We wanted to steer clear of the rain, so we stepped in for an appetizer and drink. We were greeted immediately, and since they had open seating, we sat at a table. They have an extended area with a window viewing, great for large parties or scenic seating. The staff was very attentive. The restraunt was very clean and seemed to have a good steady customer crowd. The complimentary bread rolls were warm and doughy, perfect with the spreadable bread. The menu has quite the selection and at a very affordable price. It was hard to choose, to the point where our waiter had to give us more time twice! In the end, we opted to try the stromboli filled with mushrooms, pepperoni sausage, and mozzarella with marinara on the side. It was perfect, not overly breaded, easy to eat, and the marinara wasn't overly acidic! Thankfully, we decided to share because it was pretty large. We noticed many of the plates walking by came in large portions so this is as an FYI if you'd like to go family style. It's been awhile since I've been here and it was a pizza I picked up for take out! This is a nice restaurant with patio seating. My husband and I decided to come here for lunch during the week. We opened the door to see all the other people in line to order their food. I believe that's how they do their lunchtime. I ordered a slice of all meat pizza with a side salad and rolls and my husband ordered a slice of Margherita pizza and a pepperoni roll. After we received our food we seated ourselves at a table. Great little italian spot next to the canals. Great vibes and location. Really great date spot. We shared a pizza and they let us do half and half with different flavors. Would definitely come back. Just moved to Dallas the last two years and I cannot find a pizzaria that comes close to NJ/NY pizzas. A buddy from NJ recommended this location. Who would had thought they have a section of the restaurant to look like a typical pizzaria in NY. The first time I've tried this, the wife surprised me with a pepperoni and mushroom pizza that she picked up while out. It was good. We then eventually came to the place to try it out at the restaurant and the pizza still didn't disappoint. Service was good. Food came out fast. Good service, nice ambiance in terms of decor and design, food was okay. Spaghetti better than the Chief of Staff's pizza but do note that we're originally from Chicago. High pizza standards. Like all area restaurants, it seemed a little overpriced for the quality but the main problem I had was we were eating on the nice outdoor patio and seated not that near a small group of loud, foul-mouthed not that young women who were too intoxicated and ill-mannered to be allowed to misbehave so long. My son ordered their chicken fettuccine Alfredo and said it was some of the best he's ever had...not easy compliment from a teenager. I had a side Caesar and their chicken, spinach and mushroom Stromboli and it was delicious. They have great outdoor seating and a decent size indoor area with a bar and lots of tvs. It's a loud and welcoming place. Service is very friendly. Appetizers took a bit to come but the dinner items came super fast. Used to go to this place quite often but hadn't been back in about a year. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if they changed management or what but the food quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Service was good and everyone was kind. We used to love the bread basket they would bring out as the bread would be fresh and hot and unfortunately, the bread this time was different and quite stale and dry. My mom and I have always enjoyed the Caesar salads, but they no longer have homemade croutons on the salads. Went here for lunch with my family on a Saturday as they were heading through DFW on their way back home. Loved that they had a patio for their doggies to hang out with us while we ate! The food was delicious, from the pasta, to a salad, to a very large sandwich, everything was really tasty. I do wish they would have brought rolls or something to our table, and at one point we had to go inside to ask for refills because our waiter never came back to check on us, hence the loss of a star. If they can work on that service and make sure they are being attentive to those on the patio (we weren't alone, either, there were quite a few tables full of folks out there, all of which were being neglected) I can raise this up to 5 stars.
