To say we are unbelievably disappointed is an understatement!!! This bakery is a joke! A bakery that doesn't bake its products?? I'm very confused but indeed that seems to be what we have here. Biggest complaint hands down is that the prices are just unreal! Barely anything has prices on it and when I went to go pay I think I was in the state of shock! The quality of what they sell there is not good and overall I'm really questioning how this place even stays in business. My total was over $70 for a few small packages of cookies, a streusel, and a few dog cookies. I rarely leave reviews but I felt like I really needed too. Also, neither of the ladies working there were very friendly and helpful in fact I got scolded for touching a small stuffed rabbit toy! We should have walked right out but we were suckers! Wow! What a fool I was not to read the reviews. All accurate. The food looks unsafe to eat, the lady is either senile or just rude or both. I requested an Italian soda, she said there is nothing sparkly there. I saw blackberry lemonade on the menu and ordered that instead. I watched as this woman took a styrofoam cup, shakily filled it with ice, then dumped some minute made powder in the bottom, took an open water bottle sitting on the counter, poured some water in, and then added some blackberry syrup. She said I "need to shake it because all the flavor is on the bottom." I paid $6 for what appears to be backwash and pantry leftovers. read more

Bought a Milk Boy Swiss white chocolate with bourbon vanilla candy bar at a cost of $12. I later checked the same bar at Sprouts and it costs $4.99. When I got it home, the back of the candy bar said its sell by date was March of 2024. The owner sold it to me on the last day of June. Also was sold a stale cupcake. I will not be back. read more

The service was not the friendliest during our visit, but I wanted to support this local business, so I ended up purchasing a bag of granola. The granola ended up being nothing too special. Great fresh bread, sliced for sandwiches, as well as an assortment of cookies, croissants and baked goods to put anyone in a sugar coma. Also one of the better places to get coffee in town, or tea for that matter, or even hot chocolate. The Escargot pastry was really good, and no snails died in its manufacture. read more

Went to get a pie which was $40. Got home and there was a fly in the box flying around on the pie. When I called the shop, Barbara said it was fine since it was a "small fly". If you prefer your pies without flies, don't go here. Would not recommend ever again to anyone. read more

At least once a week I take my 80 year old mom out for lunch , shopping and coffee . My mom asked if we could try a local place that she has been wanting to try for coffee . When we arrived at 2:05pm the parking lot looked empty so I checked what time they closed . The hours said closed Monday . Tuesday and Wednesday open until 4pm and the rest of the week open until 7 . When we went inside the place was empty and quiet with one lady sitting at a table doing some work for the store . They had about 5 or 6 other tables but they were covered with stuff that the lady was working on . We said Hello and asked if we would be able to sit at one of the tables . She replied " There is a table outside " . I said "The table is in the sun and my mom would prefer to sit inside if we could " . She said " How long are you going to sit " I said " I don't know we just want to sit and have a coffee " . She Said " You know we close early today " . I said " the sign says your open until 4 it's 2:05 ! " . She relunctantly cleared a table and went behind the counter and said "what do you want " , "do you want a hot coffee or a cold brew " . I said "I think my mom wants an iced latte" , she said "so a cold brew " . At this point I said to the lady "are we bothering you by being here " . She says "no" and proceeds to tell us that she just wanted to make sure we weren't staying awhile because people have done that . My mom then asked what flavor latte she can make , she answered "butterscotch" . My mom asked what other flavors she had and she didn't answer so my mom said just make a vanilla . She made her a vanilla latte by heating up the milk in the microwave . I asked her name she said "Susie" the sad part is I think she's the owner . We paid and left. We sat at the table outside since at this point we were not feeling very welcome inside anymore . On our way out she sarcastically said " bye ladies" , we didn't answer and she mumbled something about how it works both ways ! We tried to support local but she must be doing well enough that she feels customer service doesn't matter. Next time i will stick to Starbucks ! Nice selection. Picked up a loaf of sourdough and apricot/walnut. The lady was sitting at a table and was friendly and ensured I understood they bread needed to be kept in the fridge or freezer. The girl who took my money wasn't wearing a mask, but washed her hands just before she helped me, which I appreciated. Walking around cave creek and had friend who wanted something sweet. I walked there to get something for her as she has a really bad spine. Told the rude lady behind the counter that I had a friend who wanted a sweet and was going to send her photos. Took two picture, was looking at the bread because I intended to buy one. Got a text, looked at my phone and she yells "excuse me! We can't have you taking photos of everything". We were looking for a bakery stop after a nice morning hike. Thought this would fit the bill. First impressions were that there was a lot of tasty looking items here. But after a couple of questions that the owner did not answer in a straightforward way, I felt like we were imposing. My wife had a pain au chocolat which she said was delicious. After a weird run around about cheese cake (there weren't labels on the product in one case, so I had questions), including some comment about 'you just walked by the Black Forest (I think) cakes there', I finally got my cheesecake. It was good. Our granddaughter asked for a pretzel which was warmed in the microwave. The owner confirmed that we were eating it here. We ate outside and could tell our granddaughter wasn't happy with the pretzel. I tried it and it was the driest pretzel I've had. We went back inside to get her something else and I commented that the pretzel was very dry. The owner said 'that's the way Bavarian pretzels are. We dip ours in melted butter'. WHAT? You dip yours in melted butter but send customers out the door with a dry, warm pretzel? How about you offer melted butter? Or maybe tell customers that you might want to take it home and melt some butter to help the dough wad slide down! I appreciate fresh made pastries. I'm sure they work hard to make their product. We all work hard, but to spend almost $30 on this snack was unsatisfying. After reading her replies to other complaints I'm sure I'll get a snarky comment in return, but just know that you have been warned. Sorry I didn't read the reviews first. I went in the store on Tuesday before thanksgiving to grab a gluten free cake. Had to be preordered so I did. Even though it was short notice the rude owner took my order and my $98 for an 8" cake. Said it would be ready thanksgiving morning at 7. Needless to say I got a text ready after 10. Drove up and was told that my cake was already picked up and she would go bake me one ready in two hours. They tried to call me shortly after I left the store to tell me the cake was there all along I can not believe they didn't even look while I was there let alone thought my cake was already picked up. So unorganized I asked if they got the name and phone number to verify it was for the right person and the rude owner looked at me like I had three heads. When I returned to get the cake and I was pissed off after my second trip there I said I was shocked how unorganized this bakery is and asked if this is how she runs her business. See repeated she took a last minute order and I said you took my order and my money and you could have said no. She looked at me and said this is the thanks I get for a rush order-goodbye This place is very unorganized and the owner/ baker is as rude as can be. I was going to the "divine' bakery. I thought since it was local it would be a nice bakery. But i realized i was waking in to a nightmare. I waked in with my daughter and she was walking around and the owner said "Hey don't touch anything." We then went to order and we got macaroons and boba. When we got home we tried the macaroons and they were crusty and stale. And one of the owners did not listen to my boba order. It was something completely different. For 4 macaroons it was $15! My boba was another $10! I would 0/10 not recommend. I would recommend Glazed. They are amazing there! read more

I've somehow been sleeping on the best bakery in the north! Fresh pie, breads, cakes, vegan homemade pasta, jam, the options are endless with each one better than the last! We tried pastries and warm beverages for breakfast and also purchased all of the other goodies mentioned. our experience was nothing short of lovely, the woman behind the counter reminded me of my grandmother, she even gave me a terrific baking recipe rolled around the rolling pin, can't wait to try it out! If I could give Susan and her bakery negative stars I would! First and last time customer! Called to ask about a custom cake order for my 2 year old granddaughter. Figured it probably couldn't happen with the short notice I was giving but thought it was worth a call. Stumbled upon this bakery on google (shame on google- or me for not reading the reviews). Spoke to Susan about a rubber duck cake for my granddaughters birthday and she said no problem and that she would stop and find a couple rubber ducks to put on the cake.. Ordered vanilla buttercream frosting with chocolate cake and raspberry filling. Got a call from Susan's mother who works at the bakery (learned that on my call with Susan who at the time was super nice) she was telling me cake was ready but no ducks! That I could stop and look for some if I wanted them because her daughter didn't have the time- what the heck did she take my order for then if she didn't have time?! Went to get cake to see what I could do because was traveling with cake next day for party. Got there Susan was there and awful! Cake had chocolate frosting not vanilla and she had tried to half-a@$ it with a chocolate chick from Easter on top of it. When confronted about the entire mess up she was not apologetic at all - just said this is her busy time and oh she guessed she wrote her notes wrong when we spoke on the phone also told me I was lucky I didn't get a rush charge - which wasn't mentioned on the phone but she pointed to a sign in her shop (you know the one I just stepped foot in to pickup a cake - that was ordered over the phone) - this woman should not be in business! I did end up picking up a cake from fry's ... yep fry's and got ducks to decorate with. Did take my $95 bakery disappointment to my daughters so we could at least try before I reviewed - was hoping at least the cake was worth the $95 because it wasn't going to work for the party and guess what .... it was horrible! Everyone took at fork full and no one I mean no one wanted a piece! It was so bitter and you couldn't even find the raspberry filling - we ended up throwing away my $95 waste of a cake! Save yourself a lot of frustration, time, disappointment and run the other way from this place! Susan's personality and customer service matches her cakes - not worth your time or money! read more

The baker there is extremely rude! My friend just moved to the area and I was visiting and she got so excited when she saw the bakery. Walked in she was happy to see the bread and my friend asked oh do you bake it here? The baker says well where are we supposed to bake it? Do you see a kitchen here? Never being in there my friend did not look to see if there were doors that lead to a kitchen so how was she supposed to know. Instead of saying no we don't we have a kitchen couple blocks down we bake there and bring it to the shop. Never again would we go in there! read more

Stopped by today with my 5 boys. I needed to enjoy the beautiful weather, and I hoped some sweets would make the kids happy. I love trying out local businesses so I was excited to try this bakery. The rule was only 4 customers at a time. The customer before me insisted I go before him and my kids and I counted as 1. Between us being a party of 6 and my little kids being so excited by the desserts, we seemed to cause the worker or owner lots of anxiety. She seemed to almost have a heart attack a few times. This added to my stress from the kids. No idea how much the items cost as a blur from the kids. Yes the strudel was delicious. Not sure I'd return as it seems this lady doesn't understand a mom with kids. read more

I went here for the first time today. It was a really nice bakery and the ladies there were so nice. My favorite part was THEY HAD CANNOLIS!!! That is all we got while we were there but they were really good. Rivaled my favorite ones in Little Italy in San Diego! I'll be back for sure. read more
