    Banana Foster

One of the best banana flavored ice creams I've had!! There were bits of caramel, banana, and Nilla (?) -- so good! This was much needed on a hot day but it was melting extremely quickly.

This small ice cream shop is inside the Farmers Marker. We ordered the Italian ice coconut cream . It was like eating snow! Nom nom nom lol. Smooth, creamy coconut, so delicious. It tastes better than other coconut ice cream and feels organic. Due to us asking if there are peanuts, the worker asked if it was a food allergy, then said she will go in back to make sure its untouched. Thank you so much Lily!

I fricking LOVE AFFOGATOS!!! I've been craving it since I finished the cup. Super foamy espresso with ice cream, my favorite

There's a lot of options and the price is reasonable. It's nice that you can add any ice cream to the affogato vs. it being limited to just vanilla. I did a coffee flavor with heath pieces and it was delicious!

The pina colada was on point. Fresh made. I'm glad I stopped and get this. Best thing I had all day.

The Ice cream is made there! Only spot I know that has banana foster ice cream, which is now my favorite flavor. The employees are cool as well!

Ice cream scoops of Cookie Monster and strawberry shortcake in a medium cup. Plus a nice piña colada.

Delicious flavors. We were pleasantly surprised how yummy it was. They offered free samples and it was nice to try ice cream flavors before picking your scoops. Such a nice treat on a hot day!

I really enjoyed the handcrafted ice cream here! I tried their Cookie Monster, Strawberry, and Vanilla. My favorite would have to be the Cookie Monster. I loved the balance between the vanilla, Oreos cookies, and chocolate chips. On top of that, it was not overly sweet! It is a tad bit on the pricey side. I got a medium cup and was able to choose 3 flavors and it came out to be a little over $7.

Cute little ice cream stand at the market that is at The Grove! I couldn't decide so I got a cup with two different flavors - coconut and mango. Both flavors were delicious and perfectly refreshing for the hot Los Angeles weather! Expect to pay a lot for the ice cream though (it's $8 for the smallest size!)

Milo's Minted Chip in a waffle cone. Nothing is better.

If any food should be "handcrafted" it should be ice cream. The ice cream here is cold, creamy and delicious. My favorite is mint chocolate chip and their Milo's Minted Chip delivers with smooth minty flavor. Add a waffle cone and you have ice cream perfection. Soooo good. Here are some other selections. While we were looking at the website beforehand, she spotted McConnell's Fine Ice Creams and immediately locked onto it. So the moment we arrived, we went searching for it. When she saw the case full of flavors, she lit up. McConnell's has a great selection, and she loved that you can get your ice cream in a cone, a cup, or her personal favorite; a cup with a cone on top. She chose a small cup of Sprinkle Cake with a sugar cone, and she was over the moon. The team working there was incredibly kind and patient with her, which made the experience even better. She took one bite and said the ice cream was "wicked good." She's officially a fan. McConnell's made her day, and that alone makes it worth the stop.

The passion fruit was refreshing, with a bright, fruity flavor that wasn't too sweet. The Earl Grey is my favorite. Then, an eternity ago, it closed and we were sad. Then Long Beach Creamery opened and we weren't that sad for that long, but still, I absolutely still thought about them every once in a while, sad that they'd left. Then, a much closer eternity ago (about a year ago - I've been super burned-out and not finishing my reviews), I was on my way from an event back to the blue line and walked by and noticed that they had, in fact, just moved. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.

Thank goodness I did, because the cashier came up to my table about 10 minutes later and handed me a little bag of fresh-ground matcha. She took a second to explain to me how to store it and keep it fresh, and I just really appreciated the extra bit of customer service, even if it's something they're maybe expected to do. When I have the money, I'll definitely come back and get their 100g pack! They have so many locations and only wish they had more. The closest to me is about 20mins away but it's worth the drive every time. I love this location especially. Always such friendly staff and never have to wait in a long line. Basically, if you're a newbie, you go in and ALWAYS as for the "seasonal flavors" for tasting. They give you tasters on silver spoons and you drop it down this hole when you're done. It's literally their culture to give you a taste of everything on their seasonal menu so don't skip out on this experience. It's the best way to try their ice cream. FUN FACT: they also have 1-2 flavors that are considered "last chance" flavors which means they are about to run out so get it before it's gone. Each month I go in to try another tasty flavor and it never disappoints but I am sometimes that girl who tries the new stuff but ends up getting her usual order (chocolate brownie) and am always happy. Just the smell of sugar cone alone when you walk in gets you hooked. The atmosphere is just so welcoming. Don't be intimidated by the many flavors to choose from because there are a lot. I like to get their double scoop in a waffle cone, but they also have awesome split scoop options for those more adventurous and want to try multiple flavors in one scoop. Saves you for when you're keeping your sugar levels down. There are usually always places to sit inside or outside so you can enjoy your goodies right away.
