Their drinks are pretty cheap, especially the 2/$5 Jell-O shots. They didn't seem to have any flavors except watermelon, which was fine. I got a margarita as well. the flavors were pretty good and I love a bartender with a heavy hand. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that the space is excessively friendly. Just note that you will have to go up the stairs in order to get in.

Upon going to enter the Pig's Eye Pub on 4/17/2026 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Eric Drouin, who…read morewas stationed at the door, indicated to me that I was not allowed to bring my service dog in the establishment. I informed you that because my dog is a service animal, she is permitted under ADA to accompany me in all public places. Charlie Brown, who was also at the door, then asked me the appropriate questions allowed under ADA, and after I responded, allowed me to enter the establishment with my service dog. However, after maybe 30 minutes, Mr. Brown approached me and asked that I leave the premises and return without my service dog. I declined this request since my service dog was not misbehaving in any way, barking incessantly or at all, and not being disruptive to any other patrons. After about another 30 minutes, Mr. Drouin approached me with Mr. Brown and demanded that I leave because according to him my dog was too young to be a service animal and therefore must be in training, and I was being disruptive by talking to patrons who asked me about my dog. I informed Mr. Drouin he was incorrect, that my service dog is fully trained to provide the service for which she is required, and the law does not prohibit me from interacting with patrons who approach me about my dog. He and Mr. Brown still demanded that I leave. I was with a group of five other people who all witnessed all of these exchanges. We all departed the establishment at that time. I have filed an official complaint #758150-TWD with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division for this violation of 28 CFR Sec. 36.302(c). This violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act can result in civil penalties up to $75,000 for a first offense and $150,000 for a subsequent offense. Despite me informing these ignorant and insolent employees of this, they still demanded that I leave. I will also be filing a complaint with the State of Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities for this violation of CT General Statutes Sec. 46a-44 & 46a-64, which is a class C misdemeanor, which Mr. Drouin and Mr. Brown will be individually charged. I will also be contacting Mr. James Verano, the listed Principal for Pig's Eye Pub, and Mr. William (Bill) Morrissey, the listed Managing Member regarding these federal and state violations. I will also have my personal attorney contact Reid and Riege, PC, the listed agent for Pig's Eye Pub. Being denied service while accompanied by a service animal is illegal, humiliating, and emotionally draining experience that no one should have to endure. What these imbecilic employees did was not only illegal but morally reprehensible.

Awesome! Our server Jeremy was professional and efficient. We got a couple coffees to start with to try to get us over the coast-to-coast time difference and also to warm up (it had been a brisk windy 48 degrees all morning!) Then we ordered a Farmer's salad with blackened chicken and the Bangers and mash. The food came out maybe 25-30 minutes later, oh and worth the wait! Because the blackened chicken was piping hot, I wish it had been slightly to the side of the spring mix lettuce so that the salad would be a bit crisper but the flavors were wonderful. It came with a balsamic vinaigrette. My husband's Bangers and Mash included garlicky mashed potatoes, a rich thick mushroom gravy, and flavorful sausages, all on a bed of vegetables. Mmm super satisfying. Cozy welcoming ambience. Reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food I think.

The place also has a bar offering a variety of cocktails and margaritas. I visited during a Yelp event, and my friend and I decided to give the tacos a try. We ordered the Birria Tacos, which arrived in about 15 minutes. The tacos looked appetizing, but as soon as we took a bite, we found them overly salty. The sauces on top were flavorful and helped balance the meat's saltiness. While the tacos were rich in flavor, the saltiness was a bit overwhelming. The staff was friendly, and if I were in the area again, I might explore other options from the menu.

While I do have a social media following, I came in like anyone else as a paying customer. The restaurant had no idea that I was coming in, and this was as honest as it gets. I would have previously suggested this spot as a decent meal before a show at The Bushnell, but with an attitude like that, I will never recommend this spot. The owner seems very fixated on the menu prices that I called out (and I'm not the first to have mentioned it if you read other reviews), and while I can understand he may have his own justifications for the prices, we have gone to plenty of Mexican restaurants with better quality at a better price. We're not averse to paying for good quality, but unfortunately this didn't meet the mark for us, and I won't be bullied out of deleting my review. I stand on what I said and will always provide honest reviews. Original: My husband and I stopped in Sol Y Luna for Taco Tuesday. Really cool ambiance with local contemporary art for sale. The menu had some solid choices, though it was much more expensive than we were expecting. I'm not usually one to get hung up on prices, but 3 carne asada tacos were $29 and my husband's fajitas were $55!! For the price point I would have hoped for better quality. The fajitas didn't even come out sizzling, and we both thought our steak was gristly. The guac needed more salt (and I never add salt to anything), and the queso was very thin and seemed like melted down American cheese. The drinks were good, and the complimentary salsa was our favorite part of the meal. I do have to commend the service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the food arrived quickly from the kitchen. We appreciated that we were in and out within an hour, so I can see why it would make for a good dining option before a show at the Bushnell.
