I had a problem with clogged drain/main sewer line. This vendor was referred to me but wasn't provided any info about it. I phoned in for service and responded to pretty quickly. After short queries about my problem, Luis Rodriguez (the owner), committed to come to my property within 45 minutes to check on the situation. He arrived with his wife promptly (husband & wife team) with their equipment and tools. Luis began to drain the line. Unfortunately, the snake stopped passing through and sensed a big problem. We requested Luis to use the camera ($250 fee) to determine the cause and extent of the problem. At real time, we could see on the camera the exact locations and nature of the clogs . Luis presented the options to resolve our problem. Based on our needs, we chose the Hydro Jet process which was completed in about 2 hrs. The cost of the job is very reasonable, which could give us peace of mind for at least 2 years. We're very happy with this vendor: very professional, punctual, honest in dealing with us. I had been dealing with a busted electric water heater for several days. I called a couple of plumbing and electric services but no one could give me a clear answer as to what the underlying issue was. I called J&L and let them know my problem. They arrived to my home within 45 minutes of my call and got to work. They thoroughly looked at my water heater; I mean wiring, control panel and even my main power box. They were able to diagnose the problem and got to work. Very professional, clean and polite. Tiny details that made me feel that these are true professionals. They went out of their way to find parts that I needed by going to several stores (from downey, to paramount and beyond). Something as small as putting on boot/shoe covers, asking permission to enter the home and showing me the part (in my case a tiny tiny tiny fuel capsule) that was causing the problem. It's Christmas morning and I took my shower...went to turn it off and it wouldn't shut off. The knob just stopped working. I had a full blown meltdown and knew it would be nearly impossible to find someone to help on Christmas morning. So me and my boyfriend started YouTubing and taking everything apart. Nothing worked. Cannot thank these guys enough for all of the work that they did. Before buying our first home, we knew that we were going to need some serious repairs to the entire drainage system. We got a couple of other quotes, but Luis was offering the best service for the best price. After each day, Luis would update me on what they got done, what the next steps are, and when he would be there next, which I very much appreciated. We had purchased a new washer and dryer and needed to have the 30+ year old water outlets replaced before the appliances were delivered. We only had a few days between the purchase and the delivery, so it had to be done quickly. Luis set up an appointment within a day which was a great relief. He and his brother showed up on time, and as promised, both wore masks the entire time they were here. For us, this was a sticking point as both my wife and I have immune issues. The work required replacing the laundry box which held the cold and hot water outlets as well as the drain. Cutting out a section of drywall was also necessary in order to access the piping. They did an excellent job of replacing the old outlets with new and upgraded plumbing, and repairing the drywall. I can't even tell where they made the cuts! All that was left for me to do was to repaint that section. Over all, I was very happy with the communication, quality of the work, and the fact that he actually listened to and answered any questions that I had. Highly recommend these guys! They came same day and did excellent work clearing out our clogged drains from root infestation and corroded pipes. He showed me live video of the camera going through the pipes and how bad the roots were, and showed me after he was finished clearing them. Night and day difference. He even had some specialty tools that most big name plumbing companies don't use, like the right hydro jetter attachment for 2in pipes. All other companies I tried before him said they didn't have the right tools for 2in pipes and tried to get us to re pipe everything. Highly recommend Luis at J&L plumbing. Even though our main line was in need of an overhaul, they didn't oversell it. So we agreed to a regular preventative maintenance schedule where they will just check up on periodically.
