Well J Alexander's never disappoints. It was my daughter's birthday had a reservation for 7:00 and was seated quickly. Ordered a few martinis which were made perfectly. We started with a salmon dip that was very tasty. I ordered Cypress Salad with crispy chicken, avocado with cornbread croutons so yummy. My husband ordered the prime rib with mash potatoes. Cooked to perfection pink and moist. Potatoes were buttery and piled high. Lastly the birthday girl ordered Palermo chicken which was fried with goat cheese sun dried tomatoes served with Couscous and broccoli. For dessert we shared a slice of their famous carrot cake served warm and fresh. So good!!!!! Service was spot on. My husband had to take a phone call outside and his dish was getting cold. J's is purely amazing. Came here for a happy hour with co-workers and this place did not disappoint. When you walk in you have a big area and the hostess is there to welcome you in. The place is somewhat dim but decorated nicely with lights all around. You have a view of the bar and the kitchen which is really cool because you see them making the food fresh. They had Mahi Mahi as their catch of the day. It comes with 2 sides - I chose the loaded smashed potatoes and the butternut squash. The sauce on top was light creamy and had capers on top the fish was grilled perfectly and tasted amazing. The loaded smashed potatoes have actual chunks of bacon on it, some pieces are really crispy and gave the potatoes a nice crunch. They give you a big serving of potatoes which is great. Now the butternut squash was beyond amazing it had cinnamon on top and it paired perfectly with the Mahi and the potatoes. One piece was a bit undercooked but that's ok! Still a great plate overall. Staff really believes in teamwork everyone comes around grabbing plates, asking if you need anything and just overall very attentive. Such a nice place to visit. Can't wait to come back! read more

Who knew that I would love this place? My team gave me a gift card for my birthday in June and I didn't make it there until October! The service was top notch and the vibe in the restaurant was very chic and chill. We had the deviled eggs as our appetizer. They were perfect! For my main course, I had the baby back ribs with the NYO mac and cheese and coleslaw. The ribs were tender and delicious, with a light and mildly sweet fruit based bbq sauce. Mmmmmm! The NYO (Not Your Ordinary) mac and cheese was also very good. The coleslaw was perfectly done. Very fresh and the dressing was light and sweet without being overpowering. So so good! Prime Rib is why we go here, today we ordered the prime upgraded from standard 12 oz to add 3oz = 15oz , a thicker cut. The order was for a temperature of medium rare, while the cooking temp seemed correct, the fatty content of the meat seemed extra lean, which made the meat tougher than normally expected for a prime rib. The house salad, with Blue cheese, very large, enough to share The Craft Ale beer from local brewery Funky Buddha was nice. The mound of smashed potatoes were exceptional. The hot carrot cake w/ frosting always good. Ambiance lighting is cozy & nice, but could not hear any music, because of the busy noise dining room, annoying to hear the next table loud conversations. One of the greatest steaks I've had and it's super close to me. I would leave the review at that if I could! The staff was super friendly and we were seated almost as soon as we walked in by some friendly hostesses! The interior of the restaurant is very nice and they have a central seating location as well as a couple steps uo and then more booths around the edges of the place. The lighting is very nice and it's the perfect spot between bright and dim. Our waitress was super friendly and took our orders super fast. We decided to get the deviled eggs for an appetizer. They were heavenly and the bacon bit one the top was sweet and gave it a nice crunch. The filling was light as well and flavorful without being too creamy. For my main, I ordered the steak and fries, medium rare. It came out rather quick, cooked PERFECTLY. The steak cut beautifully and the butter sauce they use on top was divine. Everything about it was superb and I even had leftovers because of how big it was. For dessert we got the carrot cake. It was amazing and now I see why it's their best selling. It took a little to receive but that's because it was as if it was cooked personally. It was so moist and the flavor was wonderful with the nuts and shredded carrots in it. Had an excellent lunch here with my son and I'm already looking forward to going back! We started with the deviled eggs which were very good and I had the French dip and he had the steak 'n fries. My French dip was one of the best I've ever had. It was loaded with rare roast beef and it had some horseradish sauce on it. The au jus for dipping was perfectly seasoned and so delicious. It came with a pile (literally a pile) of shoestring fries that was perfectly seasoned and crispy. My son really enjoyed his steak and it was cooked to the perfect temperature. We both ended up bringing half of our meals home. For dessert we ordered the carrot cake which was served warm. This was the best carrot cake I've ever eaten, the cream cheese frosting was to die for! It was such a huge piece we ended up taking most of it home for later. Definitely make a reservation. The place was busy. Our friends arrived and waited in their car for our meeting time to get closer to reserve a table just before us arrived. They found out when they went in, it would be an hour wait. So we waited the hour va going somewhere else. The bar was packed. Our waitress was super hyped and excited about telling us about the specials. I forgot her name unfortunately. The place is loud however once seated, we were able to hear each other. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed what they had. Ribs, salads, baked potatoes, fish all great! The creamed spinach was not edible. It was awful. We enjoy creamed spinach and this was not it. One bite and I knew not to eat it. The server removed it off the bill. I let her know about the terrible flavor, however she said she asked the kitchen and this was their special they made. I came here on a Thursday night after work with my room mate because we were craving a martini. I have heard about this spot from friends and co workers for years and had never actually made it there. When we arrived it was busy but we were able to get into a bar table. I had a dirty martini and she had a lavandar one. I liked mine but loved the olives. When the waitress came over she told us the daily specials and we opted to get one of the speacials which was the salmon dip. It came out in 2 mins and it was was a cold salmon dip. As an often solo business traveler, I sit at the bar for dinner a lot, and the staff here understands how to get a drink in your hand fast, unlike so many other places that don't understand how to make money and happy people. We were five for an early dinner. Three people, including two grandchildren and a grandmother, couldn't finish their entrée because there was something disagreeable in their food, though it wasn't very obvious. The grandson, a burger lover, thought his tasted funny. The granddaughter had steak, slaw, and a Diet Coke; the grandmother had ribs, slaw, and a Diet Coke. As we were leaving, the grandmother felt nauseous, her eyes hurt, she thought it might be T.I.A., but it passed after we reached our car. Broccoli was seasoned with something that was not all that enjoyable, strong vinegar taste. Believe the food was over priced for the quality it was. The food, service and environment were all fantastic. We tried the devils egg as an appetizer and it had a crunch and were very large. I ordered a round of them as part of my meal and a chicken pasta soup. The soup was creamy and had rigatoni style pasta. Someone else tried the crab cakes and enjoyed them as well. The burger was also good and both those meals came with skinny fries, which just went great with the meal. We ended sharing the 4 desserts they had and of course everyone had a different favorite. When our waitress came back, she had a candle lit on it as a nice gesture for it being our anniversary.
