Rose is very personable and cares about her clients and thier lifestyles in an effort to match your nails to that lifestyle. I have officially found my nail home! After my horrific experience at Chi Chi nails at the Riverside Plaza(my foot still has a hard dark spot after their pedicure). The ladies were busy but polite, the location is the perfect size, not like the over sized mall rush me in rush me out nail shops. I don't live here anymore so maybe prices have gone up for nail salons everywhere. $23 for a basic. $3 for French tip. $5 for each additional service ( paraffin wax, sea salt, callus remover). This has been the WORST experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I hope this can help anyone else looking for a good nail salon and not waste their time and money coming here. I also hope the owner/manager or whoever is in charge of this place reads this so they can question themselves if this is really the way to treat any person, regardless if it's a customer or not. I want to start off by saying that for the most part, a new client will be back because of the customer service they received even if their service wasn't a perfection. If they were treated respectfully and the employees show that they care about the service you are paying for, a client will come back! This place is not the case, at least for me. I found this place through yelp and decided to give it a shot since it had good reviews. The lady on the phone was super sweet and sounded very happy to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. When I got to the place I was received by a man that I did not catch his name but remember him perfectly since he could not stop rolling his eyes for some reason. I had requested for a simple manicure and dip powder with a off white color. He seemed in a rush and annoyed but I figured he was just trying to get things done quick and I wanted to wait and see his work before criticizing. As soon as he saw the color I wanted, he started laughing and questioning me multiple times if that was really what I wanted. It wasn't just a comment, he questioned me so many times that even the girls next to me were staring trying to see what was going on. Once he got started I noticed that he went straight to using the powder. No manicure AT ALL! He didn't even file my nails, no cuticle removal. Absolutely nothing. He went straight to the powder and applied only ONE coat. During this process he kept hurling and pushing my other fingers as he was working on each nail. At one point I had my hand laying on his hand to avoid getting on his way and he literally said to me "keep your hands straight, don't touch me". This is beyond disrespectful. When this happened all I wanted was for him to finish so I could pay and leave that place. I was beyond embarrassed. Once he was done with his horrible work I turned around and there was one girl waiting for him. She seemed pretty young (about 16) and asked him if he had time to do a manicure for her. This guy seriously had no manners and asked her how much money she had on her. When she pulled out her $30, all he said he could do was paint them but she had to pay upfront. I can understand people can be very picky when it comes to nails, after all this is a service you're paying for. But regardless if this guy is so incompetent and lazy at his job, he has no right to treat any person like that. He can be the owner of this place and still doesn't give him the right to be so disrespectful to any girl. I would understand if this place had a policy for paying upfront, but they never asked me anything when I walked in and for some reason they rudely asked that young girl to pay. I wasn't going to leave a review for this place because I see it very unfair to give a review for a place based on the experience I had with one of their employees. I could easily go to another place. I've also read other reviews where other ppl there have been very nice and good at what they do but I just think is so wrong for people to think they have the right to act like this. Riverside nail salons are awful and this is one of them. My fill was $17, ended up paying $26 after all was said and done. They charge you for cutting your nails shorter and taking off gel with a fill plus my one nail simple simple design was $5. They also didn't bother to clean up my nails at all so I have acrylic stuck in the base of where my nail and finger meet. I won't be coming back. However she cut me,didn't massage my foot, pretty much 30 dollars to get my feet washed! The reason why I'm giving a two is because the first time I came here it was a good job, today I had this lady and she cut my toe so bad she bascially had to put quick stop which is for dogs when you accidently cut their quick and you can't stop the blood, than she goes on to do my finger nails and cuts me again after all thay they still charge me $40 for a basic manicure and the cheapest pedicure. I work around this area and wanted to get a quick set after work, so I came here, I was skeptical about the reviews I read but still came anyways (bad choice). She was very aggressive and cut me. She left my nails very uneven, and when it came to doing French tip is came out very bad, some spots look darker then others, the paint looks very textured, the oval part is wobbly, and she kept insisting I was done when it looked like she put the fresh acrylic on and didn't file it yet. I kept asking her to file, make even my nails, and to try and fix the parts that look wobbly especially paying $75 for this set. The other lady's from my point of view where very nice and I loved how they did their customers nails, for some reason my lady was very rude and kept insisting I'm the problem. I won't go here again. My daughter and myself came in for a pedicure and my daughter got her nails done before we went on vacation. To start they make you feel like you have to get gel and all the bells and whistles and if you don't they question you a millions times why you don't want it and how much better it is. Then my daughter came to me and said she thinks she is getting a fungus so I start taking off her polish and both feet on her big toes. So I start taking mine off and sure enough I have the same thing except my toe is swollen and throbbing! Now guess who gets to pay a visit to their doctor. I had my nails done by Rose. She was very nice and patient with doing my nails. I got the new SNS nail dipping powder in mocha with a matte finish on my natural nail. I prefer this over gel because it's sooo much healthier for my nails and does not chip ! I love that Rose really took her time and didn't skip any steps! I'm so happy with the end results. Normally I go to L3 nails since it's by my house but I feel sometimes that they rush and there is always a wait when I go. I noticed now that they even sometimes would skip steps! Too much upselling makes what is supposed to be a relaxing experience not so relaxing. I've been to this nail shop twice. The most recent time was today. Here's how the conversation went when I walked in. Me: I'd like a pedicure, please. Owner: Do you want a manicure too? Me: No. Just a pedicure. Owner: No nails? Me: *slightly annoyed* No I picked out my nail polish and went to sit in the chair. As soon as I sat down and said hello to the woman who was going to be doing my pedicure, she asked if I wanted a manicure. I was even more annoyed at this point. She handed me a list with the different packages they offer. I opted for the Natural package, which costs $40. Then she tells me they also do facials and tried to get me to do a facial while in the chair getting my pedicure done. No, I'm good, thanks. The massage I got was awesome; one of the best I've had. I told her that the massage felt good and she started talking to me about the lotion she was using and how they sell it in the shop. There goes my couple minutes of relaxation. I should have just stayed quiet. I want to like this place, I really do. The pedicure and massage were great, but being bothered to purchase more is extremely annoying. I have an infant son and hardly get alone time. When I go get a pedicure I just want to relax for a little while. I'll give them one more chance. If the same thing happens again, I'm going to take my business somewhere else. read more
