Came here on a Saturday for lunch around 12:30pm, were able to get seated right away. $39/person for the standard AYCE. Service was good, portions are somewhat on the smaller side (we had a group of 6). You can order meats in groups of 3. Grill changes were offered & done throughout. Was bummed to see some of the normal sides that come with AYCE were offered à la carte and required an upcharge. Ambiance was what you would expect at an AYCE. Lots of seating options. We came here on a weekend evening after checking in online and waiting in a queue of like 3 other parties and we felt like the wait was relatively short, around 10-15 minutes. It's nice because you can check in online and there's parking readily available. We had tried to go to another Korean bbq place nearby with more vegetarian options but that place was a 90-minute wait, so we came here instead. Our servers changed halfway through, but the process itself was fine. They kept replenishing our sauces, veggies, and meat throughout the night. They also had more vegetarian dishes like kimchi fried rice for an extra surcharge ($4). They changed the metal cooking dish about 5 times during our time there. Sometimes we went without seeing our server for a while, but we were able to flag them when we did need them. They are lacking more veggie dishes like other bbq places like kimchi pancakes (which even if they had it seems like they would charge extra when it should be included in the price). read more

I had high expectations for Bulgogi Hut based on the large number of high reviews, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. For the price, I expected much better quality. The brisket in particular was chewy rather than soft and tender. The banchan/sides were okay, but nothing especially memorable or different from what you'd get elsewhere. The restaurant was also nearly empty during Saturday lunch, which made the experience feel a bit underwhelming. Given how many strong AYCE Korean BBQ options there are in Koreatown, I would have a hard time choosing Bulgogi Hut again, especially at this price point. The positives: the service was friendly, and there is free parking behind the restaurant, which is definitely convenient. But overall, the food didn't live up to the reviews or the cost. read more

Came here on Thanksgiving Eve with my siblings, and I left full but not inclined to coming back again. In an area where there's so much competition, the value proposition was decent at best. We got the $39 deluxe option, and the meat quality was ok, with the beef brisket lacking much marbling at all. What's disappointing is the selection. For basically the same price as Moohan that's right down the street, you're getting a smaller selection of sides (they have a buffet line), and steamed egg is an extra charge. Service was fine due to the lack of business at the time we went, but it did take us a moment to get our check + have someone run payment. I've been to Bulgogi Hut many times but hadn't came in years. My friends and I LOVE this place. Our server was Alberto and he was great! The meat quality here is great, our favorite are the brisket and beef belly, the spicy pork is also delicious. The ambience is nice and calm. I ate here for the first time a couple weeks ago and let me tell you, I will absolutely be back! I eat Korean bbq from all around quite frequently, but this hut knows what they're doing. This was a great find! Michael was our server amd he was super helpful. We asked about what was gluten free and he was able to confirm what was and what wasn't gluten free. Basically all the non-marinated meats, the steamed egg, and kimchi. Im sure there was more but that's what we got at least. The food selection was excellent, and each cut of meat had its own unique, juicy flavor that really stood out. The service was just as impressive--our server was attentive, friendly, and consistently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I wish I had gotten her name because she did a fantastic job keeping our drinks refilled and making sure our experience was enjoyable. The restaurant's interior was another pleasant surprise. From the outside, you wouldn't expect such a stylish and inviting Korean-inspired atmosphere inside. Overall, I highly recommend this place for both group gatherings and casual meals. I used to love coming here in my college times but something is missing this time around. The bulgogi did not hit the same and it was so pricey. The salad is always amazing and their potato salad. I enjoy those two little dishes and corn cheese. The brisket was okay and the steak was not good either. It lost its sazon, like their food quality that I used to get. The service was great always checking up on me. It was pretty empty for a Tuesday night I expected more people. The ambiance was great with the decorations but overall I did not enjoy like how I used to when I went to colllege. Something is missing Bulgogi Hut maybe freshness of the food? Everything was delicious! The brisket especially was perfect every round.Toward the end, some of the other meat cuts were a bit fattier than expected, but overall the food was super tasty. Waiters just there to collect unearned tips, flying through tables as a task, food is barely the quality or portion size it once was, everything the bare minimum. Went to go celebrate with some friends and the service was so careless. We had issues and questions of our food and the waiter didn't understand what we were asking even though we were quite clear, and just gave the same thoughtless answer with no resolution. Wasn't willing to work with us to make the experience better at all. Just bad. Loud and noisy inside, at one point we were all shocked we decided to choose this place to get together. She made some great recommendations for what to select from the Deluxe AYCE menu. She recommended mixing the brisket and beef belly which turned out delicious. The pork jowl was another fantastic recommendation. She also took care of the grilling for us! This was an extra touch we enjoyed quite a bit. At the heart of Koreatown is Bulgogi Hut (AYCE) Korean BBQ. Trust me when I tell you I've been coming here for years! For as long as I can remember. It has always been my go-to spot for Korean BBQ. You get your money's worth without hurting your wallet. That being said, today my fiancée and I stopped by for the lunch time (Happy Hour) menu. It wasn't crazy busy. And being a weekday, we knew it was cheaper. Bulgogi, beef brisket, sliced beef belly, chicken, and pork belly AYCE for $29/person can't beat that. The portions are enough for two people. The side dishes are enough to go around. Salad and free rice bowls. Just perfect. Staff and service are usually attentive and top of things. Making sure you have your refills and more meat. But unfortunately, today I was so disappointed in our service. Ruby was very attentive with us in the beginning, but as soon as someone else that got the more premium menu, she started cooking for them and being more attentive towards them. Not exaggerating when I tell you I waited 10-15 minutes to get a refill for my soda, rice, and salad. I had cooked meat on my plate but no rice to go with it. The food got cold, so that was very disappointing. Ruby passed next to our table plenty of times to notice. But didn't acknowledge us. I'm still not going to let one bad experience let it ruin my continuous support towards the restaurant. The food is still delicious, portions are more than enough, and the ambiance is always a vibe! Dim lighting, good music, and cozy.
