This is my family's go-to Korean BBQ for a few years now. Starting off with the the only con I can think of just to get it out the way: Aesthetic, it is not the prettiest, if you like something a little cuter and pretty good I recommend Bakkung. Ok to the positives: they have the best marinated steak, I love that it comes as a whole steak and not cut up and their short ribs are delicious as well. Everything tastes pretty nice quality and I love the sides: the corn cheese and pasta salad in particular. The staff is for the most part pretty friendly, I love the Polaroid I think it's such a cute touch and they always leave you with a sweet treat on your way out. Still has not managed to be outranked for the price point. Definitely worth a try! read more

I'm a little shocked reading the reviews. I've been at this restaurant two times now as a return customer and I've had more than pleasant experiences both times! The staff is incredibly friendly and they're very good about waiting on our table. The last time I went, it was my son's birthday and they did the CUTEST bday celebration + song playing for him. Lights off and everything (sorry to spoil the surprise). Other tables engaged in the celebration and it truly made our day. The meat is good and I enjoy all of their sides. We came on a Sunday and although it says 11AM opening time on Yelp, it's actually opens at 12PM. This is my first time at an All You Can Eat (AYCE) and all you can DRINK KBBQ spot. You do need 4+ people to participate, otherwise you can just go with the normal AYCE. It was definitely worth $52.99, we got many bottles of soju and beers! The AYCE and drink comes with the C menu and my favorite meat was definitely the Beef Short Rib LA Galbi cooked medium rare... sooo soft. I also enjoyed the Prime Steak and Corn Cheese. Previously gave this place 5 stars. But today I have decided to redact that positive review. I few years ago I lived on Berendo (a few blocks away). And this was my go-to spot. I probably came here 2-3 times a month. And I came ALONE for the all you can eat. (Usually getting the most expensive option). Now, living downtown, and missing the place... I decided to swing by the old neighborhood.... I was hungry!! But I was rejected at the door because I came alone. They now have a policy to not serve singles. The place was dead, with about 20 open tables, and from what I can tell the kitchen was ridiculously over staffed. (Looked like an In-N-Out back there). It appears they forgot how to manage a restaurant, and have started a policy which doesn't help anyone. I talked to the manager, explained that I'm an old regular, but she didn't care. I went across the street and found a new KBB place. They served me (as a single) with no hesitation. Honestly it was better. I discovered a new spot!! So I'm happy everything happened the way it did. Not my forte and just bland fillers. BF really liked the meat. The server was helpful in suggesting which were better choices and of course the best ones are limited to one PP). I thought the veggies were on point. Squash, mushroom, hottty jalapenos, green peppers, zuchinni. Best part was chocopie when you leave and pay!!! $46 w tip for 2 people.
