Went here with a few friends based off of a recommendation and we are so glad we did! We ordered 2 platters of hummus, the J Beez house salad, the mixed kabobs platter, and the ground lamb and beef kabob skewer. As per the menu, the kabobs came with several sides (depends which kabob you order) and everything was very very good. The meat was tender, moist and flavorful. The owner was also super friendly and gave us free samples of Baba Ghanoush with their homemade pita chips. Also very good! The only downfall to J Beez is their location since they were in the corner of a strip mall next to Goodyear. I'm really hoping people give this place a chance and that they are able to get good business. We will definitely be back!! read more

Small corner of a strip mall. Went around 1:15 and we both ordered the Mixed Shish Kabobs chicken and beef/lamb kabobs and a cucumber salad. Said it would be 15 minutes as he would make it fresh. Wow. Huge amount of delicious food where no matter how we tried it was too much food to finish. Not your standard Gyro shop. I'm fact no gyros at all, but a great choice. So I had high hopes for this place. We went on the grand opening. The chicken was well cooked. The beef was so so. They don't have any juice or diet drinks nor do they have any milk. The hummus doesn't come with pita. The food is pretty good but I'd probably only do take out. There was a big fan that was very loud. I'll try again another time and see how it goes. read more

Tucked back in the corner of a strip mall and a little difficult to notice, tried it for the first time today. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Food is wonderful and a refreshing change from the other cusines in the area. Had the hummus, which was the perfect consistency and flavor, and the falafel which was seasoned well. Had the chicken kabob entree that was very flavordul and perfectly cooked. The rice was also very good. Wrapped up with a cup of great tea. I tried this place for the first time tonight, and it was exceptionally good. I ordered the chicken tender wrap with a side of rice to add on to the wrap. The chicken was so flavorful & juicy. I love Mediterranean food! The food there was amazing! You can tell it was so fresh! I got a few different players. The vegetarian one and the mixed player and a chicken one. My kids loved the rice and the chicken and the side salad. The falafel was so yummy! Very fresh! Everything was great! The owner was super nice and very knowledgeable. I've lived in the Carol Stream area for years and this is the first time I discovered J Beez. Tucked into a back corner, we decided to try dine-in dinner. We were not disappointed! Although its small inside, it was very clean and the chairs are very comfortable. We were greeted immediately upon entering. The owner was very gracious and answered all of our questions. This place is the reason I go to mom and pop places. They are hidden gems. As soon as we walked in, the owner (I presume) greeted us warmly. My friend and I both got the chicken kebab, and by the end of the meal there wasn't a piece of food left on the plate. After trying this place out all I can say is that you can't trust the yelp reviews on this restaurant and that's the first time I've ever said this. This is because I ended up paying close to 30$ for 2 plates of at most decent food. The portions in my opinion were small and the taste was not bad but for that price I would have expected a lot more flavor and larger portions-like their competitor pita inn. M.Azfar - I went to this Restaurant for the first today 2/14/19, and took wife for VDAY dinner. I ordered the food and it was on the table in 10-15 mins. Best damn Turkish food I have very eaten.
