Lucky 32 did a renovation and they are looking great. We stopped by early without reservations and got seated promptly. Addie is a great server. We got the okra starter, the Fried Chicken plate, Fried Green tomatoes and also Filet Mignon for our picky eater. Everything was excellent. Their local artist was not present but had an empty canvas waiting.

Ahhhh, my favorite meal at Lucky 32's...black bean cakes, whipped sweet potatoes and green beans. My friend from New Jersey had the delicious jambalaya, medium spice. We got a hot, loaf of wheat bread before our meal. I decided that their bread is the best in Greensboro! We ordered our favorite summer cocktails of gin and tonics. Yum! Our server Marlo was personable and very attentive. You just can't miss with Lucky 32's. I also love the vibe. We were there on a night when the artist paints live in the bar. So much fun!

Went on Sunday for a quick celebration on mums 80th birthday. Food was good and wait staff very helpful and attentive Okra fries - yummy. Only issue - portion size too small - see pic. Crab dip - very cheesy - cucumber slices reduces the greasiness , a nice touch. Truffle fries - a bit on the greasy side but very good. I loved fried catfish. Tender inside and corn meal was very rich. Perfectly cooked French beans. Also tried fried chicken - one if the best I've had. Flavorful and Everyone loved their food. Also had deserts - didn't take a pic though. Flourless chocolate cake taste similar to the brownie. Overall - nice env for a good southern meal.

Really yummy family brunch here today. The bread they provide is fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the okra fries we split as an appetizer. I splurged and went with the shrimp and grits. Spicier than I expected, the flavor was wonderful. The order didn't seem that big, but it was quite rich and very filling. My wife enjoyed her black bean cakes. Others at our table enjoyed the French toast (which was huge), the avocado toast, the vegetable omelette, and the salmon salad. Service was maybe a little slow at times, but they were busy, so I'll cut them some slack. We'd definitely come back here again if given the opportunity.

Had a nice dinner with some girl friends to celebrate thanksgiving and catch up. We made a reservation for the three of us at 6:45pm on a Tuesday just to be safe but it was not too busy at the time. There's a decent lot for parking, so no worries on that front either. We were seated at a large booth near the front by the hostess stand. I just ordered a glass of chardonnay and for our entrees, we enjoyed the fish cakes and bacon wrapped meatloaf. The food came out surprisingly fast, less than 10 minutes, and we all enjoyed our meals. Since we were celebrating, couldn't pass up dessert and shared a frozen peanut butter pie. It was a colossal serving and the three of us together only got through about half, but it was delicious. We topped it all off with a couple coffees. All in all, we had a pleasant time and enjoyed the tasty food, good service, comfortable ambience. Would recommend! @azfitfoodfun

We visited this restaurant for small a graduation celebration brunch. The space was beautifully decorated (I loved the light fixtures), our server was excellent (sorry, I forgot his name), and our food was delicious. We opted for the Fried Green Tomato Benedict and Sweet Potato Hash entrees. The grits had a very nice flavor, and were creamy, despite them being a little on the dry side. Maybe I'm just used to looser grits, but that's the only thing that didn't meet my expectation. I'll definitely return though!

Still a classic local restaurant in Greensboro. They have revamped the menu so browse the options to see if your favorites are still available. Perfect for date night and groups. Be sure to schedule a reservation. Pros Local food Southern cusine with a twist Beautiful restaurant Nice service Location off Wendover Ave in Greensboro Thoughtful menu Seasonal options Cons Menu frequently changes so favorites rotate out

Service: excellent Food: the real star of the show. All dishes well prepared, hot & delicious. My skillet fried chicken was crispy on outside, tender & juicy inside. Ambiance: clean environment; soft, good music; lights not too bright to keep things quieter; nice artwork on display. One of our favorites in GSO and last night was a home run.

Perfect patio! Amazing service - we were not only accommodated but welcomed with a toddler and babies - yes, babies (plural) - in tow! Five stars for food, service, accommodations, and space. Love, love Lucky!

Lucky 32 continues to be a go-to when you're craving elevated Southern comfort food done right. It's one of those places that strikes a balance between cozy and classy, familiar flavors with a bit of finesse. Service was excellent during our visit. Friendly, attentive, and on point from start to finish. We started with the truffle fries, and wow, actual truffle flavor! Not the faint hint some places give you, but a proper, flavorful punch that made every bite worth savoring. The fried green tomatoes were also solid. Crispy, well-seasoned, and nicely balanced. For mains, I had the pork schnitzel, and let me just say: this thing was massive! Juicy inside, crispy and seasoned perfectly on the outside. My wife had the crispy duck over grits with a rich pesto sauce, and the whole dish worked really well together. Decadent and flavorful. The menu sticks to its roots with classic Southern dishes, but also mixes things up seasonally, which keeps things fresh and interesting. Overall, Lucky 32 brings consistently good food, thoughtful presentation, and a warm, upscale atmosphere. A solid 4 stars and an easy spot to recommend.

My favorite way to experience this place is to go to the lounge/bar area. The service is on point and the food and drinks are always wonderful. I love their chicken tomato basil soup and black bean cakes with green beans. It's very quaint and the booths are very comfortable. Don't forget about the veranda in the warmer months!

Lucky 32 service is always exceptional! They typically have fresh flowers on the table to give the environment a calm and relaxing feel. I ordered the catfish w/ grits and chargrilled okra. I love the remoulade sauce they provided with the catfish, it's a nice touch to the dish. The coleslaw is surprising good as well. Unfortunately, on this first my okra was under cooked when it first came out. The waitress was nice enough to get me another serving, however those were a bit burnt.

The atmosphere is always nice and the food is very tasty. If you're looking for southern comfort this is a great choice in the triad area. The staff are very friendly and constantly refreshes your beverages. Overall it's a great place to dine at.

Our server was excellent, the wine list is impressive, my local beer was fantastic, and my wife enjoyed her wine. The food was where things slipped. My wife's wood-fired salmon was pretty good, but her vegetables came out with no seasoning at all. My wood-fired filet was cooked exactly right, but it also had no seasoning, and when you find yourself asking for steak sauce for a filet, something has gone wrong in the kitchen. Then the peach crumble showed up and stole the entire night. It is genuinely amazing, and I'd tell anyone within earshot to order it. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks, and a dessert worth the trip. If the kitchen brings the seasoning up to the level of everything else, this is easily a four-and-a-half-star restaurant.

The eggs tasted like powdered eggs, the bacon was dried out, and the sausage was so dry and tough that I had to use a knife just to cut through it. This was our first visit, and unfortunately, it will probably be our last. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else for brunch.

The service isn't going to be in and out as this isn't a large place with lots of wait staff. Expect to be here at least an hour. They have Coors on draft (nostalgia for the Mr.) and tall boy PBRs. Not your thing? Don't let that deter you bc they are one of the few places I have seen who has Old Rasputin on DRAFT. Those not familiar, this is a Russian imperial stout by North Coast Brewery out of Ft Bragg, California. Something I haven't had since... well, I lived in California. Personally, one of my favorite stouts. Beer not your thing? They have an array of specialty contrails and some solid liquor choices including buffalo trace's limited purchase bourbon (eagle rare/ blantons). Food: the Brussels, sandwiches, and salads looked amazing (neighboring patting got those). We split a few things: Brisket: nit the best I have ever had, but solid choice. Maybe not for the $, but it was fall apart brisket. Wings: these are crispy fried with sauce on the side. A little hard but good. Not my favorite. The poutine was by far a favorite with the melty cheese and the gravy was delicious. We also had the street corn and with the lime was pretty good as well. These 4 things were plenty for the 2 of us with a little extra. We didn't mind paying the extra because of the experience. I did about die of heat, but I should have put a hair the in my bag and wore a skit or just not jeans. We will definitely be back.

That's the way it was for us and Taproom, a long time Greensboro pub on Battleground Avenue. The last time we stopped by was pre-pandemic. Prior to Covid we had been somewhat regulars, visiting every couple of months. As we walked in, it was as if we had entered a time machine. Nothing aesthetically had changed. That's a good thing because Taproom exuded the comfortable dark wood intimate setting that it is always enjoyed. We wanted a little bar food and a couple of adult beverages. At the suggestion of the bartender, we split a Caesar salad as well as a Black and Bleu black flatbread. The Caesar salad is a classic and was very satisfying. Can't say it is special, but it is simply delicious. The flatbread was a lot of fun. It comes with olive oil, caramelized, onion, crumbled bleu cheese, mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. We added blackened fillet tips as our protein. My only complaint is I should've ordered two. The flatbread is incredibly satisfying and the beef tips were savory, tender, and flavorful. I went old-school on the drink. I had a 20 ounce Guinness, while my wife had a mule. Both were spot on and worked really well with the food we had. Everything was very affordable as well. Taproom is loud and feels neighborly. I reviewed it nine years ago and I'm changing nothing. I highly recommend a visit if you're looking for drinks and pub food in a classic environment.
