Came in little after lunch time on a holiday weekend. Waited 25 min. But had so many open tables? Maybe for bigger groups? Medium level pop music playing. Little bit dim with red-ish lights and clear lights We're very familiar with Chinese food and have eaten Mexican before. Suggestions from waiter were too typical American: chips and salsa? Really? For a fusion place? We ordered: empanadas de Atun, quail egg Sui Mai, Quesabirria tacos, 1 nopales y queso taco, mango sticky rice. empanadas de Atun- masa was done very well, but didn't get much tuna. Quali egg- too salty, but prepared well. Quesabirria- best dish of them all. Enough meat and stuffing, Nopales taco was nice- almost mistook the cheese for some sort of meat, really heavy. Cactus was nice. Mango sticky rice was surprising as there really is no sticky rice. Not much mango either. Mango a little unripe. Overall, didn't feel like the food was fused. More like a restaurant that serves Chinese and Mexican food. I read thru the 2 suggested food groupings and they didn't suit me. I felt the suggestions were waayyy too Americanized for my taste. Maybe menu designed more for visitors from places like Idaho, Cleveland? Overall, will not be back. Too many places in Vegas to try. I'm being picky about the flavors, but overall the quality, safety, plating we're all done well.

This place is so good!! The nopales tacos were my favorite. I stayed at the Cosmopolitan for a conference and went there 3times during my stay The first night we had the camarones al mojo de ajo negro, pork ribs and Dan Dan Mian. The 2nd day I just ordered 3 nopales tacos to go. They were still fresh and not soggy when I got back to the room. 3rd time I tried the sopes de chorizo con papa (they might seem tiny but they are filling and so damn delicious) and of course I had a few nopales tacos, too. I was able to buy some of their tortillas and they held pretty well during the flight. I dont remember the name of our first bartender but he was really friendly. The 3rd time I was helped by Tina who was also very friendly and attentive and she made me an

Hearing about raving reviews of the Food Court at the Cosmopolitan, we can across China Poblano, which was a Chinese/ Mexican cuisine fusion. The place was clean and nicely decorated; friendly service. Ordered the Quesabirria, When Pigs fly Pork Steamed buns, Kao Lao Lao, and topped our meal with the Mango Sticky Rice Dessert. Everything was made fresh on the spot, food was tasty. The Mango Sticky Rice dessert was a surprise! I was expecting the traditional sticky rice and mango, but love their concept of rice ice cream, fresh mangos and rice Krispies. It was delicious! Will definitely come back to try other dishes. Highly recommend if ever in Vegas!

Salsa and chips

This location came as a recommendation from a friend. The chef is a James Beard winning chef so I knew it would be worth it. We ordered chips and salsa which was not complimentary. $6 for it but it was so good and so were the chips which seemed homemade. My daughter ordered dumplings which didn't look like enough but I ordered the caldo with the chipotle on the side. Good thing cause it was spicy. It was hearty. Chicken, garbanzo beans, carrots, sliced avocado on top, it was delicious. Which it came with bread or a tortilla but it was great. Too much for me so I shared with my daughter. We ordered the mango sticky rice for dessert. This is where I was disappointed but didn't prompt me to leave a bad review. I was expecting rice, there was none. Mango was very little, a bit of mango sauce and a whole lot of whipped cream on top with toasted Rice Krispies (not the rice I was expecting) for a whopping $12 for whipped cream, a few tiny mango pieces and sauce. Don't order it you'll be disappointed. There were other dessert options. It was cool inside. Decorations were nice and was a great place for dinner overall.

Papa Taco - veggie taco. Not bad.

This restaurant is located inside the Cosmopolitan hotel, opposite the Chandelier bar on the top level. It's a combination of Asian and Mexican cuisine. We went there for lunch and after a wait of 20 minutes, were let in. The food is ok. Not a lot of vegetarian options I felt. - The chips and guacamole were good. - Veggie Fried Rice was good. - Papas (veggie taco) was a bit bland for me. I only ordered one. The potato didn't have any seasoning. Could have been better. Definitely worth trying it out. The ambiance and vibe is very cool. There is another Mexican restaurant at the hotel called Amaya, which is great.

Great meal. My fried rice with 20 vegetables (no egg) was delicious. Added salt and soy sauce to make even more flavorful. Good service and ambiance. Easy to get table.

My favorite dish. Fried buns dipped in condensed milk.

We had lunch here recently on Mother's Day weekend. It's very convenient since we stayed at Cosmopolitan. We had reservations for 4 adults and 2 kids at 11:30am and were seated about 10 minutes after checked in. The menu was simple however enough variety for our group. We ordered mixed items including Mexican and Chinese dishes. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Even the kids liked finished their food. Service was great. Will definitely be back next time we in town.

The place was popping for a Sunday night. Granted, it was mainly due to the fact that Wrestlemania was in town and so were a lot of attendees. We were seated rather quickly (only 6 of the 10 showed up) and since it was busy, we ended up sectioning off our long table so we could share with another party. I didn't know what to expect other than Chinese and Mexican fusion. The backbar honestly looked inviting, but we decided to forgo drinks since we were eating prior to an event--Gronk Beach at Marquee. For food, it was family style and we ended up getting personal options and shared ones also. Chips and salsa, with a queso option added on, quesabirria tacos, barbacoa, papa, and Ceviche con Citricos (citrus Ceviche with jicama and seabass). I loved that the menu had Chinese and Mexican food options since they had tons of options to choose from on both sides. Honestly, the portions were super tiny/tapas style, but presentation, taste, and flavor were delicious! The food came out relatively quickly and I actually enjoyed myself. I just wish the portions were a bit larger. The atmosphere was pretty lively (decor and ambiance), and staff was very attentive with the drinks and any needs we had. I'd consider returning to this spot, but note that the small plates and portions are as advertised.

Interesting restaurant with a cool vibe. The menu features Chinese and Mexican cuisine. I tried a Chinese noodle dish. The presentation of the meal was great and I enjoyed the combination of different flavors. If a dish is labeled as spicy, expect it to be pretty spicy. The waiters were very attentive.

Street food vibe

Where Two Street Food Cultures Collide José Andrés does it again. China Poblano is one of those rare concepts that shouldn't work on paper but absolutely does; a collision of Chinese and Mexican street food under one roof, and somehow it feels completely natural. The ambiance nails it too: think bustling food market energy, equal parts Mexican lonchería and Chinese night market The menu itself is an experience, ust reading it is enough to make you hungry. We dove in headfirst. The Young Coconut Ceviche (we added shrimp) was a revelation. Fresh coconut water and citrus juices bring a brightness that makes a classic ceviche feel almost... lighter? Even the radishes were exceptional, and the teardrop peppers layered in just the right heat. Pro tip: eat this with their chile powder-seasoned chips and a few drops of the chile oil and habanero sauce the attentive staff brings to your table. The star of the meal was the Taco de Nopales y Queso, blue corn tortilla, seared queso fresco, salt-cured cactus, and toasted pumpkin seeds on top for an incredible crunch. Simple concept, flawless execution. It actually edged out the Pulpo a la Parrilla taco, which, as someone who loves octopus, I didn't expect to say. The octopus was good, just not life-changing by comparison. We closed with their signature dessert: a dark chocolate shell molded as a Xi'an warrior, filled with milk chocolate mousse, ginger ice cream, and caramelized bananas. It's a little somber, laying the warrior down on the plate and cracking him open feels like a tiny ceremony. My advice: don't eat the components separately, mix everything together. On their own, the elements feel a bit disconnected; combined, the flavors work better. Only gripe? The value. $100 for two with no alcohol is a stretch for portions this size. Worth experiencing, but go in with that expectation set.

Shumai

Service was great. Our server was on top of it. She was friendly and attentive. If graded on service alone she gets a 5. She was also managing all the pickup orders and she kept the vibes calm even though she was doing a lot. Food was okay. Everything was so overly salty especially the oxtail soup. Very disappointing. Shumai was nothing special. Could get this better at a hole in the wall for 1/4 of the price. Everything was expensive because it's on the strip. They did have 2 hot sauces they gave us that almost redeemed it all. We just slathered the sauce on the food. Probably would not come back here. Happy eating. We didn't try any of the Hispanic food just Asian side of things.

Happy Hour menu looking gooooood. Very good prices
Crystal C.

I was a lone traveler on a weekday evening staying at the Cosmopolitan and I saw their Happy Hour menu on my way out to the bridge, the menu looked great with very good prices, and so decided to come back to hotel on time for HH. Happy Hour is only in bar area and they have two wide half-circle shaped bar area right by the entrance. One bar is more of Mexican vibe and the other one was open kitchen concept of Chinese dumpling bar. I was seated right away on the Chinese dumpling kitchen side and was greeted and served promptly. I'm always so impressed by common sense and quick thinking of Las Vegas strip hotel bar staff, it must be a competitive hospitality market here and they select best of the best. The gal who served me made sure I'm okay with some spices and beer choices that were under HH. I had Corona Premier ($7) and a Frijoles Taco ($5) and Chicken Lettuce boats ($7) with crispy potato shreds on top. The food was phenomenal and with this price I would definitely come back. The servers also checked on me to make sure I didnt need anything else and I was having fun even dining alone, just from the crowd at the bar and cool servers chatting with me. All customers were in great mood, that tells me a lot about the quality here. I highly recommend this place, the Chinese Mexican cuisine in one place, and they keep the menus simple and authentic, no fusion stuff. Each menu is true to their own cuisine.

This was nice too, a bean dish.
Buk O.

Food was decent. Nice restaurant, and friendly staff. I'm only giving 4/5 because I expected each dish to be better, I can't describe it but I have had better, although this came highly recommended.

However, it was $20, and I still felt like I needed another burrito afterward. The carne asada nachos looked were made with a mix of ground beef and carne asada instead of just carne asada. The most disappointing item was the $15 bean and cheese burrito. I included a photo in this review because it was mostly tortilla, and the cheese wasn't even melted. As for the churros, we originally ordered regular churros, but they told us they didn't have plain churros available on a Friday night, so we were pushed into getting the strawberry ones instead. Despite being strawberry flavored, they were drenched in cinnamon and sugar. They were awful.

This is a place that you need to make reservations and come nicely dressed. No flip flops, no shorts for men, no baseball caps. We ordered a Matcha Martini (can't even describe how good it was). For food we had the Crispy Calamari and Chicken Enchiladas. Perfect for sharing, delicate and it is a explosion of flavors in your mouth. Service is so outstanding, Mariah and Jesus were our servers. You get assigned two servers even being a party of two. At the end of our dining experience the Chef sent us a Dairy Free, Gluten free and Vegan dessert on the house to celebrate oour special day. It was such the perfect touch to end our dining experience. It was our first time here, we will definitely come back and reserve for a later time since the only thing we missed were the performers because they show up later at night.
