Have been here for 2 times and the sushi has always been amazing and affordable. This time we managed to talk to the owner a little bit, he's been here for 32 years (or maybe is 34)!! And the spot has been filled with Dodger's merch gifted by customers, very very cute spot! We love it.

This place has been around for awhile and the prices and reviews seemed good, so decided to give it a try. It's a small restaurant more for take out then sit in, with walls are lined with lots of baseball bobbleheads. Food didn't take too long to make. Got No. 8, Amaebi (sweet shrimp), Uni (sea urchin), and California roll Overall the food is better than I expected. Didn't really like the tamago, ikura or uni here. The amaebi was good and I liked how the California roll wasn't too much rice (better than Nijiya). May try inari and futomaki in the future. Overall 3.5 but for the price will rate as 3.75. Would come back for the california roll and the sweet shrimp. Might try a different set

5/5 No. 8 special -The special was so fresh and so good. Very quick to receive. I ordered takeout because when I went on a Sunday the shop is very small and there is not a lot of places to sit 5/5 yellow tail hand roll -It's shaped like a basic roll before it's cut just keep that in mind in case you're looking for a cone shape 2/5 ambiance - again it's probably best to plan to take out if your going to get food from here

So fresh, #8 was $19. Small shop to-go run by wife and husband. 20 min wait, so call in to order. Easy big parking lot. Salmon, yellow-tail, and mackerel were delicious.

Really good Nigiri Sushi. The fish was fresh. Good acidity on the rice. Service was very friendly. If they could add Ponzu sauce to the Halibut, that would be awesome.

My family and I have been coming here for over 20yrs. The sushi has always been amazing and the quality has not changed in those same 20yrs. It's in a small store front. He is an avid Dodgers and Hanshin Tigers fan. He and his wife have worked together at this small family owned business for more than 25yrs and he is still providing quality sushi that you want to eat as soon as you pick it up. My favorites will always be, Tuna, Otoro, Salmon, Halibut both the Unagi (fresh water eel) and the Anago (Salt Water Eel). Trust me when I say, don't sleep on the California Roll.

Very good and fresh sushi. The best spicy tuna roll ive ever tasted! Would return just for that and their hamachi. Lots of Dodgers and baseball items decorate all the walls. Take out only. Fast and friendly service.

Literally just finished eating my meal and went straight to Yelp just to write this review. My bf and I ordered salmon, yellowtail, California roll, and spicy tuna roll. We looked at each other after we finished eating and knew we had to go back for more LOL. For our second round we got spicy tuna roll and spicy yellowtail. Everything tasted really fresh and it was reasonably priced for good it was! We were the only customers there and we waited around 10 mins for each order. The owner is so nice and even let us pay with card on our second order even though it was less than $20. Salmon - 10/10 Yellowtail - 10/10 Spicy tuna roll - 12/10 (our fave) California roll - 9/10 (not my usual, but had to try because everyone said it was good. It's one of the best I've had!) Spicy yellowtail - 7/10

What a delightful mom & pop sushi spot offering delicious, made to order sushi. What sets them apart is their superb quality at prices comparable to supermarkets, if not better. Despite competition from local japanese grocery stores like Nijiya, tokyo central and mitsuwa, this hidden gem holds its own. This location accepts take out orders only.

This mom and pop spot is so underrated! It's take-out only. I highly recommend calling ahead; we arrived around 6:30pm on a Sunday and waited about 25 min for the order. The only worker was the older gentleman sushi chef. He was friendly and hard working. SUSHI We ordered the Sushi Combo #1 ($14), Sushi Combo #8 ($18), Eel Roll ($9), and Spicy Tuna Roll ($6.50). I was very impressed with the quality! The fish was soo soft, including the squid! I've read this old restaurant has been around for YEARS. I will definitely be back for high quality sushi for low prices!

    Menu

One of those DELICIOUS, FRESH and authentic Japanese hole in the wall sushi places run by real Japanese people (who happen to love the Dodgers and decorate the walls with Dodger love). I think I might have ate inside the tiny restaurant once before but I think it's take out only now? The taste was amazing even if I ate it in my car And very affordable!

    Spicy Tuna Roll - yummy!

I usually read through the Yelp comments and look at the photos before trying a new place, but this time I only checked the rating -- which was great -- and decided to go based on that and the FB post. Looking back, I probably should have read the reviews first. We didn't realize the bento boxes are only available during lunchtime, and we were also surprised to find out they don't have yakitori. Those were two things we were hoping to try. We came with a party and ordered several items, including the Akatsuki Special Hot Pot, which was recommended to us, along with other dishes. The tempura and karaage were definitely the highlights -- both were really good. The rest of the food was okay for our group, but unfortunately it didn't really satisfy our craving or stand out the way we were hoping. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly. I think the biggest thing was that our expectations were set by what we saw on FB, and the items that caught our attention weren't available when we visited. I would recommend checking their current menu before going so you know what to expect. Maybe we'll come back another time to try their lunch menu and explore more of what they offer.

When we arrived for lunch, the place was quite festive with a mixture of young people, families with kids, and an ongoing lunch party with senior ladies. Luckily, we were able to get the last table, and the friendly waiter brought the water and menus right away. After browsing through their menu, we ordered the following items: Special Fish Combo (Spanish Mackerel): The Spanish mackerel was nicely grilled but lightly seasoned. It had quite a few bones, which took a little bit out of the enjoyment of the meal. The udon noodles had a very nice texture, however the broth was on the bland side. The California rolls were well made and flavorful. Tempura Combo: The shrimps were tender, however, the battered outer layer of the tempura was a tad thick and not quite airy. Like Fish Combo, the udon had a bland broth, and the California rolls were fine. Our main issue was the 50-minute wait time for the meals. As a courtesy, the restaurant definitely should have informed us about the delay.
