I came here a skeptic with an open mind, and I left impressed! I had the Yaki Udon with shrimp and it was delicious! The noodles were thick and the dish had a great sauce. I'd average about 15 shrimp per order too, which is quite a bit in my humble opinion. The salmon sashimi on rice was fresh and good, and can't beat the price of $1 a piece! Went here for lunch and ordered off their very low-priced lunch menu. The red hot chicken was excellent, and came with choice of soup (the egg drop was well-prepared), and fried rice. Great meal for about five bucks. A couple of big groups came in and I think that slowed down service a little, but that's my only real complaint. They have sushi specials at lunch as well; I tried a piece of my wife's California roll and thought it was tasty and also a good value. read more

Don't go there. I went there today for dinner and ordered Pho Bo Beef (Vietnamese rice noodle soup with beef), apparently the chef had no idea how to make this simple dish at all. First, the soup is definitely not some real beef soup, and I suspected that the chef just threw some sliced beef into boiling water and add some salt and MSG. Second, the chef added too much fish sauce into the soup and made the soup very smelly. Third, there is so little beef in the soup and the rice noodle stuck together and form a big pile. Fourth, and the worst ever thing the chef did, is that he even did not bother to put Vietnamese basil into the soup, which is a must for this dish! I can't imagine if the chef can screwed up such a simple dish, how the other dishes in this restaurant can taste. Holy crap! They nailed everything I ordered! Usually I'm not a fan when places offer multiple nationalities of food. I had the Dragon Roll, amazing! I had the miso soup, spectacular flavor, the seaweed was a little distracting but not enough to keep me from ordering it again. I also had the Thai dishes Green Curry and Pad Thai. The curry was amazing and perfectly spicy! The Pad Thai was really good but the noodles were different than what I was expecting. Kind of a middling Asian restaurant. There is a diverse menu, but that can be a bit hit or miss. I've found the Thai/Vietnamese side of the menu is a bit better overall than the Chinese stuff. i haven't had the Japanese enough to really comment. The sushi seems closer to what you'd get at the grocery store, but they still charge the same as better sushi places. But they do deliver sushi, which is more than most sushi places. read more

I had the unfortunate event to have tried to order just like i had in the past 30 minutes later they called to tell me they don't deliver to my house which that had 3 times in the past which is six miles from their store. After telling them they have in the past they decided to tell me it was going to take an hour and a half before it might be out to my house the food is passable if you ever talk them into delivering but not worth the overprice they feel they need to charge read more

Ordered both Thai and Japanese meals, both were excellent! Presentation was great, service was excellent, and all dishes tasted incredible. I had the Thai Basil Shrimp, spicy, but not too much, delicious. Definitely add this to our list of often-visited restaurants. read more

The first time I tried J.Y, I actually liked it. I've had it two times afterwards, and both times were just awful. I figured when i got it the second time that maybe it was just a bad day. A bad batch, you know? So I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I felt sick after eating and didn't eat it for a while. I tried it again for a third time and same thing again. It was awful and I felt sick afterwards. I got the same thing all three times, too. I got the pad si ew. The one thing I liked about their pad si ew was that it had mushrooms in it. I normally go to Pearl Bay and get their pad si ew. After my third experience at J.Y, I'm sticking to Pearl Bay. I felt like the noodles from J.Y were a little too greasy, bland tasting, and they all stuck together which made it kinda harder to eat in my opinion. read more

I took a trip to Ohio to visiting my relatives. Many of my friends in Ohio wanted me to try out the JY Bamboo place. A very unique name and I was curious so I decided to go there. When we got to the place, it was pack with a lot of people. The place was beautiful! So clean and sparkly. Felt like I was in Japan. The waitress was very friendly and took us to a table since there are 6 of us. I couldn't take my eyes off when the other waitresses came out from the kitchen, carrying a delicious smell from the dishes. While staring at the menu that my waitress gave me, I kept on looking at what the other people were eating which made my mouth watery. I asked the waitress what that other person was eating and she said it is called, "Thai Basil Fried Rice". I decided to order that along with the other dishes my family order. I also order some sushi dishes, "Tempura Shrimp Roll", "Spider Roll", and "Manhattan Roll". Within 5 minute, the sushi dishes were first to arrived. The dishes were beautiful and the taste was outstanding. Then the Thai Basil Fried Rice came and, oh boy, it was mouthwatering. The price was decent. In the end, I was glad that I tried it out. I recommend anyone who are coming to Ohio, to try this place out. Man, it's astounding and delicious. 10/10 read more

Just ate after a few years of not eating there because I use to live just a couple of minutes from it. Now I live about half hour away. The trip was well worth it! I love there seaweed salad and there sushi is great and the prices are good too. They also have the traditional Chinese food like general tsos chicken, which is fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice quiet night out with really good food. read more

The only reason why I am giving it three stars instead of 2, is because the first time I ordered to-go sushi from here, it was pretty good and the delivery time was amazing. However, this most recent time was not so good. They quoted a 25 minute delivery, but it took them an hour. When we got to eating the sushi, a few pieces of my salmon has to be spat out because it was really grisly. I don't know what happened, but the first time I had it, I would have recommended it. As another Asian, I was overwhelmed to taste everything we ordered. It was an insult to call those dishes "Thai" or "Japanese" when they are that terrible.... I understand that they are not like the real thing at all. That's okay, I am used to it. And I wouldn't mind as long as the food tastes good, but.... Luke warm, over boiled soggy noodle in the soup that only has soy sauce, no flavor. Disgusting. And who'd expect to open a can of Thai tea at a restaurant? I could buy exactly the same can at a near by Asian grocery store! At least they should've serve in a glass with ice. My whole family was upset and didn't talk while eating because we all were shocked. We eat out very often and even when the meal is not so good we try and enjoy it and have a good time. But not at this restaurant. It was just the worst, unforgettable experience to all of us. read more

I get the binto box every-time i go and it is good. Reasonably priced for the amount of food given in the meal. I've had family say that they weren't impressed with any of their food they've gotten. We've gotten food delivered multiple times and many things were forgotten. Stingy on their rice, they actually put rice in one big box for two separate meals. Reading the reviews about this restaurant is what prompted us to try it out. It's small, cute & clean atmosphere... and the good ends there. The waiter "Jim" gave us menus & asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for a water with lemon. He brought me a water, so I asked for the lemon when he had a chance. He came back a few minutes later w lemon slices. Jim asked if we were ready to order, since it was our first time we wanted to look over the menu for a minute. Jim walked away, obviously annoyed & stood behind the sushi bar for 10 mins, drinking & chatting with the sushi chef. I ordered a california roll & garlic beef w/wonton soup I also ordered chicken Pad Thai w/wonton soup to go. He brought me a hand roll. When I said, I'm sorry I order a Calf roll .... he said "I brought you what you ordered" and pushed the plate further to me. Which I pushed back and told him it wasn't what I ordered. Well he was done with us at that point & had the other waitress serve our lunch. All of the various lunches were drenched in super, super sweet sauces... the schezwan was the sweetest, hunan & garlic both very sweet. I suppose if you have a sweet-tooth the food would be great. We are much more savory, spicy people so it is not something we would have again. Oh, and when I unpacked the pad thai at home ... Jim gave me Hot Sour soup, and not the wonton soup I ordered.... in fact everyone at the table had wonton soup, the word Hot Sour was not said by anyone, but I'm sure Jim would say he gave me what I ordered. If you love sushi, do NOT go here. I knew once I got there I should've left. First off, I stood in front of the person at the register for like three minutes and got no acknowledgment until I asked "should I seat myself?" Then, I sat at the sushi bar and first noticed that the sushi case was disturbingly dirty. But I figured I'd give it a chance. Wrong move. The first roll I ordered was the pink lady, and the tuna inside with stringy and chewy. The second roll was the dragon roll and that sushi tasted off like it sat too long. The food was not even close to being Chinese, the rice was over cooked and mushy. Pepper steak had no flavor, and rubbery. Sesame chicken was dried out, and listed as being a spicy dish, instead it was drowned in a very sweet syrup with no other flavor. The most oddly thing was is that the containers that the food came in was very hot, but the food was near room temp, I would have to say it was microwaved. While they have great food, and my husband and I have never had any problems with dining in, both times that I've ordered delivery have been terrible. I've had to call them after more than an hour to see where my food is, the person that answers the phone can't even understand the difference between north and west when taking my address, and they end up only leaving to deliver my food AFTER I call. Both times, once I got someone who actually understood me, the answer I got for the long wait was to the effect of, "Sorry, we've been really busy tonight." This might make more sense, but I live less than 1.5mi from them. I've worked in a restaurant with delivery. There's no real excuse for that extreme of a delay at 8:30pm, AND absolutely no sort of apology or compensation (slight discount, coupon, etc). I'll eat there again, but I'll never order there again, and will tell everyone I know not to either. Which is a real shame, as they're the only sushi delivery place in my area. If the delivery service was good, I'd order once a month or more. read more

This food was probably the best Chinese delivery I have ever had. I was pleasantly surprised by ordering from them by placing my order online. I personally have never ate in the restaurant but I order the delivery about once a month. I love the fact that they deliver sushi and in a reasonable amount of time. The drivers and order-takers are very friendly! The food is so reasonably priced but some of the specialty sushi rolls are a little on the high side. I recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

If you are looking for incredibly long delivery times and ice cold food then you found the place. If I could give a 0 star rating, I would.

Service was fast and friendly. Food was eh. I work on base, so it's very close for lunch.
