My son devoured the entirety of his fish and chips, and it was a huge fillet. I had golden beer battered shrimp. The shrimp was plump and perfectly cooked. The batter is light and tasty. No honey mustard if that's what you like for your salad (fries for me). My son and husband really liked the Carolina gold sauce the kitchen recommended as an alternative. It's good and has a similar tang, just not for me. The ranch was solid. They have a limited beer and wine selection. We didn't notice they had a bar for mixed drinks until after the fact. The menu says they will offer local wines soon, which I like to see (and prefer to order) at local establishments. Service was excellent. The restaurant is bright and open with a subtle blue nautical theme. Comfortable booths. We'll be back.

This is one of our favorites for fish dinners on Friday. I love that, if you order the fish fry,…read more$1.00 of that price goes to the Olcott Fire Company. They recently changed their menu and now offer one of my favorites: Chicken Cordon bleu. Loved it the first time I ordered it and so far, haven't disappointed. Their clam chowder is delicious and you know it is clams...you can find them in their cup...not like some other places I go where you aren't sure it really is clam chowder. Service is friendly and if you go there enough, the servers know what you like to drink and are ready for you when you get in. Loved their bourbon bacon burger too. It is a casual place and children are welcomed and it is handicapped accessible. Lovely little entry way, too.

The entrées are not your ordinary traditional steak, chicken, and fish dinners. if you enjoy unique dishes and imaginative culinary delights, this is your place. The service was delightful. Buckle up, it's a long one. I think we're done here for a while. The food is usually good but the…read moreservice was SO horrible this time. I feel bad because the waiter was nice enough, but honestly, this was ridiculous and unacceptable. We did arrive closer to the end of the night (7:30, and they close at 9). BUT, we've been here many times before, and the service has never been this bad, especially considering there were almost no other customers. The other tables cleared out shortly after we arrived. It was just us, and one other table that came in after we did. We sat there and watched their food came out, then they were finishing up, ready to leave, but there we sat - with nothing. They had two different employees checking on them the entire time (they were only a party of 3 and we were 2). We didn't see our waiter. We ordered apps and entrees, and already finished our salads. We were just sitting there wondering what was going on. After we FINALLY got our entrees, the waiter drops the appetizers on the table and repeats that he "doesn't know what happened in the kitchen." We honestly didn't want the apps anymore. For whatever reason, I didn't want to say anything and I told my husband not to say anything either. He wanted to refuse the apps rather than take them home because we weren't able to have a proper dining experience and nothing is the same leftover. I guess he had a point. The waiter disappeared again after bringing the food. My husband did end up complaining when he finally came back around. We were offered dessert, which we declined. Was that going to take another 30 minutes while he disappeared again? No thanks. We were clearly irritated and wanted to leave so we asked for the bill (which also took some time). I don't know what had us sitting there for almost two hours, because it was about 9:00 (closing time) by the time our food was finally brought out. We were the only customers after a certain point. All of the employees were hanging out around the bar. I'm sure they were tapping their feet waiting for us to leave, but they certainly weren't doing anything to get us our food, and get us out. I'm not even sure why we waited that long. We should've just called it, paid for our drinks, and left.

Perfect Sunset Vibes at the Wilson Boathouse…read more We grabbed a table outside at sunset and couldn't have timed it better--golden hour over the water, a soft breeze, and the sounds of nostalgic '70s rock in the background. It was the kind of evening that makes you want to linger. The beef on weck was a classic done right--tender, flavorful, and true to its New York roots. We finished with a slice of key lime pie that hit all the right notes: bright, creamy, and not too sweet. Service was fast and friendly, and everything arrived hot and fresh. Simple, satisfying, and just the kind of place we'll be coming back to!

We would have come later, had we been given accurate info. Also, we were told the music ends on Sunday hours earlier than on other nites, so we booked for sunday, so we could actually talk over dinner. That info was also incorrect; music ended later than we were told, so we ended up eating inside even tho our desire/plan was to eat outside. When we made our reservation online, we requested an outside table; the e/m confirmation stated inside. We called and were told all reservations are for inside b/c outside is first come, first served. Why weren't we told that in our initial phone call? Why doesn't the website state that? Jennifer, our waitress, was attentive, friendly, helpful. Except, once we had decided what we would like to order then we were told everything they were out of, which, unfortunately, included what we desired for entrees. Companion's fish fry was large and good. My grain bowl, however, was skimpy, the vegetable medley consisted of a few green peas, and the shrimp was overcooked/tough to chew or cut. the Korean BBQ sauce just tasted like regular bottled bbq sauce. The wine list was short, but the cabernet sauvignon was very good. There were 2 desserts offered; we chose the chocolate cannoli cake, which was excellent! Overall, disappointing and not on our list of places to return to.
