Though my lunch was enjoyable and the service was good, I didn't find anything special about the food. I liked that they gave us a complimentary small loaf of grilled bread and the sundried tomato oil was good, but it needed a little salt and pepper added. We ordered a lunch special Gyro with fries. The Gryo tasted fresh and was a good portion for the price. The fries lacked any seasoning and when I asked for a spicy sauce, if they had, I was given a bottle of Tabasco. Not really the authenticity I was looking for. We also ordered the Lahmacun which is like two round flat chopped beef cheeseless thin crust pizzas with a sliced tomato, red onion, and lemon garnish. We were not sure how the garnish should be used so we just sprinkled it around, folded the Lahmacun and took bites. It was good and I would order that again as it is very good for sharing. The decor inside is beautiful with all the colorful hanging glass bulbs. I also loved the Mediterranean floor tiles. Their lunch crowd seemed pretty steady and the kitchen got all the food out in a timely manner.

I usually visit Anthony's for a quick Saturday lunch, but this weekend I decided to try Alacati Mediterranean Restaurant, and I'm so glad I did. The menu was displayed outside, allowing me to browse and find dishes to my liking before entering. Upon walking in, I was struck by the restaurant's beautiful interior. There were two gentlemen working, and it was evident that they had invested significantly in creating a welcoming atmosphere. I chose to sit at the bar and ordered the arugula salad with chicken on top. It was absolutely delicious. Next time, I would consider getting twice the amount of chicken because it was so flavorful. The bread served alongside was also really good, I can't believe I ate the entire loaf. Although I intended to stay on the healthy side, after hearing the dessert options described, I couldn't resist and indulged in one. No regrets there! During my visit, I had the pleasure of chatting with the manager, Tunc, who was very welcoming and nice. I'm so happy that they are in the neighborhood. They have another location that has been around for four years in Hollywood. Please support our local businesses!!!

Alacati is a beautiful restaurant that has tables that are different sizes and finishing but somehow it all ties together and looks wonderful. The staff were spot on when it came to service. They Cabernet was served in a large wine glass and one was more than enough. It was nice that they had Peligrino water as well. The appetizer platter had hummus, eggplant with tomato, beans, baba ghanoush , and tzatziki sauce. It was good but nothing tasted special. The platter came with pita triangles and focaccia bread. The grilled octopus was good but lacked flavor. Islands Taverna and Theos make it much better. It came with an arugula salad that had the most perfect lemon dressing. I had an espresso to finish off the meal. Next time I will have to try their desserts.

We are back for dinner after a wonderful lunch here the other day. We began with sashouka that is eggplant based with myriad of flavors and components. Served cold, vegetables only, and very enjoyable. Then we had the dorado which was a whole fish that was huge. With a large side salad, it was inexpensive for what it was. It was cooked perfectly, and came with burnt lemon to drizzle over it. We rounded out yhe meal chicken kabob, an d bulgar wheat side. Moist tender chicken with grilled flavor, and the bulgar wheat added nice contrast. This is a great restaurant that deserves attention.

The food transported us to Turkey! The quality and selection on the menu was excellent. The service was great as well, warm and welcoming. The lamb chops were delicious and the lahmacun is a must have! Lucky we found this place. Enjoy!

Authentic. Food is well-prepared. For Turkish food lovers this is a must try. It's about the quality of ingredients and I am impressed! Service is prompt and friendly. Ambiance is like a seaside Turkish restaurant.

My family and I decided to try Alacati for a quick dinner on Sunday and we were pleasantly surprised. This restaurant location used to be a different place (sushi I think) that rarely had business, but I was delighted to see that a Turkish restaurant had taken the spot. I read great reviews about the falafel so I wanted that to start. I chose the lamb meat plate (Adana) with bulgar rice, tomato and pepper. My brother had the snapper fish that came out piping hot (good) and my mom had the gyro meat platter. For dessert, mom and I had the kunefe sweet cheese. Everything was delicious. The place is decorated so lovely - colorful lamps above everyone. I didn't get to do the bathroom vibe check but my mom said it was clean. The only thing that was a setback was that when the sugar box was brought to the table, we noticed it had a few ants, we told them right away and the server immediately took it away. Other than that, it was a good experience and can't wait to return.

Brand new in Plantation area. Has lots of potential. We tried the mixed grill platter (included chicken and lamb chop and meat patties. and we each had a salad - a Cesar and a Greek. They serve a very tasty bread and dipping tomato oil when you sit down. We had a dessert and not sure what it was. Kunefe?? It was different. Big menu and lots to try when we come back. Waiter was friendly. Nice atmosphere and hoping they do well. They will have entertainment (live music and belly dancing) in the future...

We had a great experience from beginning to end. Upon entering, the first thing you notice is all the beautiful Turkish lights. It is decorated very nicely and feels like you're in the Mediterranean. The waiter approached us promptly and recommended some things on the menu. He brought bread with an olive oil dip. It was very good. We ordered hummus dip. It came in a bowl with more than enough to feed at least a small group. It was a little more of a soupy texture than any hummus I've ever had, but it was still good. We also tried the Greek salad. It was so yummy. It was more than enough for two. There were huge chunks of feta. Delicious! We ordered the lamb chops. They came with four to an order. They were seasoned very well, had lots of meat on them, and were cooked perfectly. We also had the flounder filet. It says on the menu that it's served with a creamy mushroom sauce. It's actually more of an oil based sauce with mushrooms. It was delicious! After dinner, we tried the baklava. It came with a few cut pieces. It was sweet and nutty, and I highly recommend it. I ended up going back a few days later with a group of friends. Everyone loved their dishes! This will definitely be one of our new local go-to restaurants.

I came here on a whim because it was next to my hotel. The food is absolutely delicious!!! My friend and I got the hummus (with free pita) and shrimp scampi (with free rice). The portion was perfect to split between two people, and I cannot emphasize just how delicious the shrimp is!!! The sauce is to die for. We cleaned our plates. Highly highly recommend!!!

Even if you don't like Mediterranean food, you should come here just for the lamps. They are so beautiful. The decor will make you feel like you're not in Florida anymore, Toto. I tried their Mediterranean beer. It's really good. The gentlemen who waited on us were very nice. We ordered the mousaka and the minced lamb platter. There's plenty of parking. $70 something for the two of us. No room for dessert. Go check them out!

Excellent food, all fresh, amazing flavors. The place is astonishing, Turkish decoration. Warm and welcoming staff, they make you feel like part of the place. I highly recommend this place, specially if you are looking for a mediterranean culinary experience.

I politely asked if the seasoning could simply be left off due to an allergy, and my request was refused. Rather than accommodating a simple dietary restriction, I was told that the dish wouldn't taste the way the chef intended. While I understand wanting to preserve the intended flavor, customer health and safety should come first--especially when dealing with allergies. I find it concerning that no effort was made to accommodate a reasonable request or even ask about the severity of the allergy. In today's restaurant industry, flexibility and customer care are important. Unfortunately, I found the service to be very unaccommodating, and given the high prices, I expected much better. Course one - Crab and avocado salad paired with Sparkling Cucumber Martini. The salad was a creamy mixture of avocado, lump crab, mango, and diced bell peppers on a bed of fresh spinach. Crispy tortilla chips was added for crunch. The martini was nice and light with a sparkling crisp taste. Course two - Scallop and shrimp scampi pasta paired with Lychee Martini. This was a very good dish. Nicely cooked shrimp and scallops tossed with all dente linguine in a light butter white wine sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed the lychee martini which was sweet and absolutely delicious. Course three - Mediterranean salmon paired with Island Breeze Martini. This was a filling dish. The salmon was nicely grilled and topped with sautéed spinach, feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and pickled onions; served with Jasmine rice and grilled asparagus. The martini was well-balanced with the vodka and various fruit juices (mango, passion fruit, and pineapple) without being overly sweet. Course four - Mixed berry mousse cake paired with Strawberry Rose Sidecar Martini. Moist, decadent cake layered with berry puree and coconut anglaise. In my opinion, the martini was too strong for a light dessert. It would have been best paired with a surf & turf dish. The whole event was well put together by the pleasant staff who made sure each transition between the courses ran smoothly and the removal of the empty dishes and glasses, as well as refilling the water glass was done in a timely manner.
