Appetizer: 2 Piece Vegetable Samosa

The restaurant is very nice and clean, we waited less then five minutes to get seated. The only reason we wanted to eat here is we saw the $15 special. When we sat down and ordered they said they needed to check to see if all the items were available to make the special. When our waiter came back he said we could not order it because they did not have the items to make it so that was very disappointing so that is why we took a star off our review. In all honesty we probably should have left and went somewhere else. ------------------ We started our meal with the samosa appetizer. It was very tasty and was not too temperature hot so that was nice. I ordered the Apollo Fish, the more you ate it the hotter the spice seemed to get. It really builds up but was great! If your like me and love spicy food you will love the Apollo Fish! My husband ordered the Butter Chicken and loved the flavor of the sauce. We both shared the plain rice and one order of regular naan. It was very good!! If we are in the area again we would consider eating here... if the special of the day is available. We ended up spending double of what we were hoping but it was good to try one time.

This place is one time go to try if you like Indian food . The place is not so big and it's clean seating too. But their service is not too efficient. They are little bit pricey for the place and food. We ordered their specials like Haleem, Biryani butter chicken luqmi and chicken pakora and mixed grill. Haleem was very good it's something like spicy grits with mutton. Biryani was very good and flavorful but again the portions are too small for the price and just enough for one. Butter chicken was ok in taste but chicken was not enough in it again the portion I would say and they could've used little less food color though. Mixed grill was not good and too small a portion. They should work on both their rates and portion sizes. They started were just waste of money. Only Haleem and Biryani was nice And their desserts are a fail too. Need to pay attention on the restroom.

Great biryani joint in Chicagoland area - don't miss this spot - Very efficient and popular. 10/10

Lunch special and chicken 65 rice. Yum!

This place is great. Don't know how I never heard of it or came across it on Yelp. Great lunch specials and I also had the chicken 65 rice. It was all so good I took home a few more lunch specials for the family. Very polite and quick service.

Not worth your money! Service is really bad and waiter was very rude. Food was tasteless and unauthentic.

Tried their goat biriyani. It was pretty good along with their beef chapli kebab. Felt their portion was less for the prize.

We had the tea leaf salad, which had just the right blend of crunch and spice. The samusas were hot and flesh and the flavor of both the mohinga and coconut chicken noodle dish I had were phenomenal. I'd rate it on par, or even better, than San Francisco's Burmese options. Service was much friendlier here, that's for sure! Tawk was a delightful host...making jokes along with dish recommendations. Sadly, we gobbled up the food before I remembered to take photos. D'oh! I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad--a Burmese staple and a real treat if you haven't had it before. Very flavorful and just a hint of spice (don't eat the sliced peppers if you're spice-adverse, but we devoured them). We also had Shan Noodles (B8). I also recommend that. A mild to medium spice level and very tasty. Generous portions. Two dishes was enough for two though I wish we had tried the spring rolls or samosas too--we might have had leftovers if we had! The restaurant itself is inviting and clean. They did a good job considering the location in a strip mall. The lighting looks nice, and the textured walls add to the inviting ambience.

We had Nihari and Bihari kabab which was delicious. Awesome and amazing service provide by Tairead more

Just went here again and it has fallen off hard. They redid the interior and tables for some reason…read more(it's pretty outdated already somehow) and have raised prices as a result. The portions have reduced and there's also now a credit card fee. Nothing looks the way it does in the last pictures anymore. The service was alright but a baby threw up everywhere and then a man sprayed febreeze after they wiped it off and it made it super hard to eat with the febreeze smell. There was one really nice waiter, unfortunately i didn't catch his name but he did check on us since we were waiting for some time and we appreciated that. As for the food, everything except the beef hakka noodles were bad. Very under salted and way too much cabbage in the fried rice. The gola kabobs were decent portion but dry and something you'd expect from someone who just started learning how to make them last week. The rice we got with the chicken manchurian was not fresh and the chutney with the kabob was watered down and about to go bad. In fact the manchurian itself almost tasted watery. Literally spent almost $100 to walk out with the aftertaste of raw cabbage, can't go back again. Oh also weirdest part was that we were only given forks to eat with, no spoons or knives in sight! The menu format has changed as well but somehow the prices are still not accurate to the bill at the end! Be careful and take pics of the menu to compare if you need to.

Jbeez is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT and I'm so glad we decided to check them out again after our visit…read moreover a year ago. They decorated the dining area very nice. Tables are best, tidy and the place is very clean. The Pakistani food is delicious, made fresh daily and they offer halal meat entrees. The menu has expanded quite a bit and offers dishes for every palette from non spicy to spicy both vegetarian and various meats. They had a huge catering order of over 50 Nihari containers that smelled and looked really good! (I'll have to try that next time too!). The Mediterranean Grill items provide hummus, salad and rice accompaniments! I ordered the boneless chicken breast shish kabab which had a generous amount of meat. We also ordered the chicken tikka which came with 4 pcs (2 leg quarters). All the meat had nice seasonings, flavor and were not overly spiced. We ordered 2 lacha paratha's to accompany all the chicken that were really tasty. Even though we were full, we couldn't stop eating the rest of the paratha's! The chai and kheer was spot on and not to be missed! We plan on returning on a weekend to try their puri halwa. The owners are very friendly and make sure you are fully satisfied and happy with your meals. It's a great place for real authentic Desi food!
