    Okra fries
    Mike G.

Really yummy family brunch here today. The bread they provide is fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the okra fries we split as an appetizer. I splurged and went with the shrimp and grits. Spicier than I expected, the flavor was wonderful. The order didn't seem that big, but it was quite rich and very filling. My wife enjoyed her black bean cakes. Others at our table enjoyed the French toast (which was huge), the avocado toast, the vegetable omelette, and the salmon salad. Service was maybe a little slow at times, but they were busy, so I'll cut them some slack. We'd definitely come back here again if given the opportunity.

My wife and I wanted to do something special for lunch so we decided to go to Lucky 32 and sit on their outdoor patio. The staff were friendly and efficient. We got some specialty cocktails and complimentary bread with the okra fries appetizer. For our lunch, my wife got the Goat Cheese & Spinach Chicken that comes with whipped sweet potatoes and blistered okra. I got the Chef Selection which was a tasty chicken sandwich. Inside and outside are elegant dining areas and they have a resident artist, Chip Holton, from Lexington.

Had a nice dinner with some girl friends to celebrate thanksgiving and catch up. We made a reservation for the three of us at 6:45pm on a Tuesday just to be safe but it was not too busy at the time. There's a decent lot for parking, so no worries on that front either. We were seated at a large booth near the front by the hostess stand. I just ordered a glass of chardonnay and for our entrees, we enjoyed the fish cakes and bacon wrapped meatloaf. The food came out surprisingly fast, less than 10 minutes, and we all enjoyed our meals. Since we were celebrating, couldn't pass up dessert and shared a frozen peanut butter pie. It was a colossal serving and the three of us together only got through about half, but it was delicious. We topped it all off with a couple coffees. All in all, we had a pleasant time and enjoyed the tasty food, good service, comfortable ambience. Would recommend! @azfitfoodfun

I loved the decor... especially the light fixtures

We visited this restaurant for small a graduation celebration brunch. The space was beautifully decorated (I loved the light fixtures), our server was excellent (sorry, I forgot his name), and our food was delicious. We opted for the Fried Green Tomato Benedict and Sweet Potato Hash entrees. The grits had a very nice flavor, and were creamy, despite them being a little on the dry side. Maybe I'm just used to looser grits, but that's the only thing that didn't meet my expectation. I'll definitely return though!

Perfect patio! Amazing service - we were not only accommodated but welcomed with a toddler and babies - yes, babies (plural) - in tow! Five stars for food, service, accommodations, and space. Love, love Lucky!

Juicy pork schnitzel, this thing is huge!

Lucky 32 continues to be a go-to when you're craving elevated Southern comfort food done right. It's one of those places that strikes a balance between cozy and classy, familiar flavors with a bit of finesse. Service was excellent during our visit. Friendly, attentive, and on point from start to finish. We started with the truffle fries, and wow, actual truffle flavor! Not the faint hint some places give you, but a proper, flavorful punch that made every bite worth savoring. The fried green tomatoes were also solid. Crispy, well-seasoned, and nicely balanced. For mains, I had the pork schnitzel, and let me just say: this thing was massive! Juicy inside, crispy and seasoned perfectly on the outside. My wife had the crispy duck over grits with a rich pesto sauce, and the whole dish worked really well together. Decadent and flavorful. The menu sticks to its roots with classic Southern dishes, but also mixes things up seasonally, which keeps things fresh and interesting. Overall, Lucky 32 brings consistently good food, thoughtful presentation, and a warm, upscale atmosphere. A solid 4 stars and an easy spot to recommend.

My favorite way to experience this place is to go to the lounge/bar area. The service is on point and the food and drinks are always wonderful. I love their chicken tomato basil soup and black bean cakes with green beans. It's very quaint and the booths are very comfortable. Don't forget about the veranda in the warmer months!

The atmosphere is always nice and the food is very tasty. If you're looking for southern comfort this is a great choice in the triad area. The staff are very friendly and constantly refreshes your beverages. Overall it's a great place to dine at.

Stopped for dinner last night after getting picked up from airport. Arrived when the restaurant opened so not too many people there. Our server was extremely friendly and gave helpful suggestions. Didn't have a huge menu to choose from but the food was good. Tried the goat cheese spinach chicken with blistered okra and mashed sweet potatoes. Received complimentary bread and butter as well. Didn't get a picture but also tried the fried green tomatoes. They were tasty!

I had the French toast platter with the fried chicken. The French toast was pretty good but the bread used was pretty flat but it was tasty and the chicken was overcooked, there was some black spots from being fried too long. The dip is always so delicious - it's one of my favorite appetizers ever. The pita is really good too. I think they recently started adding cheese to it too which is good but not really necessary in my opinion. At first, they brought us pita that was really burnt but our waiter told us she requested a fresh batch without us even saying anything which I think is great service. I also tried their garlic parm boneless wings & they were so good. I loved how seasoned & salty they were, although they might be too salty for some people. I really loved it though! Their cocktail menu is also really interesting & creative. It's mostly whiskey of course but they do have other spirits. I tried the peanut butter & jelly Old fashioned and it was surprisingly delicious. It really did taste like a PB&J so I highly recommend. The inside is small but there's a nice outdoor seating area too. This really is one of my favorite places to get food in the area BUT the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because anytime I've been there remotely close to closing, they definitely let you know & make you feel rushed. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. I still really love this place & will keep going (but probably not within an hour or so of closing lol)

Arrived 30+ minutes after opening and was told the French toast sticks were "still in the oven." Ordered shrimp and grits. The peppers and onions weren't charred--they were burnt. The grits texture was off, sausage was chopped into unrecognizable bits, and one shrimp wasn't cleaned properly (which was enough to end the party for me). The sauce had good flavor, but it couldn't save the dish. Mentioned it to our server--got an "oh, okay" and a walk-off. No follow-up, no fix. Tried to order the French toast sticks for dessert...still "in the oven." At that point, I had to laugh and ask is the oven on? The cook then offered to make an individual serving just for us. What??? To be fair, my significant other enjoyed his meal. But it just wasn't worth the drive from Winston-Salem. Really wanted to love it. Maybe I will try dinner. Cause this wasn't it.

Between excellent service, from the host to the kitchen staff, and being a bright, cheery place decorated in a modern farmhouse feel (only complaint is the HARD seating), we love this place. The food is always delicious and seasoned perfectly with FLAVOR. For the appetizer, the Salad Pizza is absolutely scrumptious and was recommended by our server our first visit here last year. Honestly, it keeps bringing us back. The flavors are incredible. It has feta, mozzarella, topped with organic greens, shaved onions, tossed in a lemon/dijon dressing with shaved parmesan. It's a flavor bomb in the mouth. The meatloaf, is to die for. If you're a meatloaf eater this is for you. It's so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth and the sauce on top is the perfect blend of sweet and savory to top it off. For my two sides this time I chose the fried brussels sprouts and the greens. The greens are always seasoned perfectly and the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. They tasted even better dipped in my meatloaf sauce so that was a win-win. My boyfriend had the special which was short ribs. For his two sides, he had greens and green beans. The short rib was perfectly tender and absolutely delicious full of flavor and moist for him. The green beans and the greens were also perfect as well full of flavor, just enough fat and butter. It's a great little date spot or a family dinner. They also have outdoor seating covered with umbrellas. There's a bar inside with a TV if you choose to go watch sports and the food here is always on point full of flavor and makes you want to come back and try more things on the menu. They also had several reasonably priced drink specials, which was a nice surprise. The service was amazing--friendly, attentive, and a big part of what made the meal so enjoyable. Overall, a really solid dining experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

My partner visited Black Magnolia last week after her massage at Green Leaf Wellness center and raved about her cinnamon roll, so I decided to treat myself to one as well and it did not disappoint. The storefront itself is quite small, consisting of a standing room and the glass case of baked goods, but there is seating outside and around the establishment. The staff was attentive, briefing me on all the cinnamon rolls they currently had and letting me know that there were some baking that would be available a bit later. Each roll looked decadent with flavors ranging from lemon blueberry, s'mores, and classic. There were also scones and other baked goods available as well, but I had my heart set on the Classic Cinnamon Roll. I bit into this beauty on my way home and it was the softest and most delicious cinnamon roll I have ever had! I started with a Cajun Martini made with jalapeño-infused vodka, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. It did not taste artificially jalapeño-flavored; it had a real kick and just the right amount of heat. We started with the Crawfish Rangoon Dip, and honestly, I could have made a meal out of it. I have had Rangoon dips before, but this one was especially smooth and full of flavor. If I had been at home, I probably would have been tempted to run my finger around the bowl to get every last bit. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp Étouffée. Others at the table ordered the Duck Jambalaya, Shrimp and Grits, and Gumbo Yaya. My dish seemed to get better with every bite. The Creole stew was rich and deeply flavorful without being over the top. I was especially glad our waitress suggested adding a side of garlic bread to mop up the sauce. Even the garlic bread stood out, toasted on the grill with a slightly smoky flavor. It felt like real attention had been paid to every detail. We all tried each other's dishes, and I would happily go back and order any one of them. The banana pudding at the end of the meal was just as good. It had a strong banana flavor and was not overly sweet. Our servers were friendly and attentive, and the meal moved at a relaxed pace. We never felt rushed. My only complaint was the noise level. The restaurant has a tiled ceiling, and it got loud enough that at times, it was difficult to hear people on the other side of the table. Even with that, I would go back to Blue Denim!

The crawfish rangoon dip was delightfully cheesy with large pieces of crawfish, the chili sauce was sweet and had a tiny bit of heat, and I loved the crisp and light wonton chips. There is a moderate amount of cajun spices, so if you don't like somewhat spicy food, you may want to ask to see if they can adjust this, but I loved it as is. My husband had the King Catfish plate and really enjoyed it, though we both agreed the Shrimp and Grits was superior. My only complaint with Blue Denim is the noise level. It is a small space with a charming interior, but given its tight quarters, it can get quite loud even if the restaurant is only half full. I really can't judge on that because I haven't sampled other fried chicken in the vicinity but based on my own research of sampling fried chicken all over North Carolina, I feel confident in my assumption.
