I haven't been back to this J Acupuncture for almost 3 years. it was about 3 months ago I hurted my wrist by over twisting it. As usual I went to my family doctor who gave me an X-ray and prescription pain medication with no help. Next I went to massage therapist with little improvement. Then suddenly I remembered J Acupuncture as I have forgotten them. Til today I have finished my 5th visit and it seemed improve substantially compare to the other two previous treatments. Thank you Dr. Noh and your staff for providing a professional and effective service. There has been a very little to none wait time after checking in and I am impressed with the operation. Each session is $30 which is the same as my copay ($5 more than 3 year ago which is reasonable), however, I bought the package of $150 for 6 sessions. If you are like me who has been exhausted with western medicine, etc. please give this acupuncture a try and you will not be regretted. Good luck as we all needed it when in pain. read more

I have been treated recently. There are many reasons I love this place. First, service fees are very reasonable (it's cheaper to buy a package of 5 sessions with 1 free session). Second, their bed side manners are awesome. They make sure you feel comfortable and they patiently listen to your problems. Third, atmosphere and customer service are professional and caring. I'm treated by Dr. Han, Jong Hun. He's very gentle and patient. I'm scared with needles but his gentleness makes his needles magical . I don't feel pain at all . Other thing I love this place is receptionists and staffs, they are very sweet and polite to serve each patient professionally. There are many treatment options like diabetes, weight loss, cupping, facial care and more.... besides acupuncture . BELIEVE THE HYPE. I'm not going to go in great detail, as many other reviews here already have. I used Yelp to find J Acupuncture, and compared their reviews with many other local establishments. I have found true everything I read in the reviews you see here. Dr. Noh (acupuncture/treatment) & Dr. Han (acupressure/cupping) have made a difference in dealing with my back and hip issues. I should also mention their front office while busy (make appointments in ADVANCE-they fill up on a daily basis) is always polite and prompt in getting me to a bed. While it may bother some, the rooms are not private, but definitely separated by blinds. Understand that part of the reason they are so reasonable with their fees is because of the amount of business they do. My pain level is way down from when I started a month ago. I'll admit, I was an Eastern Medicine skeptic, and no longer am I. I recommend you give J Acupuncture a try! read more

Oddly I did read both the good and the bad reviews, I got a rude experience just talking to him. $100 "generally" for a session... So no set price? He laughed at me when I asked how much for not using electrical stimulation. I said just normal traditional is fine. He laughed and said maybe this place isn't for you and hung up the phone. More like if you don't want to have it done his way to have electricity running thru your body then he's not interested in you at all and is laughing rudely. If there were 10 stars I would give it to them!! My first time here yesterday with Dr Choo. I have been dealing with an old hip flexor injury for a year. It flares up every now and then but lately the pain has been radiating down to my shin and calf ( the fact that I refuse to give up workouts doesn't help) the pain flares up mainly when I'm sleeping or if I work out for too long or hike for longer than an hour. I'm not new to acupuncture therapy. I have had it in the past at other facilities with great results, but I have to say my experience yesterday surpassed all other treatments. Dr Choo knew exactly the areas that were causing discomfort and told me he'd have me pain free in two weeks time. I got acupuncture with E- stem and afterwards another physician ( I was laying down I could read his name tag) did scratch therapy ( which I've never had before) it's AMAZING!! Got the blood flowing and loosened up the treated area. If you have a tight T band I highly recommend this. When I was done he taped up my hip, T band and shin. I Woke up this morning pain free and when I press on my quads and T band I don't have the tightness and pain I had prior to therapy!!! I'm so thrilled and thankful to Dr Choo and staff. I was recommended to J Acupuncture over a year ago due to severe lower back pain. After trying other treatments, including shots in my back, I figured what do I have to lose. J Acupuncture has truly been a miracle in my life. Most of my pain was at night when I tried to sleep and I did not want to depend on pain medicine. All the doctors are excellent in my opinion. Have been ducking from getting surgery for my carpal tunnel for years. When pain and symptoms become unbearable I come here and get my therapy and I'm always back to no pain and fully able to use my affected hand/arm. Got the $125 package for 5 sessions. Dr . Noh works like magic. The staff are all friendly and professional. My husband and I have been coming here for 2 years now for various pain issues (back, neck , knees, ankles, shoulders, headache) and we would always come out of his office pain free. Plus, pricing is very affordable. They even have a package that you could purchase so you could save more $$. I highly recommend this place, but I suggest to call ahead of time to make an appointment as they could get pretty busy. read more

Dr Choo and his staff are amazing! I had been looking for an alternative way to treat my menstrual cramps that I've had for 15+ years. I normally have to take ibuprofen throughout the day or else I wouldn't be able to work or sleep. I found J acupuncture, read the reviews, and saw that their prices are very reasonable compared to other clinics and thought it doesn't hurt to give it a try. After about 4 or 5 sessions that were not painful at all and pretty comfortable, I now have lighter periods and don't really need Ibuprofen anymore. I also have more energy and more mental clarity and sharpness than before. The staff are very friendly and efficient and it's been a good experience. The only thing is I had some stomach issues that I'm not sure was related to acupuncture but they went away after I stopped the sessions so if it's a side effect it went away. As a physician assistant who was trained in western medicine, this really took me by surprise and I'm so glad I tried it. read more

Affordable yes.... effective not so much. Basically this place gets you to sign up to a package of 6 sessions and then slot you into the farming system they have. I understand they are cheap and have to have lots of customers but to be honest it just felt like they were trying to hit you with a lot of different things and hoping one of them sticks. They did acupuncture, acupressure, moxi, cupping and none of it worked. Shame because i had a great acupuncture session a few month ago. I believe in the treatment model just didn't work for me. ***Update*** Dr Choo was kind enough to refund me for the cost of the sessions. I am sure his treatment works for 99% of his patients. I believe his commitment to his patients also means he is a great practitioner. I had success with acupuncture before and believe in the methodology, however maybe my problem needs a different modality to achieve a resolution. Awesome customer service from J Acupuncture though. Not sure why but front desk treated me like second class citizen and they missed on targeting the areas I had issues with- left with more pain than when I went in because they had me on my side the entire time even though neck was main issue which caused neck to be in a really bad position the entire time. Felt like they didn't listen at all to issues and only exasperated them! Daughter and wife had better experience but they are female and Philippina I am white male so either it's a man/woman thing or a race issue because they had much more attention given and a higher level of treatment.. mine was hurry and pay and go! read more

J Acupuncture is Great- cheap prices, great acupuncture, friendly, - I can't say enough about this place! They have herbal, and female issue specialists and their general acupuncturist, Dr. Choo has helped me enormously. The receptionist, Jennifer is always smiling, - they spend so much time and detail on you that you feel spoiled. It really is a good place. I spent over $2K at another place doing acupuncture that didn't work for me 36 sessions of just needles and herb pills to try and get rid of my dizziness and help my paralysis from a stroke I endured August 2016. Helped only a little bit. But nothing substantial. I'm still DIZZY and paralysis not better. J Acupuncture charges only $35 first visit Wow! $25 every visit afterwards, Incredible! A year ago, I had a chronic knees pain for 6 months after I sprain my right knees during work out. After i tried different doctors, specialists but the pain on my knee was till there. One of the foot Doctor told me that I may need surgery. I decided not to have surgery. Then my sister introduced me Dr. Cho and J Accupunture. After 2 months of acupuncture treatments by Dr. Choo and some of his colleagues. My knees went back to normal. I no longer have any pain on my knees. Dr. Cho was very gentle with the needles. Haha call it synchronicity but I like that all their names start with "J" lol (and their office number is my birth month and day) lol. Aside from that, I saw Dr. Jae, very friendly guy, recommended for my chronic pain issues appropriately and he even said to me "even if you can't come (here) for treatment, you can research other acupuncturists in your area, they don't have to be 'Asian trained' lots of American acupuncturists are able to do your treatment also." I was expecting "come to me exclusively" bit, but he was so caring he actually suggested getting treatment closer to my new town vs. not being consistent with self care. If you have the "trigger finger" like I did, acupuncture can help! I let my trigger thumb untreated for almost seven weeks before seeking treatment! So, my trigger thumb was locked in the straight position. My primary physician had to order a steroid injection. Two weeks before my appointment, I decided to try acupuncture. The treatment started with acupuncture needles and electric stimulation, following was burning treatment and massage. After four sessions, I was able to move my trigger thumb a little. I believed if I had my trigger thumb treated with the acupuncture early when it just started a few days, I can avoid the steroid injection! Dr. Choo is kind and caring! He cares for his patient. I came to the clinic just to expect to have my left thumb treated but Dr. Choo treated my right hand as well. I noticed the soreness and stiffness on my right hand, since I used it a lot due to the compensation. I didn't tell Dr. Choo but he already knew! For that, I am grateful! My both hands are well now! I moved to Huntington Beach from LA for a job and need to find a good TCM/acupuncturist who also liquid TCM med, powder method as well as other modalities for physical treatment like dry/wet cupping, Tui na and acupressure/theraputic massage. I found J Acupuncture unique because it's a fact once session can't cure and these docs offer $25/session so you can come multiple times to get the healing done right. Wow, I've not met any TMC does what these docs do. These docs work all together to give each patient everthing. Dr. Noh is whom I picked. Taught traditionally in Korea and US taught both ways. Great bedside manners, professional and each doc explains. My dad got old so he kept bruising me when he needled me and he passed away so I really needed a doc.
