWNER. He didn't care to hear a word I was saying and instead kept asking me, "What do you want me to do about it?" As this review was written during the COVID-19 pandemic, I opted for carry out instead of using the dining room. I drove past Isabella's Pizzeria and decided to stop in to pick up a pizza as it was near my hotel. The pizzeria was located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The dining room was still open, but there were few tables and chairs due to social distancing measures. I ordered a two topping large pizza from the bar. The server was friendly and professional. I was told it would take 25 minutes for my order to be ready. I decided to wait in the car. 25 minutes has passed and I went back inside and my order was ready as promised. I took my pizza back to my hotel room and it remained hot and fresh. The pizza was a thin crust with a generous amount of cheese with ample sauce and pepperonis. The mushrooms were on the skimpy side. Overall the pizza was wonderful but did not deliver much value, as it was rather expensive for what I was getting. However, it was certainly a change from a franchised pizza joint and I may come back some day to dine inside and try out some of their other offerings on the menu. read more

I'd never heard of this place but it was a recommendation from a friend. I ordered the shrimp pesto pizza and added crawfish. The seafood was well seasoned and not too much sauce. This place is just sad. Our go-to pizza place (Italian Pie) is closed for a bit, so we decided to try here. We ordered via Waitr, which was a mistake. There was no one in the restaurant when we went to pick-up and that would have been a red flag. The dude that greeted us seemed bothered by our presence. He seemed relieved that we had a Waitr order and wouldn't tear him away from his laptop (conveniently situated on the bar) for very long. Good luck with your screenplay or homework, dude. We got out as soon as possible. Now, the food. We got a large pizza with pepperoni and bacon, as well as Garlic Knots. The Garlic Knots were sad. Sure, they weren't knots, but they also weren't fully cooked. Very doughy and tasteless. The pizza... I'm pretty sure they stole the recipe from Mr. Gatti's or CeCe's Pizza. It was that cheap, almost frozen taste. It was thin crust and pretty greasy. The cheese was sparse, as was the bacon. Pepperoni amounts were pretty standard. Definitely wasn't worth the calories. Trust the reviews and don't waste your time, money, or calories here. I came here very reluctantly with a few friends after my friend told us to "have faith in Isabella." Lol. He's never been here either, btw. We ordered mozzarella sticks and an XL Isabella's Supreme, no ground beef, substitute it with roasted garlic. Mozzarella sticks came out pretty quickly, but it wasn't hot and the breading was soft and not crunchy... I didn't enjoy it, but my friend said he liked it - pretty sure he was lying. Pizza came out about ten minutes later. Didn't look very appetizing. Waaaay too many olives, not enough pepperoni. All other toppings had a good amount. Friend grabbed the first piece, took a bite, and said, "Okay, I'm a bit disappointed in Isabella now." The pizza was soft and floppy, had no crunch, and wasn't hot. Would not even give this establishment 1 star. Ordered a pizza this weekend and the dough was not fully cooked through. The pizza was tasteless and the toppings were scant. Called the same night to speak with the manager about the pizza and I was told that a manager would not be in for 3 days. The manager did not call me can and I had to call them. Was told "we are not sure when the manager will be back." Finally got the manager who is also the owner to call me back and he insulted me. Told me that I took a bite of the pizza and put it back in the box when I did not. He told me that he would not do anything to make this right as "people call all the time and just want free food." I used to be a loyal customer but I will never go back and I will tell everyone to not go. The manager is rude, unprofessional and as tasteless as the disgusting pizza he serves. I ate supper here on Friday, May 21, 2021 - ordered an extra large pepperoni and green olive pizza. As usual, the food was ready in no time. The pizza was hot, savory, and full of flavor. The price is also just right. Isabella's is and will always be one of my favorite go-to places for amazing pizza, outstanding pasta, and knock-your-socks-off lasagna. I have been a loyal customer of this establishment for nearly 10 years, and I have never had a bad experience here. Let's start with the positive. It was clean and comfortable. Service was good. They have Coke Zero (hard to find at many places and a favorite of mine.) the food was tasty. That brings me to the less-than-positive. While the food was tasty, it was not oh-em-gee fantastic. Unfortunately, I would put it in the mediocre category--there are so many competitors that simply knock this kind of food out of the park. Similarly, while I appreciate the large menu, I find the food is very overpriced. I was entertaining a cauliflower crust pizza, but when the personal (10-inch) pizzas start at around $14.50 and there is a $3.00 upcharge for the cauliflower crust, I start thinking of many other places that I can get the same thing for much less. For my dinner this time I had the tomato basil soup and salad combo. Like I said before, it was tasty but nothing that really wowed me. This was only my second visit as the first time we had pizza takeout and I was left underwhelmed also. Would I go back? Yes, but probably not too soon. read more

Ordered the Tuscan Chicken and the "Philly Cheese Steak" to go. The Tuscan Chicken wasn't really that bad for a panini. The "Philly Cheese Steak", on the other hand, was a dismal mistake. It was a mistake, on their part, to call it something it was not. A "Philly Cheese Steak" is made with sliced steak not lean roast beef. That would be a "Roast Beef Sandwich/Poboy". A "Philly Cheese Steak" does not have lettuce. What it should have is 'tender' grilled onions and bell pepper. This sandwich had tough half cooked onions and no peppers. A ciabatta bread is way too tough for a "Philly Cheese Steak". So in summary; the only thing I MIGHT go there for isn't really worth going there for! read more

I started with a small Miti salad and also ordered a meatball sandwich. BF ordered a build your own calzone. The good....the salad was very good. Spring mix was fresh, nice portion of cheese and other toppings. Balsamic dressing was not house made, but it was good. And served on the side. The pita it came with was hot and fresh tasting. The wine pours were large for the price ($5.75). Server was attentive and food came out hot and fairly quick. Meatball sandwich was warm, meatballs were tasty, not too much sauce and the bread was fresh. The bad....the meatball sandwich could have used more cheese and more meat. The calzone was ok. Lots of cheese, but skimpy on other fillings. (Even with 5 in there). There was no wheat bread or wheat crust available, even though it was listed as on option on the menu. The wine list did not match what they had and the server didn't know what they had. The odd...The meatballs were thinly sliced in the sandwich and not balls of meat. The wine glasses were miss matched. Everyone at our table had a different style and type of glass. They were out of the two specials, but they were still on the caulk board out front.
