Since chicken parm is my go to meal I figured it would be a good test for this new establishment.

First impression walking in, the place is beatifully decorated. It is tasteful and elegant yet inviting and family friendly. My first stop was to the restroom and I gotta say, the place looked spotless which gives you a sense of confidence in the cleanliness of the environment. I also noticed that it is a very large and open space which would be a perfect venue to celebrate any occasion as a big group. When I walked in I noticed that it was a lively and warm ambiace tha makes you feel comfortable to be there. The food: The food was great! Very tasty and fresh. I had the big boy burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was delicious and tho I knew it included jalapeños, I was surprised at how spicy it was. When I looked, it had big pieces of jalapeños w some seeds. No wonder it was too hot, not the jar jalapeños. I took some of it out and enjoyed the whole thing. I didn't finish my fries because they were soggy. No crunch at all. My date on the other hand, ordered a churrasco with yuca fries. The bartender messed up his order and brought him what is called "Portuguesa Churrascaria" which includes grilled skirt steak, pork chop, chicken, and chorizo with moro rice and sweet plantains. Tho it was not what he ordered, he was glad they served him that. It was delicious. It was nicely seasoned, nicely plated and overall very satisfying. Big serving! The yuca fries was dissapointing as I was expecting more of the typical latin crunchy yuca fries where it is first boiled and then fried. This was more like yuca puree, breaded and fried...think mozzarella sticks. Overall this place is worth visiting. Bring your date, bring your friends, bring yo mama, bring your kids, impress your clients...whatever! just visit, you wont regret it. Staff, very friendly and attentive and Plenty of free parking outside!

A lovely local "breakfast-style" diner - smaller menu, shorter hours, smaller restaurant overall -…read morebut a hidden gem in downtown New City overall. As others have noted, they just expanded to include dinner hours some days, but we showed up for lunch and were seated right away. Menu isn't super huge, so I settled in the Burger area and noticed right away the price discrepancies. Deluxe burgers (with fries) typically cost $2 more than regular (without). Except the pizza burger costs $3 more and the cheddar chili burger costs $1 more. Dear Little Diner: Fix that. Make the fries $2 and call it a day. Once I discovered my ladyfriend was ordering a dish that automatically came with fries even though she didn't want them, I decided I would just order a regular. Bacon & Bleu Cheeseburger, add avocado. I love those flavors, but here's another problem in the menu. It says: (1/2 Ib. Burger) Made from 100% Pure, Fresh Beef Served w/ Cole Slaw, Pickles, Lettuce & Tomato Deluxe Served w/ French Fries. Add Avocado 1.99 And then under the list of burgers: Burger Add-Ons Bacon, Avocado or Sautéed Mushrooms $2.99 Extra So which would it be? I asked and the waitress said $1.99, so I went for it. Turns out that, as I rather suspected, the avocado was billed at $2.99. Maybe - MAYBE - it's $1.99 if you order it with the fries, but why only the avocado? I brought this up and they agreed to cut the $1 off my bill since the menu indeed has this ambiguity. They were very nice about it, so just maybe that was put back into their tip. (: So, dear Little Diner: Also fix that. Just delete the little Avocado bit at the beginning. Ambiance: Nice breakfast place. Service: Very friendly and accommodating. Food: Worth coming back for. The only drawback is inconsistent menu pricing... so just ask if anything is unclear. I'll have to come back with a breakfast hankering next time and try that side of the menu.

Located in a small plaza with 7-11 and a few other small stores, we were greeted right away upon entering. There were a few customers but it was not packed which meant we got a booth, yay. The waiter informed us of the specials, most of which I hesitate to order at a diner: paella, octopus, steak, etc. The menu is plentiful with the usual items as well as more Spanish dishes like empanadas, Spanish breakfast, etc. The Italian vegetable panini with salad was not bad but it was odd that the salad had the same ingredients as the panini (sans portobellos), leaving the while dish feeling one note. The burger was the typical diner burger. Overall pricing was okay, given rising costs, though some of the entrees were $25-30+, which i wouldn't do. I wonder what the Spanish dishes would have tasted like because perhaps those are their stars. Service was attentive, though it felt like they were trying to make this more into an elevated experience vs. what it was. I did like the bathrooms a little better than other diners, and I felt pretty comfortable in the little restaurant space.

Got a triple-decker chicken cutlet sandwich, which was pretty good. Sister got a chicken and eggplant thing on a pita. Also OK. The portions were generous. The waffle and regular fries were standard diner fries, which is a good thing. Now for the chili. It is straight up marinara bolognese. I guarantee this is the exact same stuff they serve on spaghetti. They just throw some cheddar on it and serve it next to some chips. Pretty bad. Other than that, not bad. Again, should have gotten the omelet

The Burg Loft hit me with some lofty burgsquirt this time around. So lofty and luscious that I had to return to update my review. I rarely do that, it's so rare that you'd call it raw. Hit em with a claw. Chomping down at the jaw I roar a raw roar of surprise and roar so joyous in nature that it reminds a chicken that it was once a Tyrannosaurus rex. Always remember who you really are under that grease ball facade you keep. The years have served ya well, Burger Loft. This classic was scrumptious. One of the best double smashed I've had. Not overly salty, not overly greasy, not too crisp, not undercooked, super juicy, great taste, perfect amount of cheese and a nice homemade sauce on a solid but undemanding bun. I love an undemanding bun that deserves some funk and crunk out of some quality meat. Woof woooooooooof. Awooooooo. Oh no. The blue moon beckons me. I must wrap this up quickly - You won't like me when the clock strikes midnight. Simple. Traditional. A classic. Burger Loft - A true BILF. A fine wine. It was nice to see you again, babe, and I hope you thought the same. Price to quality ratio is a 5 star... tastiness itself still a Yelp 5 rounded up. I'm proud of you - be proud of yourself. You earned the uptick in stardom. Look forward to our next disco, be prepared to get groovy.
