    Bonus Jack Combo $4.49

It had been a while since I last came to this Jack in the Box and it seemed like not much had changed. I walked in and the place was empty. No one in line and no one eating inside either. It seemed more like a place where people ordered their food to go now. I got their advertised Bonus Jack Combo for $4.49. The burger tasted fine and I felt like it was similar to a Big Mac but with a different sauce. The fries were the best part of the meal since they were crispy and nicely salted. They had the Coca Cola Peach soda and it was my first time ever seeing this flavor anywhere so I had to try it. Not much to say except it tasted like Coca Cola and peach. This was a small location with a few tables inside. They had one restroom that both men and women could use. The parking lot was small and only had a few parking spaces. It did have a drive thru but the path was narrow. I thought the place as a whole was very clean.

This location has continued to come in clutch for late night/super early morning meals for myself and some friends. It's been years since I stepped inside but what I can say about present day is that the drive thru has always taken well care of my orders. They're also pretty quick with shooting them out, so the wait time at most is minimal. I guess it's fair to say the late night staff, provides a great environment for customers to order and pick up their food. For that, I will give this a 4/5. It's above average, and in particular much faster in wait time than the location on the other side of Alameda.

Food is always good here service service, pleasant ambience, music chat in the kitchen

They over charger. They slammed the doors and I had to wait for the police for a good minute cause I thought they were in the right.

It's about the principal, not even the actual price and I was waiting there for the police and they finally showed up and they were over here marking at me and they slam the door at me. They spoke in Spanish in me to. Thought I didn't understand them. I actually have a recording of them throughout our whole interaction even when they called the police saying bs. Even when they laughed at me.

I had a craving for chicken nuggets, and the nearest place was Jack-in-the-Box ( JITB) on Webster St. Then I noticed that I never left a review for this hometown JITB. This is an old restaurant, it used to have the original Jack in the Box drive-thru speaker back in the early days. It was a clown on top of a box. So when you place your order, you speak to the clown! So how was my visit? Drive-thru (DT) took about 4-5 mins. The DT line wraps around thru the parking lot. Staff were ok. Chicken Nuggets were fairly fresh. I believe the holding time for chicken nuggets is only 20 mins. Use the sauces, and the nuggets are edible and enjoyable. Small dining room, small parking lot, drive-thru in back of the building.

$8 meal thanks to the app!

Open during COVID-19. After buying groceries at Grocery Outlet, I decided to see what deals were on the Jack in the Box app. $3 chicken strips, $2 onion rings and $2 small Oreo Shake?! I'm sold! Add that I could get a free 5 piece nuggets with a mobile order and I put my order in, pressed the start order button and was on my way! The order was perfect. Everything was made fresh and crispy. The only reason they have 4 stars is because when I've gone into the restaurant in the past, their soda machine has either even broken or only has diet soda (which I don't drink). I eat here pretty rarely but always good to have another quick option!

The process is easy, customers order at the window, pay, and wait outside where there are a couple tables to sit at while waiting for their orders. The main problem I found was the time it took to make a couple burritos. There were no customers in front of me and it took nearly thirty minutes to make two burritos. The other thing I noticed is the add ons really raised the price. The guacamole, etc are all extra charges on the the super burrito which in my eye makes no sense. Either it's a super or regular. Not super needing to have a ton of add ons to make it a super. But how was the burrito? Overall I thought the taste was good. Burrito was on the small side. But the ingredients seemed to be solid, and blended together nicely. Decent quality but for the price and wait time, I won't be rushing back.

The seasoning on both were great, the tortilla was a bit on the crunchy or thick side but I liked it bc it didn't get soggy while I was eating. Their salsas were all delish (the hot is spicy but also flavorful). Fish was a little crispy and tacos were pretty full. Notes: we came on a Monday at 7 but they ran at of tortas. Will be back to try though. Parking was pretty easy and there are two small tables under their awning. We were able to sit and eat while it was drizzling out.

From the outside, it looks like a straightforward taco truck, but wow was I surprised. I ordered the Carnitas Super Taco, which came loaded with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. My only complaint? You only get one taco per order because I definitely could've eaten another. The Kid ordered the Carne Asada Super Taco and before we even pulled away, she was asking for a second one. That's usually a pretty good sign. We also tried the horchata and jamaica, and both were delicious. The horchata was creamy and flavorful, while the jamaica was refreshing and not overly sweet. What surprised me most was how quickly they got the food out, especially considering how popular this spot seems to be. A few things to know: * Cash or Venmo only * Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it * Keep an eye out for the new speed cameras in the area Their hours are another plus: Open daily, 9:30am- midnight Overall, this was one of those pleasant surprises that reminds you not to judge a place by appearances. Reason why I'd give 3 stars instead of 5 is because 1) almost $5 for one tiny taco is already absurd, and 2) half of the time they charge me for super taco prices just so i can go home and find out they gave me regular tacos - NO cheese, NO guac, NO sour cream. I even asked the dude on the phone how many bags of chips they give for my order so i know if I need to order more, he literally said two bags of chips, and end up giving me just one bag for a total of 4 "super" tacos and one "super" burrito. We tried coming here on a Sunday and couldn't find parking for 15+ minutes so we ended up leaving. There is some street parking but we prefer to park in the lot. Everything looked authentic, fresh, and incredibly appetizing. When it was finally my turn to order, I was especially pleased to see the variety of meats available. The suadero immediately caught my attention. It appeared to be the proper cut of meat--a cut that surprisingly few places in the Bay Area use, and even fewer seem to know how to cook properly. I also noticed that they use a traditional "disco"--the large, deep, circular pan with a dome-shaped center--to cook the suadero. At that point, my mouth was watering. We ordered a burrito, three asada tacos, two suadero tacos, two cabeza tacos (meat from cow's head), one lengua (beef tongue), and one tripa (beef small intestine). I also asked for some of the salsa available behind the counter where they serve your tacos, which turned out to be a delicious house-made habanero salsa. Unfortunately, not all that glitters is gold. As appetizing as everything looked, the meats simply weren't executed as well as I had hoped. The asada was dry and overcooked. The suadero was dry, tough, and overcooked. I was particularly looking forward to the tripa, but instead of the crispy, rich, savory flavor I normally associate with a great tripa taco, these were soft, soggy, fatty, and somewhat bland. One of the biggest disappointments was that all of the different cuts seemed to taste almost exactly the same. Part of the appeal of ordering tacos like suadero, cabeza, lengua, and tripa is experiencing the distinct character of each cut. Unfortunately, those differences were largely lost here. By the end of the meal, the dominant flavor in my mouth was simply grease, which made it difficult for the individual meats to shine. That said, there is a lot to like about Taquería El Paisa. I absolutely loved the décor and overall ambience. The restaurant has a genuine feel of as if you were in a Mercado in Mexico City, and that atmosphere adds a lot to the experience. I also really enjoyed the salsa bar, which offers a great variety of traditional taco accompaniments. The house-made habanero salsa, in particular, is excellent--bright, flavorful, and seriously spicy. A few drops on each taco is more than enough. Seriously, resist the temptation to douse your taco in it! I think Taquería El Paisa has tremendous appeal and a potential for the best taqueria in the Bay Area. The atmosphere is authentic, the selection of meats is impressive, and the presentation initially builds a lot of anticipation. What I would love to see is a little more attention given to the cooking techniques and handling of each individual cut. Better control of the cooking time, texture, and perhaps work on mastering how  the suadero, tripa, lengua, and cabeza can each maintain their own distinctive flavor and character. There's definitely something special here waiting to come through. With some refinement in the execution of the meats, Taquería El Paisa could really elevate the taco experience and turn that first impression of excitement into an equally impressive meal. Side note, is there a bathroom at this restaurant? I couldn't find one.
