I sat at the bar and not only is their wine menu terrible but the bartender also knew nothing about them. I was very clear that I do not eat much and hate wasting food and yet still brought a full basket of bread (was just me). The escargot were good, the puff pastries were perfectly flaky and buttery. However, the stone crab claws were absolutely terrible I sent them back after one bite. They weren't cold and also weren't warm, just room temperature. They tasted like they had been cut open the day before and just sat out The filet was good but nothing to write home about. Overall I won't be back. Not worth the price. read more

First, the ambiance and service were both amazing!!! Second, as compared to our experience 2-3 years ago, the food was very disappointing. The escaragot were great, but for the prices, nothing was worth what we paid for. The trout was blackened and was not fresh; had to use all the lemon on it for some taste other than the seasoning; ahi tuna was tasteless and the filet for over $60 was not worth it. This was our first time visiting Horseshoe casino and dining at the steakhouse. We had a reservation and still had to wait a little bit for our table. I think they may have been understaffed on the night that we dined in. We were seated in a booth that was by the window. It was nice being able to look out the window at the river. For an appetizer, my husband ordered a caesar salad and it was really good! The croutons were perfect and overall, the salad had great flavor. We did enjoy the trio of butter and warm bread that came as well. For entrees, I ordered the prime rib and my husband got a filet Oscar style. We both enjoyed our meals and that each had good seasoning and flavoring. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding and this was the star of the show. We came here on a weekend on a Saturday and did an open table reservation and had openings for a 5:15pm and the rest did not have it. I wanted to use my $100 dollar celebration for Diamond status and plus I had $25 dollars worth of need. The place is really dark inside, but you get a nice view of the lake, but at that time it was already dark so you could not see the sunset. This place only opens at night time too. The place was busy, but the people were good at refilling the water and giving the break out. My wife and I ordered and my quick comments 1. Seafood pasta - very good and big portions 2. Pork chop - big piece and was not dry at all 3. Escargot - must have 4. Ooey Gooey Overall we spent $125 dollars on the nose and was able to have our meal comped and eat for free. Ribeye is wonderful and an amazing experience IF your cook knows what they are doing. If not, soooo bad unable to chew it. The waiters do not care if customer has an issue with their food. I had a ribeye and let me tell you, my fiance was right, it was the best steak I've ever eaten. She had told me she has eaten at Binions in Bossier over 100 times and never had a bad steak. It was such a great experience we returned on the 26th. We order the exact same meal. Turk our waiter brought us our steak. He stood there while I sliced it. I told him there is something wrong with my knife or steak. It was the steak. We called Turk back explaining the steak was like sawing into boot sole. He replied it's bc of the cooking. We told him we ordered the exact same steak the week before and it was perfect. Long story short- after calling Turk back twice we received no relief from the tough steak. I came to Jack Binion's on a mission to get a lobster tail and I succeeded! I also got the au gratin potatoes and a Bulleit rye old fashioned. The lobster tail with the drawn butter was great. The potatoes were delicious. The old fashioned was one of the best I've had. Not too sweet and not too heavy on the bitters, which is how I like them. The lobster tail was pricey but it did say market price on the menu and I didn't ask. For the price I would probably try a steak next time. This meal was easily the best thing I ate on my road trip. read more

This is our go to restaurant while in Bossier. Best service and great kitchen. In 4 days we had two dinners here. JD was our server 1st night I have to say his outstanding service made the evening perfect. I tried the Pork Chop it was delicious came with a sweet potato mash and Brussel sprouts. Tiki hubby had the prime rib came with a blue cheese roasted onion and baby carrots. Prime was good. On our 2nd visit our server Louis was unbelievable, in meeting our every need. Tiki hubby and I shared a wedge and seafood campanile. The wedge was delicious thick cold lettuce with a creamy blue cheese and cheese crumble. The pasta had a creamy sauce full of crab, crawfish, sausage, with a large tiger prawn on top. Not one bad bite. Hot fresh bread with 3 different spreads hit the table as soon as you sit down. Me and hubs visited for our anniversary. My husband got a pasta dish with shrimp, crab meat , and andouille sausage. It was very good and we were happy with it. I got the scallops. I was not a fan. Scallops are so delicate and they're wonderful just belong scallops. Light , airy , buttery they just speak for themselves! The risotto was odd. Definitely don't need the squash lol. I think classic risotto is perfect and I wanted the rest of my asparagus. The manhattan cocktail was delicious! There was no alcohol spared in that drink! We also enjoyed the bread and butter tray complimentary to our meal. I like the garlic one the best. A slightly more upscale restaurant hidden within The Horsehoe Casino Resort. The hostess, servers, and waiters were all very cordial and polite. I had a great customer service experience here I ordered the Crab Bisque and the Surf and Turf (7oz filet and lobster tail) The complementary bread was a good portion size and came with 3 different butters. I enjoyed the garlicky one the most. The Crab Bisque had a much different flavor profile than what I would usually expect. It had good flavor, but it was weak. There was a lot of crab meat inside, so that's a plus. The surf and turf was probably the worst part of this meal. The steak was not seasoned whatsoever and was overcooked. The size of the lobster tail made me happy at first, but it had no flavor either. Overall a disappointing experience since I had higher hopes for the food. read more

We stayed at the casino and decided to eat at the steakhouse. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. It has an older classic feel inside which was perfect for a special birthday dinner. It was Sunday evening, so it wasn't very crowded and we got right in. The staff were very prompt and the service was great. I ordered the lamb chops and my husband got the scallops. Both were cooked perfectly. The risotto with the scallops had a bit of a weird cinnamon season in it, but overall still good. The lobster mac and cheese as we as the crème brûlée were fantastic. I'll start off by saying we came here thinking we weren't going to eat much. Time zone difference and we ate lunch a few hours prior. I ate the 18 ounce ribeye and appetizers with sides. To the man behind the grill- great!! From the asparagus and the grilled salmon... nothing was left on our plates. I was so amazingly impressed with a upscale steakhouse inside of a casino. I was blown away with the delicious meal from the starters to the entrees. We had barbecue shrimp prawns and although you only get three it was so worth it. We had the Escargot which was amazing. My friend has never experienced it and was blown away at the taste. We ordered the filet Mignon and the Sea Bass. Both were so impressive and simply amazingly delicious and I'm very hard to impress. I would drive another three hours to eat here again. Service was good but not great. However, service was furnished with nice hard working guys who presented well and because the meal was so good, you accepted the inadequate service. It's my second time eating here. The first time was fine - not great - but uneventful. This second time (on a Monday at 5:30) they were struggling. The salad course took 20 minutes to deliver- it was as advertised. No bread was ever offered before or after the salad. I ordered the 7oz fillet medium - it came out rare (bloody). After asking for more cooking time (so another 20 minute wait) - it came out well done. . After another 20 minute wait - I received a med rare steak (picture attached). With 10 patrons in the bar and 6 tables seated in the restaurant - they definitely weren't in the weeds. I mean ... they are a steakhouse. They SHOULD be able to hit medium ... on 3 separate tries. The brussel sprouts and bacon were under cooked and bland. The flavor and texture of the steak were good and the service was acceptable. We came here to celebrate my fiancés graduation and had high hopes. The ambiance was a Typical steak house. Pretty good but nothing special. The "New Orleans" Bbq shrimp wasn't good at all. We left 1/2 on the plate. And it was only 4 shrimp to begin with. The shrimp tasted "shrimpy" and the sauce had way too much Worcestershire in it. It was far from "New Orleans" bbq shrimp. My Fiancé ordered the scallops said citrus crusted scallops with risotto. The scallops honestly tasted like fish sticks... the "breading" was soggy and horrible. She didn't enjoy the risotto that came with hers. I ordered the Queen cut prime rib cooked to medium, my steak came out cooked medium well/Well done. Zero pink at all. I sent it back and it came back rare, like blue rare. For a $75 steak... they should know how to cook steak by now. So I ate the first bite and left the rest of my $75 steak on the plate. My mushroom risotto was ok, pretty mushy and salty... I only had a few bites. My Fiancés food got cold waiting on my steak to arrive for the second time. She didn't want to eat without me. The highlight was the bread pudding. It was delicious. The other highlight was a gentleman named Antonio, he provided great service and was very friendly. I wish I could say the same about our waiter. Service was super slow. A table that had 4 people, their food came out before ours and we were sat about 10mins before them. They also had appetizers... Amazing experience!! We made reservations here on a Wednesday and the place wasn't that packed! We were surprised to learn that they only had a $10 corkage fee! That's awesome for a high end steakhouse. We had the T-bone steak, crab cakes, side salad, crab, bread pudding, crepe brûlée and 7 layer chocolate cake! Holy moly the dessert is unbelievable here and it is huge! I don't recommend the crab cakes as it was super salty. Definitely get the T-bone! Meat is so tender! It looks burnt when they bring it out but it tastes unbelievable. They also bring you a bread basket with a variety of breads, muffins and crackers. Service was also slightly but it took us over an hour to get our meals. We luckily just enjoyed each other's company and wasn't in a rush. If you're too antsy to get your food, I wouldn't recommend coming here. It was also very nice of them to bring chocolate covered strawberries for my friend celebrating her birthday! read more

Not so Good - server & bar manager struggled with our suggestion that the drinks (old fashions) were significantly different from the bar vs the restaurant bartender. My buddy ordered the NY strip, his wife had the 8oz Filet, my wife order the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and I order the 10 oz Filet. Me and my buddy's steak were almost the same cost, $73. We considered the Filet Oscar which was $94 (which came w your choice of toppers ($17). LET'S GO BRANDON! We both passed on the Oscar. We said what the hell on the strips and filet, must be amazing. Regis makes you feel Regal!! He welcomed us and we were here for a getaway overnight stay. The pictures were taken after the fact, my filet a la Oscar was perfectly cooked and I ate the crab first!! What you don't see is the crab bisque soup with corn~~~ amazing, I ate the whole bowl and I am usually picky, but this was too good.
