Dinner set was amazing. Only 70 for 6 course meal is a fantastic deal. The service was impeccable and the restaurant was beautiful. Very comfortable and I had a wonderful experience

Fabulous place to enjoy a Japanese set menu. It had been a few years since my last visit, and this time the experience seemed more enjoyable overall; however, there were a few notable flaws. First, the dining room temperature was far too warm, making it difficult to enjoy the meal comfortably. Moreover, there appeared to be some disagreement among the staff regarding the gratuity charges. It was unclear why the mandatory service charge had increased from 18% to 20%, especially considering that the service provided was, at best, mediocre. Needless to say, this left a lasting negative impression, despite the fact that I was not the one paying the bill. While the food was enjoyable, the overall experience has given me pause, and I would certainly hesitate before returning in the future.

Located inside of the Miyako Hybrid Hotel, it's a decent restaurant. Their normal dinner menu is a bit lackluster for the price but I usually visit during their happy hours if I'm staying at the hotel as well. Prices are good during happy hour and the ambiance is relatively upscale. Our server was also very attentive, constantly checking in to make sure we didn't need anything else.

I was invited to a surprise 75th birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. Boy what a great venue to have a surprise party. I have been here several times so I knew The food was going to be excellent. ... and so it was delicious again. The service was over the top and the way this huge group of over 50 was perfectly laid out.

Had the seasonal special menu here. Reservation made through yelp. Parking is plentiful. Everything about the restaurant is objectively nice. Beautiful restaurant with varied eating areas, elegant decor, and nice staff. The service was incredible, felt like they were really attentive. The food was also objectively well cooked. The meat was perfect wall to wall pink, well seasoned. The sushi and sashimi choices were fresh. The tempura was freshly fried and vegetables were perfectly cooked. Everything tasted how it should have. However, for the price I found myself not finding anything particularly special. Because of that, I probably wouldn't go back even though things are as close to perfect as you can get. Would be nice for a banquet type of occasion, but maybe not a date.

Such a lovely restaurant inside the Miyako Hybrid Hotel. Chose the bento box for lunch. It came with a variety of different small dishes shin as sashimi, miso soup, vegetable tempura, rice, picked veggies. The freshest fish I have had in a long long time. The presentation of each piece of dish is so purposeful aesthetically and flavor. The service is excellent. Great lunch or dinner venue. Ample parking outside. Highly recommend this restaurant

Mont Blanc dessert. Subtly sweet and chestnut flavor. Highly recommend!

Wow. This place is incredible. It's located inside the Miyako Hybrid Hotel. The service was incredible and they checked in with our table several times and shared their thoughts on certain menu items. We got the chu-toro, otoro, chicken teriyaki for the kids, ume shiso, uni, cucumber roll, and a couple of other dishes. Got the Mont Blanc dessert which was subtly sweet and so unique in flavor (chestnut). Everything was fresh and flavor was on point. They were great with the kiddos and even gave them the kids chopsticks. The price is on the higher end, but totally reasonable given the quality of everything. Highly recommend!

This is our second time here. Everything was wonderful, fast and efficient services with friendly staffs. Nice and clean restaurant. Just that our second time here, the Uni sushi were not fresh (dark color) and not at the standard. But we will still come back and try, especially if we stay at the Prince Wakiki .

We had a wonderful birthday party here! It was so very nice to be able to choose which set menu course each person wanted and we were served each course all together! The Ise menu is quite large, so bring your appetite! There were elements of each type of set menu that were very unique and tasty! We enjoyed our semi private room!

We ate here yesterday. After having several bad experiences at some local sushi restaurants, my BFF mentioned Ise-Shima to me, located inside the MIYAKO HYBRID HOTEL, on Western Ave, in GARDENA. We ate some of the best Sushi I've ever had, it was heavenly. Spider roll, Spicy Tuna roll, Chu Toro Nigiri, 3 kinds of Chefs App, and the Rainbow Rolls were so delicious, the contrast of this location compared to other sushi restaurants were night and day.The pictures says it all. The Shushi Chefs were true professionals. I highly recommend Ise-Shima for anyone who wants a fresh high high-quality fish.

Yellowtail carpaccio

We came here for a birthday dinner and they put us in a closed off section of the restaurant. It's really nice inside, feels upscale. It would be great for a business meal or a date. It's located within a hotel so it's not obvious from the outside, parking is easy out front. We ordered the yellowtail carpaccio, and a couple of their signature rolls - the flaming tuna and the salmon tide roll. The presentation of everything was really nice, lots of (edible!) flowers decorating each plate. The yellowtail carpaccio was stunning, I've never seen one look like this one. I thought it was good, nice and citrusy, and the quality of the fish tasted good. We were less enthused about the rolls, sadly. Each roll came with five pieces which we thought was pretty odd and made it harder to share. Both rolls had inconsistently sized pieces and most were too wide, making it somewhat awkward to stuff each one in your mouth. They should definitely make the pieces smaller and give you more. If you're on a date, I wouldn't advise getting a roll here haha. The flaming tuna was by far significantly better than the salmon tide, it tasted fresher and just overall better. The salmon tide was a little too creamy for my liking. My family who ordered off the sushi/sashimi menu seemed to love what they got, though! The service was professional and kind but incredibly slow. We had to continue asking our waiter for things and after a few times of asking without receiving what we needed, we had to ask other wait staff. He had a very professional and calm demeanor, but he wasn't very on top of things. Overall decent sushi spot, a little overpriced for what it is though. And I would stick with ordering off their sushi/sashimi menu instead of ordering rolls.

Chicken Curry Cutlet
Thearchergravity ..

Absolutely delicious authentic Japanese cuisine. I recently went to Ise-Shima for the first time and was blown away. I eat a far bit of Japanese food and this was some of the best I've had in a while bar none. I can't recommend the Chicken Curry Cutlet enough. Not to mention the price was great and the service was spot on. The atmosphere was also fairly high end.

The restaurant is spotlessly clean, well-organized, and welcoming--everything feels fresh and well cared for. The food quality is outstanding. Every dish is packed with flavor, clearly made with high-quality ingredients, and tastes authentic and thoughtfully prepared. Nothing felt rushed or sloppy--each bite showed consistency and care. Whether it was the meats, sides, or sauces, everything was on point. What really elevates the experience, though, is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Today we decided to revisit the restaurant for old time's sake. Inside, the main wall was repainted with a new mural. The annual LA Marathon posters, pinned by the staff who participated in the events, were also gone. Nonetheless, it retained its traditional izakaya décor with its counter seating alongside some regular tables. The staff were all new but still very courteous and brought the menu and water right away. New items were added but the core dishes remained the same. For this visit, we ordered our regular items and they arrived in 10 minutes: Eboshi Mini Trio with Shio Ramen, Fried Rice and Gyoza: The fried rice was still top notch, with slightly firm texture, not too oily, and pleasantly seasoned. The Shio Ramen with its clear broth was nicely savory. The thin noodles were cooked perfectly, and the chashu pieces were tender. To complement the set, the gyozas with their delicate wraps had nicely burnt bottoms, and flavorful fillings. Champon Ramen: A complex ramen with an assortment of meat, veggies and seafood. There were sliced pork pieces, shrimps, squids, cabbage, onions, snow peas and many more. The clear broth was quite savory and enriched by oil from sauteed ingredients. The noodles had a very nice texture and were a tad al dente. We were amazed that after all these years, the restaurant retained its original taste and flavor. We found out the reason why while exiting the restaurant: The young cook from two decades ago is now running the open kitchen as head chef. Great food and still reasonable prices. It was totally worth revisiting.

The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. The restaurant is in a food court with a few other options, and a decent amount of seating. It's also inside of a grocery store, so if you're with a picky group, everyone could theoretically order something different and eat together. I remember I was a little put off by the anime branding of the restaurant at first (it seemed a little childish to me) but Pasta Stories is really a solid wafu pasta place, and I love that they focus on different regional flavors of Japan. The first bite into surprisingly soft and wet potato starch breading shocked me, and while the overall flavor of the chicken won me over, I did think there had to be something wrong with my order.
