I haven't been F2O in years! It was always one of the best places for lunch. I was in the area for…read morework end of the day and decided to see if it was still good. F2O is F2O. I'm doing this review to highlight this phenomenal team. I walked in, was greeted immediately. The young lady at the register was super nice. They always have the best cookies. I couldn't decide which cookie to get. She recommended the oatmeal. I said I wanted a fresh one since she said, they just finished baking. I don't know if the guy the the brought them to me was the manager on duty or what, but he went to the back and brought out fresh cookie tray then let me choose which one I wanted. Wrapped it up and handed it to me. After I checked out, without me asking, I wasn't even thinking about it, the cashier automatically offered me a cup for water. I don't know if this is new or not. I don't remember them doing this back in the day, you had to ask, but that was nice. While waiting, I looked towards the kitchen and even the cook was nice, nodded and smiled at me, essentially acknowledging me me from where he was. I had a really nice experience here today even though it was quick. I really wish I could do something other than this review for this team to be recognized 2/24/26 4:30pm. Even the guy on his break was nice. We laughed and joked real quick. None of these employees seem to hate what they do and it shows. Even the guy who I believed to be the manager on duty, super attentive to everything going on in the restaurant and kept moving and assisting the cashier. They all had great dispositions and really made me want to support this location. Highly recommend this F2O. They all made my day. I got the usual tenders and garlic mash. However, the cashier let me know that they had hot version of the tenders, so I got the hot version for the first time. The mash was dry and did not taste fresh, but the strips were fresh and really good. They definitely are more flat/thin than I remember. I remember the ships being a lot more around/thick and full but they were fresh and I did enjoy it. I will go back another time.

I forgot what I ordered, but both the salad and the sandwich were so good! First time here- cute…read morelittle spot. The cashier was really nice too. Food and drinks are a bit on the pricey side to me. Overall nice place. They have a patio too.

Tenya Japanese Eatery is one of those hidden gems you'd easily miss if you weren't looking for it…read more Located on N. Decatur Rd. at a very busy intersection, it sits tucked into a tiny shopping center, blink and you will drive right past it. Parking is limited, and you can immediately tell the small lot fills up fast, especially during peak hours. I stumbled upon Tenya while in town on a Tuesday, scrolling Yelp in search of a solid lunch spot, and I'm glad I did. This is a family-owned Japanese eatery that specializes in comfort food, and according to their website, everything is made from scratch, which absolutely shows in the quality. I placed my order online and picked it up with ease. I ordered the Shrimp Saku Saku appetizer along with a fresh garden Tenya salad. The shrimp were excellent, perfectly crispy with a flavorful panko coating that didn't feel heavy or greasy. The salad was impressively fresh and came with their house-made ginger dressing, which paired beautifully with the crisp greens and added just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy, with a decent amount of seating for its size. The customer service was warm and welcoming; the lady at the counter greeted me kindly and had my order ready shortly after I arrived, making the pickup process smooth and pleasant. A nice bonus is the selection of packaged Japanese snacks and drinks available at the counter, always a fun touch and something you don't see everywhere. Next time, I plan to dine in and explore more of the menu, along with sampling some of those snacks and drinks. Tenya is a great example of simple, thoughtfully prepared food done right. I'll definitely be back.

The food was fresh though just basically tasteless. One of them was shrimp which was fried, breaded and put in the soup. It's like they really don't know how to prepare authentic ramen.

Wow! This restaurant offers a wide range of scrumptious Asian foods…read more The menu is expansive and features Vietnamese, Thai and other Southeast Asian dishes. We stopped in as a group of three. All of us tried variants of Pho --- all excellent. We also tried fresh Spring and Fried rolls --- very tasty. This is first Vietnamese restaurant I've ever visited that does not skimp on the slices of fresh beef in Pho. All the ingredients are remarkably fresh and tasty. If you visit in the winter months and get cold easily, sit in the booths. During our visit, overhead air ducts were pushing out cold air on the chairs and tables situated in the center of the restaurant and it became uncomfortable for us after sitting for more than 30 minutes. Go and enjoy. You won't be disappointed. The food here is excellent. I wish this place was near our home!

I got the nem nuong rolls and a small pho. The food came out fairly quickly. The rolls were really thick but honestly a little too much vermicelli and the pork wasn't very flavorful. The pho was decent but definitely not a lot of beef balls in it and the broth was on the sweeter side. We were never checked up on during our whole dining experience. So the service was lacking in my opinion. Thought the pho was decent but definitely better options out there.

Blew Me Away Everything Was a Hit…read more This place absolutely blew me away. The atmosphere was amazing perfect dinner hangout or date spot. Great vibe without trying too hard. The food? Incredible across the board. I'm not even a big fish guy, but I got the fish and chips and loved it. That alone says a lot. Spinach dip loved it. Fish tacos loved them. Dessert loved it. Beer loved it. There's a ton of variety on the menu, and everything we tried delivered. That kind of consistency is rare. Service was over-the-top good. Attentive, friendly, and added to the whole experience. Price felt exactly right for a date night spot not cheap, but definitely worth it for the quality. Couldn't be happier with this one. I'll absolutely be back. Overall: Easy 5/5 no hesitation.

We had been in this part of Decatur many times and I never heard of it. We took the quick 5 minute ride over and I realized we had passed it many times. I think it had a different name last I noticed. As we approached I noticed the nice sized parking lot. A quick estimate, it could hold about 40 - 50 cars. I quickly found an open spot and walked over to the entrance. We entered and I could see the host walking toward us. He greeted us warmly, we let him know we were a party of 2 and preferred to sit outside. He informed us we could head out there and pick our own seat. We walked through the dark interior and headed outside using the side door. We found a table at the end of the patio near the front of the restaurant. There was plenty of outside seating on their patio and many of the tables were covered or had an umbrella. It was a little cooler than I expected so I ran back over to the car to pick up my jacket. I returned to the table and our friendly server came by and asked if we were ready to order. We were happy to see they had an extensive beer menu and I chose the Hi-Pitch Mosaic IPA from Hi-Wire brewing and Wifey ordered the Harp Lager. For food, we kept it simple and decided to share the Pork Nachos appetizer. Our waters came out next, and then the beers came out soon after. As we were hanging around and enjoying the patio I noticed the place was very dog friendly. The Pork Nachos arrived and were excellent. It was not a huge portion, but the perfect size for what we were looking for. The chips were crispy and the pulled pork was seasoned well. All the ingredients worked well together. We would definitely recommend the nachos if you visit Wheelhouse. Overall, this was a very good experience during our 1st visit here and we will definitely return when in the area.
