Truly stellar omakase. Certainly not cheap, but also not the highest end omakase in NYC. The price does strongly match the value, every single piece was stellar, the service was so personalized and beautifully delivered, and each piece actually had thought put into how it was prepared. The standout dish for me was the ikura and uni don, however every piece really did shine including the handroll at the end. I was surprised to not get any eel at all, but that isn't a complaint. The Otoro wasn't my favorite Otoro I've ever had, but the wagyu was stellar, and doubling down with a second piece of uni was actually fantastic! Sake selection is great as is the wine selection, though neither of those is cheap. The vibes fit the space perfectly, we will certainly be coming back!

Simply the best omakase experience in New York (and well beyond). Masa Ito is a true master and he simply creates memorable meals. The service and atmosphere are incredible as well. This is why we keep coming back for years.

Ito was delicious. Everything was melty, sweet and balanced! I'll definitely be coming back. The ambience was more relaxed not like you're super stiff quiet sushi bar. Service was easygoing and attentive.

The sushi wasn't bad but I couldn't say it stood out above the rest - it's tough competition in the city! All the pieces were pretty decent but nothing was that memorable. I was sadly disappointed in the sake pairing. It was around $250pp yet somehow I didn't like a single one of their sakes, which almost never happens. Not sure I will return given the price tag.

From someone that has went to tons of high and low end omakases. This place is not worth it at all. The ambiance was amazing and the environment felt really welcoming. Chef and Service was a 10/10 On the other hand. The sushi was definitely frozen and not fresh. The quality for a $295 per person omakase was not there at all. I barely ate anything and I got so full towards 3/4 of the whole course. They drench each piece with tons of sauce which ruins the authentic flavor of the fish and they do that to get rid of the frozen fish taste. I'm disappointed because i took my mother here for her bday.

Delicious meal and can't wait to return. This is probably one of the top omakase spot in my opinion. The fish is so fresh and generously sized. You'll definitely leave feeling full. Service was excellent, all the staffs were so attentive and friendly. They replaced my finger napkin as soon as it was stained with soy sauce. Highly recommend a reservation as it was fully booked when I was there for dinner.

Wonderful meal! Attention to detail and food quality were exemplary. Special dinner.

Came here for a graduation dinner after hearing about their opening and enjoyed the meal! Half the parties arrived late so the timing was a bit off, but it didn't really affect us too much. Each piece was a generous size and I was definitely full by the end of the meal. The chefs interacted with us throughout and made sure the pieces were to our liking. Mostly had traditional pieces you'd normally see and we got add-ons as well that were suggested. It was definitely more lively and chatty compared to other omakases I've been to but overall a great experience.

This was the perfect experience for my husbands birthday! We are big fans of omakase and wanted to try ITO. We were impressed with the service and the attention to detail. We ordered tea and there was never a moment my cup was less than half full. The food was fantastic, we definitely left full. Everything was so fresh and I loved watching the chefs put it all together. One thing to note, this place has customers who are in larger groups. It got quite loud and other people's eating pace will impact your pace. Our meal took the full two hours because the group next to us took a while to eat between their conversations. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion!

Followed the former sushi chefs', Kevin & Masa, from Sushi Zo to here at their own new establishment. Every dish/piece was delicious along the journey. Some stand out pieces of the night - Yellowjack, White Shrimp, Ocean Trout, Scallop, Otoro, Uni, Wagyu, Maguro. Miso Soup was little too salty for me. Love the texture of the tamago, I would like it a bit sweeter though. Dessert was a wow and interesting creation but a bit heavy as the ending after a big meal. Exclusive drink menu and delicious cocktails! Hi my new favorite omakase spot in NYC!

Small intimate Omakasa joint in Tribeca Kevin the chef and owner was amazing everything melts in your mouth but be prepared to get a second mortgage on your house because dinner for 2+ sake was $1071 including tip.

Absolutely stunning, each dish was 100% and I was stuffed by the end of the meal. Perfect combo of delicious food, impeccable service, and hip hop music. They are so generous with their portions and definitely worth the price! Most importantly, I like how they put their own unique spin on the food. Highlights include: - Ikura + Uni + caviar: I was drooling from all the Ikura they put in the bowl... - Hirame: with shiso flowers and apple vinegar jelly, what a great combo - Nodoguro: always one of my faves, seared to perfection - Seared otoro: melts in your mouth Red miso and white chocolate dessert with popcorn bits I would note the rice texture is a bit different from other spots and is almost a bit creamy - still deciding how I feel about it but definitely unique! Thank you to Chef Chen for a delicious meal - leaving fat and happy with ikura bouncing in my belly...

The chefs from Sushi Zo West Village are now behind the (massive) sushi counter of Ito. Although this omakase restaurant is the new kid on the block, you wouldn't know it. They clearly know what they're doing, and dinner is a fantastic experience that I highly recommend to anyone for their next omakase. For omakase, I'm looking for a place that I'd love to return to again and again (well, I guess this applies for all restaurants but at this price point it's more high stakes!). Of course the sushi has to be top quality, but the ambiance and the style make the whole package. Ito covers all the bases of a good dining experience: high-quality food, attentive staff, good eating pace, variety, generous portions and little luxuries. When I tried other omakase restaurants, there were always some disappointing pieces (a little chewy or veiny, a little fishy). What is distinct about my meals with Chef Kevin and Chef Masa is that I never had a bad piece. Every bite is top-quality, and that says a lot about the chef's skill. You still get the luxury pieces of otoro, hokkaido uni, wagyu, truffles, caviar - but you will also enjoy every piece in between. A few standouts to me are the baby shrimp (sweeter and more delicate than regular shrimp), the ikura (each pearl is perfect!) and striped jack mackerel (delicate and beautifully presented!). Ambiance: The counter is huge and honestly pretty impressive, giving you plenty of space so you aren't awkwardly eavesdropping on your neighbor's conversation. It's classy and modern with a relaxed atmosphere. Service: Really attentive, and the chefs make it the best experience! Omakase is an intimate experience, so it's such a bonus when the chefs are friendly.

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.

I enjoyed most of the pieces but I will say I don't like their amaebi or uni at all. I'm not sure what kind of uni is used here but it's the type with a very strong mineral flavor & aftertaste that I don't find enjoyable. There was nothing on that menu that let us down. We started with two Calpico sodas, which are always a solid choice. My wife had the Omu Soba and loved it. I went with the Tonkatsu Ramen and that dish was everything. Rich, satisfying, the kind of bowl you do not want to end. We also shared the Kalbi, which are Korean short ribs, and they were outstanding. All three of us were on the same page about those. My son added two salmon tacos to the mix. He enjoyed them but said they did not hit quite as hard as his Mew Special Roll, which was clearly the standout of his night. It features raw tuna and what I believe is a combination of salmon and seared salmon on top. Either way, that sear flavor is really good. Worth trying if you get the chance. The space was lively and busy, which gave it a great energy. We ended up at a long communal table with another couple, but it never felt cramped or uncomfortable. At the time, I thought that seemed fair enough, but looking back, I'm not so sure. For what was left in the bowl, $30 still felt overpriced. That said, there are still quite a few items on the menu that caught my eye and that I'd like to try. I'm going to chalk this one up to ordering the wrong dish rather than writing the place off completely. One thing that did leave a bad impression, though, was the interaction at the end of the meal. The girl who brought our check wasn't exactly rude, but she seemed visibly annoyed when we asked about using Apple Pay but ended up putting the charge on my card and it felt like asking her to bring over the Apple Pay machine was somehow inconveniencing her. She also didn't bother asking whether I wanted my receipt. Maybe none of it was intentional, but her overall demeanor came across that way and left us ending the meal with a bad taste in our mouths.
