I wish I would've snapped a few photos of the decor, but it was a winter wonderland in Bobby's! They were decked out for the holidays and had a toy drive going, as well. We arrived around 5:30 and there were a few tables left and the upstairs was not open, but there were also quite a few spots open at the bar. We were served right away and they had a lot of Thursday specials. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was delicious! My husband also loved his sandwich, which was the steak tenderloin on the specials list. The ranch was also exceptional and I am picky about ranch! Bobby's is a good place but you will have NO idea if it's going to be crazy busy until you arrive. Usually Friday fish fry is insane though. We couldn't even squeeze in at the bar, it was completely packed. The fish fry is good, and I've had the broasted chicken before which was very good. This time I got the Italian beef, but skipped the marinara it's supposed to come with. I love spice so I would've put more giardiniera on mine at home. I did like the homemade chips. read more

There was a party downstairs so we had to be seated upstairs which lacks ambiance. Service was great even though it was extremely busy. Unfortunately the chicken and burgers must have had liquid smoke. I can't stand the taste of it. It ruins the flavor of the meat. A little salt and pepper on an open flame or griddle is just fine. So if I come back I'd have to order something that they don't use it on or ask they don't use it. Disappointing when establishments use liquid smoke. read more

Bobby's is a great neighborhood spot! Right now it's really nicely decorated for the holidays. Stopped in on a Friday for a fish fry. We were seated quickly upstairs, which was toasty warm and quiet. Our server was friendly and attentive. They had an NA beer available, which is always a plus. We ordered a cod fish fry and a Reuben. Both were very generous portions for a reasonable price. The food came out quickly and was steaming hot. If I had a "complaint" it would be that the massive chunks of corned beef on my sandwich made it a little tricky to eat, so I needed to shred them with my fork, but it was tasty (pro tip - get the horseradish and the thousand island on the wide and mix them up for a zingy twist) on a classic Reuben). The fish fry was good - came with rye bread, slaw, choice of potato, and tartar sauce. The slaw had an apple cider vinegar-y tang, the tartar sauce was solid, and it came with a generous 4 pieces of cod. The potato pancakes were "ok" per my husband - they seemed to be a little dry and bland, even with the apple sauce. But overall it was a solid Friday fish fry and we'd go back! read more

Great spot to host a small get together. We hosted a bday party for a relative with about 25 people and it went really well. Would never go here again. Worst service ever from 2 old men. We were there for less than an hour and kicked us out at 11 on a Friday night. He said "ladies it is time to go" but they're open till 2am? And I asked when they closed to get verification and they said "whenever everyone leaves". So rude and weird I wouldn't recommend for anyone. I've been here before and had a wonderful bartender. But it actually made me upset. It was just the rudest and most uncomfortable experience. Even the other bartender working asked the man "don't you think that's a little rude". This just screams classic hometown bar! Family owned and operated, Bobby's is a local bar with affordable drinks, amazing staff, great parking, and a chill ambiance. The bartender Kenny was absolutely incredible; so attentive and you can tell he loves his job. The locals love him and Bobby (his dad, the owner). I met Bobby on my way out but he was such a delight too, truly the staff here makes Bobby's so homey and fun. It was also cutely decorated inside for Valentine's Day, I also heard from locals they decorate for every holiday. They have some slot machines and fun games you can play. We tried some food too and it was delicious for your standard bar food; the cheese curds and mozzarella sticks were both a 10/10. I have nothing bad to say about this humble, down-to-earth bar. This was a former work lunch spot from a previous job that has changed names and it is a complete new bar/restaurant so I thought that I would stop by and check them out. Bobby's bar actually has the owner named Bobby working the bar while I was there. It has a small dining area as you walk in with the bar in back and an upstairs patio with plenty of flat screens. The bar stools are awkward because they are to tall so you can't lean on the bar comfortably if you are tall. The menu is small with wings, burgers, sandwiches, salads, apps, Friday fish fry and weekly specials etc etc. I started with a Bloody Mary, spicy with an Octoberfest chaser which was good that has a handful of liquid ingredients that is shaken before being served that came with a good pickle, super average beef stick and two firm olives. I had the burger of the week cooked rare which was American cheese, lettuce, onions and 1000 island dressing which made me think of a Big Mac which is ok because I don't like Big Macs so maybe a real kinda like version will be ok. The burger looked good with a fresh egg wash bun and house chips that were not seasoned so I threw them away. The first thing you notice is the seasoned meat with a char grill flavor which was tasty, char grill flavor just is what good a burger should have. The toppings were fresh and that bun was fresh and perfect because it stood up to the rare meat and it was light, not dense so just right. If you like corn beef hash and eggs the guy next to me had an awesome smelling and looking breakfast plate with big chunks of corn beef, my couple of glances I didn't spot any potatoes unless they were on the bottom but it looked meaty. We were in the area looking for a place for a quick bite to eat and a Bloody Mary. Found the best around. Bobby's is intimate and cozy. There is a large bar area with several TVs along with lots of tables. The Bloody Mary was delicious and had all the garnishes. We shared the Nashville crispy hot chicken sandwich and chips, which was delicious. A good amount of spice without being overwhelming. The chips seemed to be made in house and had some parmasean on them. So delicious! Service was fast and personable. It looked like a local favorite. Our server Christel must really hate her job but a little effort would have been nice. Incredibly rude. Mad at us for picking 1 of 2 available tables because she didn't have time to clean it?
