absolutely love this place. my friend group and i did a mozzarella making class for my friends birthday and it was such a fun time! All the staff and the owners are awesome and very attentive. After the class we sat down and ate a 5 course Italian meal that was delicious and we had a lot of leftovers for the rest of the week! Food was declicious and its also a BYOB spot which is greate

They have great lunch specials, delicious food, food was cooked on the spot so very fresh, and I love supporting the locals! Very friendly and family-based staff which makes it great.

Cannot say enough great things about Italian Kitchen! The food is amazing, the staff is top notch and the owner and staff go above and beyond to accommodate and make you feel welcome. 20 of us just did a mozzarella making 4 course dinner ladies night experience there and wow! We got to enjoy our fresh made mozzarella with charcuterie and other delicacies as our appetizer, then we feasted on delicious salads, pastas, entrees and to die for zeppole with Nutella. Everything was just perfect and made for a great night! Run, don't walk to this hidden gem!

Your classic italian deli. The inside has seating but its not much of a "sit-down" restaurant. The paninis and rice balls are especially amazing. They have a ton of assorted bottles/canned drinks as well as various desserts. Just be aware when you call ahead, I have found that they underestimate the time it takes before it can be picked up but a favorite spot nonetheless

I'm not done. It was good thus far, delicious, got, quality - just the bloody BOMB!!!!!! To be continued.... We have been living for their pizza. They do deliver!

Godson Sandwich (substituted w/ a wrap and added broccoli rabe)

This place hit the spot! For just under 8 bucks I had the most delicious wrap I think I've ever had ("the godson" sandwich but substituted bread w a wrap and added broccoli rabe. This place is a great go-to, my only suggestion would be not to order through Yelp and just call ahead. I ordered via the Yelp app and they didn't confirm it until I came to pick up the order about 40 minutes later. Still great food, great selection, and great service!

Just tried to eat a bowl of penne bolognese. They should call it over cooked pasta swimming in grease. Terrible.

Service was very quick and friendly, and there was a diner-like ambiance that was casual and inviting. We tried three pies: clam, fresh tomato (summer special), and hot pepperoni. The clam pizza had great garlicky, lemony flavor, but some of the clams were too chewy for my liking. The fresh tomato pie was my favorite, as it was light and had great basil and garlic flavor. The hot pepperoni and peppers pie was also good, packing more of a spicy punch than expected, but overall very flavorful. The crust of all three of these pies was fantastic, light and crispy, yet still substantial.

We ordered one pizza with one topping and waited quite a while. A table seated next to us arrived after us, ordered four pizzas and received all their food before we got ours. I asked our waiter if there was a reason the table got 4 pizza's before our 1 pizza and his initial response was simply, "No reason." When I questioned it further, he said it depended on when the tickets were received, which didn't make much sense since they were seated after us. I understand delays happen, but a kind explanation or apology would have gone a long way. Instead, the response felt dismissive. I tried to send this feedback through the restaurant's website first, but it kept giving me an error from their website, so I'm posting it here instead in the hopes that management sees it and can address whatever caused the delay and help prevent the same experience for future customers.

We live nearer the Trumbull location but we were celebrating a birthday and the birthday girl loves her mozz sticks. The bread came out and was good. A few minutes later we reminded our waiter that we didn't get the mozzarella. He said it'll be a few more minutes but we are sure he never ordered them at all. So we waited again and they never came. When our entrees arrived we let the waiter know the appetizer never arrived and- and this is the reason for my review- he just looked at us, like we were annoying, mumbled, but said absolutely nothing to us and walked away! What the.. a simple apology or acknowledgement would have gone a long way. We did order them TWICE. He really didn't give a crap, which is so very odd. This waiter is the only thing that stopped us from giving a great review. He was inattentive, never smiled or expressed any sort of personality and really didn't care if we were there or not. We could see that this was not the case with another waiter who actually did check on us, clear plates etc. but he was not our waiter. I think he noticed our poor service. Our waiter had his back to us after serving our dessert, for a very long time. I could see over his shoulder that he was playing on his phone. It looked like he was talking to chat gpt actually. We eventually had to ask for the check. We had also asked what kind of cola and he told us Coca Cola products while actually serving us obviously Pepsi products. Again not the hugest deal but all these things added up to terrible service. I really hate Diet Pepsi. It's far sweeter than Diet Coke. Un drinkable and a waste of money. We did enjoy the food though. It was very good and the reason for the stars. Worth going back for? Not really when Luigi's is right next door. ,

As someone who hates typical Connecticut pizza and firmly believes that New York pizza is in a league of its own, I was genuinely shocked -- and impressed -- to find pizza here that rivals (and in some cases surpasses) what I used to get in the city. It's just that good. I've been ordering from this place since it was The Pizza Post, and the quality hasn't just remained consistent -- it's actually gotten better over time. The management, owner, chef, and even the delivery driver are all incredibly professional and courteous. It's clear they take pride in their product and in their service. Delivery is always lightning fast, and there's never a delivery fee -- which in this day and age is almost unheard of. Another huge plus? The gluten-free pizza I order for my wife isn't some frozen, off-the-shelf crust like most places. It's made in-house, and you can taste the difference. She loves it, and honestly, I've stolen a few slices and couldn't even tell it was gluten free. The ambience is exactly what you'd want from a great local spot -- a classic, no-frills mom-and-pop pizza joint where the focus is on the food and the community. If you're on the fence or stuck ordering from the same old mediocre spots, do yourself a favor and give The Post a shot. It's not just good for Connecticut -- it's just plain great.

What I love about the pizza is you get just the right amount of rosemary hint when eating the pizza which makes it taste that much better. In addition, there lunch menu is very affordable which offers sandwiches for 7.50 and two slices of pizza with a can of soda for 7.50. Furthermore, you get a ticket stamper and the tenth time you order pizza, you get a free large pizza. Wow!! That's a great way to keep people coming back!! The inside was nice, cozy and somewhat trendy. I can definitely see some pictures getting taken by the light up sign on the wall. The customer service was great and the owner was very gracious.

It was topped with shredded mozzarella, ricotta, caramelized onions, truffle oil, and he added sausage. I enjoyed the truffle flavor.. it wasn't overpowering and everything worked well together. The pizza was flavorful, and I can see why it's a popular choice. That said, as a Bronx native, I wouldn't call this New York style pizza, it's not the kind I grew up with. The crust was nice and thin, but toward the center of the pie it got a little soggy. I just wish the crispiness stayed more consistent from edge to center. The restaurant itself has a small takeout area when you first walk in, but through the double doors there's a full dining room with a bar, so it's larger than it initially appears. While we only tried the pizza this visit, after looking at photos of the menu on Yelp, id say their dinner dishes look delicious. I'd definitely come back and try their chicken and pasta!
