I have been driving by this restaurant for awhile wondering how good the food would be. Well today I stopped in wanting a home-cooked country style meal. I always want to try and support small business and hope the food is outstanding but today didn't make the mark. Very disappointed in the beef tips and gravy with mac & cheese and squash casserole. I saw a picture from another review and thought it looked very good but mine didn't look anything like the other customers. I was really shocked at how small the portion was especially with the sides and there was hardly any rice up under the beef tips. This is a $15 meal here, I think you could do better than this. I'm a mac & cheese connoisseur and your mac & cheese just doesn't do it for me. The food was all delicious! Ample portions. The ordering on-line was super easy. Not all meatloaf from restaurants come up to hoped for expectations but this one is extra good. Fresh collards, sweet potatoes and potato salad were excellent. My husband got a big piece of red velvet cake and the peanut butter pie were both big enough to share. This is best Southern Cooking and best BBQ that I've had in NC. The service is terrific. The choices are impressive and the taste is amazing. No alcohol but the lemonade is great. Very reasonably priced. Ambiance was chill during peak lunch hours on a Monday. Food came out quickly and was brought right to our table, after ordering at the counter. Highly recommended. And they take "Phoenix Cash" if you're on an Elon meal plan (which we're not but definitely a great option for Elon students). read more

We haven't been here since before Covid and met some friends here tonight. This used to be a sit down restaurant where you were served. They've changed the format. You can either get your order to go or you sit down, point your phone at a sign on the table and you get a link to the menu. You order and then pay using your phone. When your order comes up they call you to the counter and you pick it up. The food is served in cardboard containers. I ordered the beef tips, collard greens and Mac'n cheese. The beef tips were very good. The collard greens had a barbecue sauce taste and were too sweet for my taste. One of our friends also had the collard greens and found them too sweet. My Dad found his food to be ok. Not quite the as good as when he first ate here. Our friend had the meatloaf and wasn't too impressed. This business does a good catering business and have a good reputation from that. We weren't too impressed with this visit. It's hard to order, eating off cardboard isn't appetizing and the food seems to have slipped a bit. read more

We have dined in quite a bit and had them deliver to our home for a baby shower. Everyone at the shower said they loved the food as much as we do! Delivery was prompt! Visiting a friend and we looked up restaurants nearby, and found this gem. I tried the beef tips with mac&cheese and string beans. The beef tips were tender and the gravy was good, I felt like I had too many beef tips for the amount of rice , which is normally the other way around. The Mac and cheese was delicious, the sting beans were okay, they were a little sweet. My friend had the chicken breast with squash and collards, she enjoyed it, stated the gravy was really good and wished they had turkey wings. Oh and the strawberry lemonade was banging, when I got home I added some vodka to it and it raised it to another level. I am taking the time to give this review in hopes most if not all who "google" this location read this. Mother's Day weekend 13MAY2023, my wife ordered the following side items at 5:21pm 12MAY2023 to be picked up 13MAY2023 for our Mother's Day get together. A la Carte - Feed four Fixin' (pickup) Southern Green Beans quantity 2, Mac n' Cheese quantity 2, Grandma's Banana Pudding (feed four x2) and Buttermilk Cornbread Dozen. The total came to $74.93 and we did utilize the coupon "PICKUP" which saved us a total of $7.49, then we left a $11.24 tip. We paid for the items prior to pickup. Once the items were ordered my wife received a confirmation text which stated: "Order Alert from: Thank you for your purchase. Your order will be ready on 5/13/2023 at 11:00am at It's All Good: Southern Kitchen 3281 South Church Street Burlington, NC 27215. Please visit your order page for more information or to opt out from SMS messages." Upon my arrival I did notice the open time for the new location was 4:30pm. I was concerned as I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to pick up our order for our Mother's Day get together. I tried to open the door and it was locked. I drove to the previous location thinking it would be a location for pickups outside of the restaurant hours. There were signs up at the previous location stating the new location change. I did go back and knocked on the door. I noticed a lady stand up and see me at the door and sat right back down. I continued to knock until she came to the door, as she approached she was disgruntled that I continued to knock and stated, "Sir we don't open until 4:30pm, if you would like to come back" at this point I interrupted and stated "Ma'am, I have an online order to pickup" and did allow her to see the order confirmation on my phone. She then asked the gentleman inside if she had an order in my wife's name and the gentleman was frustrated the order may have not come through properly. The lady stated "ok Sir, we apologize and we will get that ready for you, please give us a little bit." I waited for 15 minutes for the order to be made and once made asked if we could receive a discount or gift card for the inconvenience (mind you the system created the inconvenience). She stated she could not offer a discount at this time and I explained due to the price and the wait, with both of us confused on why our order was an anomaly she stated she would ask the manager. Of course she came back and stated that they could not offer any compensation whatsoever for the inconvenience I asked if they treat all of their customers this way. She replied "Sir, you arrived 15 minutes ago and we got your order ready that fast." I explained to her that the system was not the customers fault but the wait time along with all that went along with my experience should be compensated even when my situation was abnormal was all the more reason to at least offer me a discount even after we previously paid and left a tip! This store clearly did not offer me the discount nor did they want to compensate for my time. It's a little upsetting when my wife and I try our best to create a decent Mother's day weekend for our family and for me to be gone for so long on training events with the Army (away from family 6weeks to sometimes 6 moths at a time) that when you come back to your hometown to be treated as such. I will not be back and hope all take the time to read this. I am a out of the box person and try to give the story on both sides the benefit of the doubt and tell it as I see it but this was not a great experience at all and especially from a company who you would think would offer southern hospitality at its finest. Awful. Bought the BOGO burger deal for carry out and realized they only gave us one burger when we got home. Added a side of "salt cracked chips," which I assumed were home chips for 3 or 4 dollars, and they just threw a handful of literally stale potato chips in the box. Additionally all the slices of dessert were very small, maybe that was just delivery but either way it seems unfair for how much you're paying. Tonight, my daughter and I tried It's All Good Southern Kitchen (S. Church St. Burlington, NC) on the advice of a friend. A customer was leaving with her to-go order as we were walking to the door. She said she had tried almost everything on the menu and really liked it. That was encouraging. While we were there, several customers and DoorDash came in to pick up orders. The restaurant's atmosphere is casual and the server, Cole, was very friendly and helpful. Kyle, one of the owners, was in the kitchen cooking up the delicious food we had. I ordered Southern Chicken Pie, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. It came with a cornbread muffin (Jiffy Mix, perhaps?). My daughter ordered the same thing but got squash casserole instead of collards. Overall, the food is very tasty although a bit pricey. The Southern Chicken Pie is a tiny bit salty and the mac n cheese was made with rotini pasta instead of elbow; however, both dishes were very good. My daughter particularly enjoyed the squash casserole and my favorite was the collard greens. The collards were just a little sweet, not a deal breaker though. Neither Cracker Barrel nor K & W Cafeteria can compare. Both say they have Southern food; however, it's our opinion that It's All Good Southern Kitchen actually does. It's so much better. Wow! What a great find here on yelp. I woke up late today and didn't know what I wanted to eat. Scrolled through all of the chain restaurants nearby for breakfast had a frown on my face, then found this. There was a couple hidden reviews that got stopped by the phishing software that were all 5 stars. Those reviews getting blocked does not do this place justice. It's a pretty simple menu but the cooking quality is second to none. I felt as if I was at my grandmas for breakfast and it took me back to when I was a kid! It is a little difficult to find being in the back of a building that looks like somewhat of a banquet center, but, all good things are worth searching for. I pretended that my Fitbit wasn't on today and got the southern scramble. It was hashbrowns covered with bacon sausage scrambled eggs cheese and sausage gravy. Amazing. Well, I absolutely love the food here! I've eaten from here before but I have always been treated to it and had it delivered by Grubhub so I never really knew the actual prices of what I was getting. I go here for the first time to sit down and eat and as usual it's fantastic but, when I got the bill I was floored The price was outrageous for what little bit me and my friend got. If I hadn't gotten a water it probably would have been more. The price is the only thing stopping me from giving this place a 5 star. I would have come out cheaper just going to Cracker Barrel. I couldn't even afford to give the poor waiter but a one dollar tip because it took every bit of the cash I had to pay for the meals! So my husband and I settled for the meatloaf instead. Probably the worst meatloaf I'd ever tried!! The meat was poor quality and it was super sweet and mushy! Instead of using crackers or oatmeal, they must make it with bread (and not even the crust), which makes it soggy. And speaking of sweet, EVERYTHING was insanely sweet. The sweet tea was undrinkable, the mash potatoes were sweetened to death and so was the corn bread (which was otherwise nice and soft). My husband said all his sides were sweet too! DIABETICS STAY AWAY!! Should be called It's All Sweet instead! Also the bathroom is unisex, which was the cherry on top. Was in Burlington for work and wanted to try a hole in the wall for breakfast. I came in right when it opened. It was disappointing to say the least and priced relatively high for what I received. In fact, I think Biscuitville or Chik fil'a are better options, coming from someone who avoids chains at all costs. Breakfast Scrambler ($9): Consisted a pile of hashbrowns on the bottom with sausage, bacon, green pepper, egg and gravy ontop. The hashbrowns were not soft and in fact very burnt. The same can be said about the sausage and bacon. Sure I love a crispy bacon, but this was actually blackened. The gravy was also very salty. Was unable to finish the dish in its entirety Everything Omelet ($10): Again, the sausage and bacon were burnt black and that taste resonated throughout the omelet. Also, the egg was not properly infused with the contents. The egg enveloped the contents like a crepe. However, to make a great omelet, the filling should be well merged within the egg. Was unable to finish the dish in its entirety. On Yelp I also saw some other breakfast restaurants, so I may have to check them out too. N.Y. bagel was closed so I went to yelp and found a restaraunt in Burlington that I had never visited. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the freshness. I agree that the decor is more like a tea shop than a restaraunt but the proof is in the pudding and it was good food. I ordered a scramble that was huge and delicious. My hubby got pancake breakfast and he said it was tasty also. Our baby snacked on pancakes and bacon and she seemed pretty thrilled too. The Guatemalan coffee was robust in flavor.
