've been going here for years. Before it was even "Smog Queen". Recently been taking my three…read morevehicles there. The shop next door is my mechanic. Recently they hired a new tech that has been telling me I need to make an appointment. So I called during the week and was told they never set appointments and "It's first come first serve". It's always been that. I went back again and the tech refused to serve me without an appointment. So I called again. I was told again "first come first serve". So I went back and the tech said no. He said my car takes 45 minutes and Honda and Toyotas only take 15 minutes so her doesn't want to do my car. So I try a third time and he tells me I'm hostile and won't accept my appointment. I am not hostile. Especially if someone is going to put hands on my cars. I will repeat my statement to the tech. A customer should not have to worry how long one vehicle takes over an other. Six days a week the other tech says they have always been first come first serve and customers should be able to expect consistent service. When i asked for the managers name is when the new tech said I was hostile. I called the other Smog Queen locations and they also said, "FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!" It's too bad this tech will lose a VERY LONG term customer I also check the other location and they confirmed they do not make appointments.

The worker seemed uncomfortable moving my car around since it was a manual. He got it on the dyno and stalled it 3 times while it was on the dyno, so it wasn't a pretty sound each of those times. After the third stall, he said that he couldn't complete the smog because something was broken and not able to connect. Now the worst part was that while he was trying to get it off the dyno, he revved really high and had the clutch midway which essentially burns the clutch. Now we both know that it happened because it smelled like burning clutch, which is pretty distinct. I called the owner and all he could say was that if it drives fine then sorry, but it's fine. They told me to come back another day when the machine actually works. Now I'm left with no smog check, a worse off clutch, and grease marks from the worker's hands on my hood, shift knob, and steering wheel lol.

I was talking to him to see if he had time to do the tire rotation service as well as dropping off my car and picking up my car at a later date. Here's the interesting thing : I was pleasantly surprised during my conversation because wow oh wow the business definitely has a great reputation because other customers were calling the office and interrupting my conversation with him. I was not expecting the business to be so busy. This is a great sign. Tom told me that he could do my tire rotation on that day and that I don't need to come back another time. He was honest and he keeps his word, he means what he says. He was able to do the tire rotation service in less than 1 hour and wow I was definitely surprised. I highly recommend talking to Tom about your car. I highly recommend Precise Auto Repair.

If you just need an oil change and can do the minor maintenance and inspections yourself, then it will be a bit pricy at this shop (~$170). However, if you want someone else to do all that, it would be cheaper than a dealership.

The van's ride was getting increasingly noisy and clunky. The engine lurched when put into gear and felt really rough when at idle. I was concerned we were at the end of life. The One Nation Crew took the car in and concluded that the main issue was worn-out engine and transmission mounts. In about 4 hours, the van and I were back on the road, and she was feeling much more like herself. No clunk and thump when shifting, the rough Idle was gone, and the ride was much smoother. One Nation charged us a much more affordable price than the $1,500 quoted by the dealer. These guys do great work. I recommend them to anyone who wants excellent work done at reasonable prices. I took time out of my day off and came in on Sunday, 04/26/26, right at their opening time. When I arrived, nobody was there. I called, but nobody answered. I didn't want to waste more time, so I looked for another shop that could help me, found one, and left. Later, they started sending me messages saying the mechanic was delayed until 11:30 AM. That means there was about a 1.5-hour gap between their posted opening time and when the mechanic was actually going to arrive. That does not work for me. After that, they offered me a free diagnostic. I replied: "Hi, I'll stop by again next time and update my review after that." Instead, they reported my review, and Yelp removed it. At that time, I didn't have enough time to fully describe my experience. Now I do. Once again: "I'll stop by again next time and update my review after that." This review is based on my real experience. I came during their advertised business hours, nobody was available, nobody answered the phone, and my time was wasted.

When I called on 2/4 to confirm, they rescheduled me to 2/11. Strange, but I went along with it. The Service: When I arrived on 2/11, I explained that my struts were recently replaced but the car had been making a rattling noise. They quoted $90 for a diagnostic inspection. Within 10 minutes, they called me over to show me a loose bolt (pictured). The mechanic tightened it in about 5 minutes. Then they charged me $200--apparently $90 for the diagnostic plus $110 to tighten a single bolt. Upsell Attempt: They also recommended replacing my struts for $1,500 ($1,300 with their "discount"). This doesn't make sense since I just had them replaced, which is why I brought the car in for the rattling in the first place. Bottom Line: $200 to tighten one bolt in 5 minutes feels excessive. I'll be getting a second opinion on the strut recommendation. I'm disappointed because I specifically chose this shop based on positive reviews, but my experience didn't match the reputation.
