Izzy Hops is the best place to go for a yummy brunch, especially if you're looking for (kind of) bottomless mimosas. It a great deal, because they just leave the bottle and OJ on the table and you can make the mimosas yourself. The bottles are cheap and perfect for a group to share. The menu has tons of different choices, so there's something for everyone. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which is great for the summer. The aesthetic and service are awesome and this should definitely be the spot for your next brunch!

BINGO, booze, bumping vibes Izzy hops is a great spot for date night, networking, community and to fill that belly up. They host regular trivia and bingo nights so be sure to check out their social media sites to get in on the action. This spot offered a ride range of beers and highlights some of Milwaukee local spots like Indeed Brewing. Get that pistachio beer if you haven't already. YUM! I ordered some fish tacos that would shine a little brighter with some different spices. Love the lighting in this place and the staff is quite helpful.

Izzy Hops is a bar with nice ambience with a full bar and plenty of tap beers. The servers are friendly. They have a nice city patio for the few months out of the year we get to enjoy such pleasures in life. This bar definitely seems like it has all age ranges, and is not full of people who are freshly drinking age. This is a nice place to grab drinks with friends or even a first date!

Izzy Hops is a really beautiful space, it's hard to imagine it used to be Rascals! It has such a warm, cozy vibe like you're hanging out at home. Or maybe it's just how I want my home to look? We finally tried the food and the bf and I were impressed. The portabella sandwich was tasty and I had enough for lunch the next day. The Philly burger, although messy, was enjoyed thoroughly by my bf. We were a little out of luck the day we went, the first two taps we wanted to try ran out the night before. Their food order didn't come in that week so they were out of slaw and fries. We had the only other option as a side, homemade chips. I normally avoid chips at restaurants but they were actually good! Some were chewy which I liked, but most crispy. They were seasoned with Parmesan and parsley. I'll be back to try their brunch and other menu items. They have happy hour as well with $2 off apps and drink specials. They have several TVs if you want to catch a game. There's a back medium sized room which I believe you can rent out for a more private event.

I stopped in a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night. The place was quiet when I arrived but the energy picked up within about 20 minutes of my arrival. Several groups of friends entered, set up camp at a table, and continued their fun night. This place seems to have become a popular neighborhood gathering place, which is cool. The crowd was mostly 20 somethings. I sat at the bar and ordered the Cajun Shrimp Wontons app, Italian Beef sandwich, and their J. Henry Maple Old Fashioned. I enjoyed the variety of upbeat, yet softly played music in that background which encouraged conversation. The Shrimp Wontons were delicious. I didn't taste the Cajun spices on the shrimp and the wonton wrap could have been a little crispier, but they were very good, simply filled with shrimp and cream cheese. I would order them again. The Italian Beef sandwich exceeded my expectations. The beef was tender and very well-seasoned. Giardiniera was served on the side, so you can control how spicy you want it, and a bold, flavorful jus was served on the side, so you can dip your sandwich if you want and not have a drippy, sloppy mess or not dip at all and enjoy the sandwich as is. I would definitely order this again and highly recommend it! The sandwich comes with house made potato chips that are dusted with parmesan. I liked them for the most part. I especially appreciated that they weren't cooked in dirty oil, so they didn't have the dark brown, burnt, bitter flavor to them. Most chips were crispy, while some had a stale texture. The J. Henry Maple Old Fashioned was great! If you prefer a slightly sweeter old fashioned, this one does the job. In the category of bars that serve food, I give Izzy Hops and Nosh 5 stars. I would say my expectations were exceeded here.

Shoutout to Nadia!!!!! She was the best bartender and had amazing recommendations! We're from Texas so we didn't know too many spots. We drove past this bar as everything else was super packed from shamrock shuffle. It looked kind of empty so we were hesitant. I'm so glad we decided to stop here. We got here around 11pm and kitchen closed at 10pm so we were not able to try the food. We are not IPA people, but the kombucha blueberry basil was super good! Shout out again to Nadia for giving us a sample! The service was amazing. After an hour or two everyone was gone and it was only us 2 and Nadias mom and friend. They were so cool and friendly! Loved everyone!! Sorry Nadia, I know we said we were coming back on Sunday but we kind of overslept and felt sick....LOL. I hope to visit Milwaukee and Izzy Hops again!! 10/10

So they have trivia on Tuesdays! We popped in for dinner and had a great time! Wings, nachos, cheese curds, and a house salad - everything was good as expected. Heard the nachos were what's up and were a tad disappointed that they didn't come on the usual tray, but still were delicious!

Super cute place inside! Small but has a nice back room with lots of seating. We went on a Saturday for brunch and it got pretty busy around 1pm. You order mimosas by the bottle for a decent price which is fun! The burger was great but the fries were the star for sure. Great place for brunch/mimosas

We came for some light fare before a show at the Collectivo Back Room. The music was a little loud for an Sunday evening adventure, but maybe I am too old. The beer selection was good, and our server was very attentive. There was a long wait for the food, and it wasn't overly busy. The low point for me was when I bit into my Italian beef sandwich, and chomped on a twist tie. My husband's shrimp won tons were pretty good, but a little too creamy. My friend enjoyed her slider trio. Sorry Izzy Hops - there are too many fine establishments on the East Side. I don't think I will be back any time soon. read more

If there's a new spot on the block that you need to try. Its this place! Great bar tenders who aren't afraid to shoot the shit and share a couple of laughs. Extensive beer list and apps that should have a book written about them. Not to mention they have a mural of Giannis Antetokounmpo on the wall, 100 points for swig & nosh for aesthetics read more

The prices here are excellent and you really cannot beat the mimosa deal! $23 for 3 bottles of champagne?! It's perfect for a group of people looking to brunch and catch up. I had the breakfast sandwich and a side of cheese curds and very much enjoyed my food although it was average in regards to other brunch places. I will be back for Wednesday night bingo at some point! read more

We took some out of town friends to brunch here last weekend. What a treat to have a great brunch place that takes reservations on the East Side!! Also - BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS AND BLOODY MARY'S. What more could you ask for? We were seated in the back room, which is a sunny, warm enclosed patio. They accommodated us right away and the service was friendly and fast. I ordered the quiche, my husband ordered the chicken parm sandwich, my son had the boneless chicken tenders, and our friends ordered the breakfast burger and breakfast burrito. My quiche was piping hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals - even my super picky son. My out of town friends thought the Bloody Mary with all the fixings was heaven! We sat for a long time and enjoyed the ambiance and the bottomless drinks. Our server was attentive but also gave us time to just be together and not feel rushed. She did a great job. I really enjoy the menu here. It's a great neighborhood restaurant and the 30 craft beers are awesome. Try the Italian beef, eggplant appetizer is to die for. They have gluten free options and vegetarian dishes as well. It also is one of the cleanest establishments. read more

This place is so cozy and relaxing. If you haven't tried the pizza selection or the Cuban Sandwich you are missing out. These guys have such an awesome bourbon selection. I love watching the Packer Game here on Sunday. They have a super fun trivia too. Check this place out as the face of making the NEW Lower Eastside cool again. read more

Me and the boys (Chet and Troy) go here every once in awhile for some cold beers. Let me tell you, service is fantastic. Thomas and Kellie create a FUN atmosphere. They go above and beyond to make old dogs like us feel welcome with all those hip whippersnappers. Beer is COLD and tasty. This is the premier bar on North. WARNING: don't drink 8 IPAs in 2 hours like Troy did. He had a mean hangover. read more

Burger was ok. Got there at 7 on a Wednesday and there were some people there but we were the only ones that had ordered food. Burger was warm, not hot, and it benefited from adding salt. Lots of TVs all over tuned to a college sports channel. Bingo started at 8 which drew more people. read more

I am newer to Milwaukee and I have found this to definitely be one of my favorite bars in the city! Food is great and they have a great selection of beer that is always rotating! I love this place. I grew up in MKE but I don't live here now. Every time I come back I come here. I either get a flight or like one beer. We're always here for brunch. The mimosas. And if you take the front table, we will best you up. That's our table. Been here for years now. Either way we love this place. It's such a great place! Sarah is a frat server and the bartenders know exactly what we want. Many thanks. Love them. One onwky been here like 20 times They drove me to summer fest once and that's pretty special. Love this bar!!! the interior is so unique and cozy. Fun place to bring your friends and hangout! There is also a back room that you can play darts and chill in. The food is amazing and I highly recommend the Marinara mozzarella or the Italian beef! Trivia is always a good time too, gets pretty packed for it so arrive early. Highly recommend! read more

Just looking for a relatively inexpensive meal for dinner, and it was good. Food was good, and our server was awesome. Don't recommend the shrimp wontons, as the shrimp to cream cheese ratio was way off. Inexpensive, quick bite. First time here.... nice, clean and modern decor. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. We ordered the shrimp wontons, Italian beef sandwich and chicken parmesan sandwich. Food was good but nothing to rave about. The half of the chips were soggy. Even the crisp chips were rather bland. The Italian beef was flavorful and moist - i would order this again. The chicken breast on the parm was cooked perfectly - moist with excellent crust. I just wanted more marinara sauce. The sauce was scant; I understand this makes for a cleaner dining experience but maybe a small cup of marinara on the side?!? The marinara tasted really good - i just wanted more. Overall the food was good but not great. I am glad we tried it but am unlikely to return. read more

Wow, couldn't resist the atmosphere while walking by - glad we stopped and definitely going back. Great draft beer selection (30ish) and tasty, quality food. My wife really liked the pulled pork sliders (I tried and agree) and we both enjoyed the fried cheese curd appetizer because there was more cheese(!!) and less breading than what we usually see. I'm a sucker for Italian Beef sandwiches, random I know, but this one lived up to my lofty expectations. Really nice vibe in the joint - they must've ripped that place down to the studs and started from scratch... new and clean but with a lot character - sweet woodwork on the bar and nice lighting. Decided to try this nearby place out last night. Great craft beer selection. Would have loved to sampled some, but our server only came to our table one time for a drink order. We had the pulled pork nachos and they were good. However, someone other than our server delivered them and we ate while our glasses remained empty. Very poor service. read more

Had brunch here today. It's a recently renovated bar with exposed cream city brick, beautiful bar and generally a cool atmosphere. Interesting beer and brunch menu. We ordered the breakfast cheeseburger, breakfast burrito, and quiche. Everyone liked or loved their food. One of us did a beer flight, which was fun and the rest of us had glasses of good, cold beer. We had good service and really enjoyed the place. We will be back. read more

My friend and I were only exploring Milwaukee for a day so we wanted to make sure that we picked a good spot to try this region favorite. AJ Bombers came up consistently ranked on top for really great burgers. We came on a weekday so parking was pretty easy, but it is metered street parking. The restaurant is located at the corner of a large building and since we arrived right at opening we were seated right away. We ordered the following -Cheese Curds $9 - These were delicious. Nice and crispy, almost had an airfried texture to it so it tasted healthier than others that I've tried -Bomb Butter Burger $14 - The meat was very juicy and overall a good burger -Milwaukee Burger $12.50 - This was a fantastic burger and I think I preferred this to the Bomb Butter Burger. The flavors were more balanced IMHO -Tater Tots and Fries: The burgers all came with a side and I enjoyed both! They were freshly fried and served hot. The tots made me feel really nostalgic since those were things I remember eating growing up. The unfortunate news is that this restaurant despite all the accolades will be closing later in 2025. It's served Milwaukee for 16 years and while I'm bummed that they'll be closing their doors later this year I'm glad that I got enjoy one of Milwaukee's best. If you get a chance to check them out their decor also has a lot of personality.

Izzy Hops has become a regular stop when I'm out on the east side!! At this point, if we don't stop for the giant pretzel and a round or two (or three) of drinks, someone's going to throw a fit! But no one's complaining. The space is comfortable, cozy, yet modern, and has something for everyone in my group. Having not known about Izzy Hops until maybe 10 months ago, I'm consistently surprised how many people I know adore this spot, although I really shouldn't be anymore now that I'm one of them! I love this place! Everytime I come here, the service is wonderful and welcoming. The food is awesome for the most part; the cheese curds are mediocre but the sandwiches and pizza make up for that. This the second time we've eaten here. The burgers are juicy, and the homemade chips are amazing. The food came quickly and still hot. My drink was perfect, it was smooth. The staff was friendly.
