This location has continued to come in clutch for late night/super early morning meals for myself and some friends. It's been years since I stepped inside but what I can say about present day is that the drive thru has always taken well care of my orders. They're also pretty quick with shooting them out, so the wait time at most is minimal. I guess it's fair to say the late night staff, provides a great environment for customers to order and pick up their food. For that, I will give this a 4/5. It's above average, and in particular much faster in wait time than the location on the other side of Alameda.

They over charger. They slammed the doors and I had to wait for the police for a good minute cause I thought they were in the right.

It's about the principal, not even the actual price and I was waiting there for the police and they finally showed up and they were over here marking at me and they slam the door at me. They spoke in Spanish in me to. Thought I didn't understand them. I actually have a recording of them throughout our whole interaction even when they called the police saying bs. Even when they laughed at me.

Please do not Purchase anything from this Restaurant. I have complained about a worker, late 20's, Mexican, light skin, dark hair wears it cut very short on the back and sides, he works evenings. He is always extremely rude. I guess the owner has informed him of my bad reviews, so as I had predicted when I wrote about his behavior the first time, he now has control over all the staff. I arrived at 5:45 pm. The worker ignored me for 5 minutes, it was obvious he did not wish to take my order. When he made eye contact with me, I asked him was there someone who could take my order. He answered, "No" I needed to wait 20 min. for another worker. I told him I wanted 4 Jumbo Jacks. I stood there until 6:15(30 min.), then he spoke in spanish to the worker cooking the burgers, and walked to me rang up the order. I paid, and the burgers were already made, I now understood he spoke in spanish telling them my order prior to making contact with me. My food tonight was pitiful, all 4 children complained, the burgers were flat, like only bun and over cooked patty, cheese 99% melted off, 1 little lettuce leaf, that turned slimy from being cooked by the over-cooked HOT burger, 1 skinny little slice of tomato. I am a retired colonel from the United States Marine Corps. I should not be getting treated like this by this person, who is allowed by the owner to treat me in this fashion, because I complained about his rude behavior toward me at Christmas time. The owner owns both Jack In The Box restaurants in Alameda, Please by your food from somewhere else.

I had a craving for chicken nuggets, and the nearest place was Jack-in-the-Box ( JITB) on Webster St. Then I noticed that I never left a review for this hometown JITB. This is an old restaurant, it used to have the original Jack in the Box drive-thru speaker back in the early days. It was a clown on top of a box. So when you place your order, you speak to the clown! So how was my visit? Drive-thru (DT) took about 4-5 mins. The DT line wraps around thru the parking lot. Staff were ok. Chicken Nuggets were fairly fresh. I believe the holding time for chicken nuggets is only 20 mins. Use the sauces, and the nuggets are edible and enjoyable. Small dining room, small parking lot, drive-thru in back of the building.

Open during COVID-19. After buying groceries at Grocery Outlet, I decided to see what deals were on the Jack in the Box app. $3 chicken strips, $2 onion rings and $2 small Oreo Shake?! I'm sold! Add that I could get a free 5 piece nuggets with a mobile order and I put my order in, pressed the start order button and was on my way! The order was perfect. Everything was made fresh and crispy. The only reason they have 4 stars is because when I've gone into the restaurant in the past, their soda machine has either even broken or only has diet soda (which I don't drink). I don't know which of my fellow yelpers reported that this Jack in the Box is closed. Absolutely false and inaccurate. This Jack in the Box has been at this location since the 1970's. AAMOF, it has been there going all the way back to September 1970. How do I know? After attending classes at College of Alameda over 40+ years ago, I used to come to JintheB for their special - 4 tacos for $1.00 - for lunch. My husband and I just stopped in to get something to eat. Per the receipt, check in time was 7:52:25 PM and the date, 11/27/2019. The employee who took our food order was Martha. Receipt also has a telephone number. It is (510) 523-6396. Eats: Chick-n-tater meal, which included two tacos, halfsie fries and a small drink. Cost: $8.72 (tax included). Finally, I doubt if the people at Yelp HQ will remove the notice that this fast food eatery is closed. I have proof that they are indeed opened for business. Where is the physical proof from the yelpers who said it's closed?

I love Jack in the Box, however last night I went through the drive through and there was a bit of a wait, okay no problem. But when it was my time to order i was being rushed. I wanted the breakfast platter without coffee but was rung up for coffee. When i told the lady I didn't want coffee she says it doesn't come with it, I said yes it does it says so on the menu. She said "Oh my god" and took it off then said ate you done. When i got to the window I was more surprised that it was a manager on the head set. Not to mention two employees fighting because one wants to go home. Get better staff at night. read more

However it open late, my expectation was dropped. Food was cold, tacos were way worse (oily and proportion was terrible. Chicken sandwich had big junk of lettuce and overcooked dried chicken!!! Drink cup had barely room for sprite and full of ice. I didnt pay for full cup of ice!!!!! When this madness stop??? Overall disappointed!!! Never visit again even day time! Not recommend. read more

Boy has this place gone downhill from 4 stars to 1. Must be under new management. First they raised the price like 25% in 2 years. Now they force you to pay for cheese you don't want, the young order taker did not know the menu and sold me a burger that had extra cheese when I told her I didn't want any cheese. Wasted 10 minutes of my time and still got my order wrong. I didn't eat one bite of it. It was all wrong. And they overcharged me too and we're rude. I used to eat here once a day. I will never go back. Iced tea is no longer fresh either. read more

Once I month I walk to this Jack In The Box for a milkshake. These are the best milkshakes. I never wait long for a milkshake. I don't pay through the nose for a milkshake. There are seasonal milkshakes. This place should be called Jack In The Milkshake. Milkshakes are the best. read more

This is one of the worst Jack in the box around. 5 out of 10 times I been here they always messed up your orders & always forget to something. The chicken switch & burger I order for my Co work tease like 2 days old patty, like if they didn't sale it the day before then kept it to sale the next day. They need to get a new management for this Jack in the box & poor customer service all round. I do not recommend anyone to go here & they have a lot of good reviews but it's all fake... read more

I recently saw this add on tv regarding the food truck inspired sandwich. I went here to try the chicken sandwich. It was a drive thru experience. I went two day. First day there was only two cars in front of me, but the car right in the front took forever. When it was my turn so they gave me a small drink I said no I ordered large, thn they switched to large drink but when I drove away and reached home, I found the fries was small as well. When I told u guys I ordered large shouldn't u have changed fries as well. U guys did charge me for small but I was willing to pay extra, coz I ordered a large. Anyways the sandwich tasted dry but I did love the taste so I went back the next day. Again there was two cars in front of me and the car in front of me took forever. They did give me large fries but the bun was burnt and hard. U had to bite really hard. So I just ended up eating the filling. As u can tell both time not good experience. read more

Normally I wouldn't give a 5 star review to a fast food place, but I really want to call out that this store is a great example of providing excellent quality in this segment. We go to this location fairly regularly and the meat is fresh, the vegetables are flavorful, the lettuce is crisp, the fries are crispy. These guys really seem to care about quality. The service is also excellent and they always thank you for coming. Even during a dinner rush or at 2am, these guys are consistently friendly. read more

So one night we went to the drive thru and ordered two burgers, after he told us the price, and after i said sorry, i wanted to change one of the burgers to a meal, and his answer was "i already placed your order, please drive up to the window." ....so i was like ok CAN I ADD A SMALL FRIES AND A COKE AND I WILL PAY FOR IT SEPERATELY? and he replied with the same line. Lol yea we went to In & Out instead but that guy is needs to get fired. read more

Really friendly staff and the restaurant is always nice and clean. It's a fast food joint that has a sense of class. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, this is a great place to stop. I've always been happy with the food and the food preparation. I really like that Jack in the Box doesn't cook the food until you order it. read more

The drive thru messed up my order & when i returned the drive thru lady was very rude & said "next time check that the order is correct on the screen" with a very bad attitude & then slammed the little window shut.. this lady should be fired!!! Cmon jack get it together man..Me and my girl were just trying to get a late night snack and we were polite about our order being messed up but she gave us attitude for literally NO DAMN REASON! We were respectful and we didn't get the same respect back. read more

This location is always out of something. One night it was buns of all things. Tonight it was fries. Both regular and curly. Every night the milkshake machine is "broken but will be fixed by 5am" according to the rude toothless woman that runs the window at night. This location happens to be decent during the daytime hours and it sounds like the night staff are just too lazy to fire up a fresh order of anything that might inconvenience them. Not to mention the night I ordered the stacked burger and got home to find the meat was missing. Upon noticing this I called and you guessed it! They were "out of meat" As if they thought I wouldn't notice or care? This place fails me every time. Finally giving the 1 star this location deserves. read more

This is the best Jack In The Box at least on the island of Alameda...Do they mess up sometimes ? Sure , but the GM/Owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet....He always gives our daughter free cookies and let's her order her own meal and includes her into the experience..He and I had a convo yesterday of how it is to be a GM in a franchised restaurant and shared a lot of the same views ! I will continue to go to this one because of him and his wife alone ! read more

I have been meaning to write these guys up for a while. They stand out because they are always really friendly, authentically nice. I don't get fast food often, and it's usually because I'm running late, tired, and need to go grocery shopping, but I always drive out of there with a smile, because they are just nice people and that is so rare nowadays. I lived next to the one on Park St, but I make the drive to this one. I'm picky, so is my kid, and they always get our orders right. Just goes to show, whether it's a Michelin Star restaurant, or fast food, service matters. Good job, guys! read more

i ordered food around 9pm. i was disappointed in last nights entrees that i purchased, food tasted awful. jumbo jack on sourdough bread didn't taste fresh, french fries were soggy, tacos were cold, i couldn't even finish the other one, and lastly my coke soda was flat. before this, my last experience eating there wasn't all that either, but i decided to give it another try. this will be my last time eating from this fast food establishment. read more

One star for poor customer service ... little smiling Asian girl cannot count and doesn't check her orders! And can't focus because she's bull cramping with her co workers.....Twice! WTH!!! part of our simple order was for 8 tacos... as she gave my daughter the bag she loudly said "8 tacos"! When we opened the bag at Home there were only 4..... so we go back and tell her you forgot 4 of the 8 tacos that we ordered , no prob right, wrong! she again says i'll hget you 4 more...... so how many does she put in a bag? 2!!!!! Sooo very annoyed at this point I said very loudly to her 4 not 2!!! Do you know how to count!!! No reaction no apologies only a look like I was bothering her.... sad sad sad. Also since when do you cram 8 (4) Tacos, 2 0nion ring orders and 2 curly fries into one small bag ? So tacos were of course smashed and leaking ... SMH, is this what happens when there is no manager or a manager that doesn't give a crap!!! Mind you we live on the other side of Lake Merritt but it was the principle of the whole thing.. but what really bothered me no apologies and no offer of compensation....I dare someone who cares from Jack in the Box to contact me! read more

I've been to this jack n the box twice. The first time they did not give me any ranch when I asked them repeatedly to give me ranch. The second time I was even more disappointed and disgusted because the food tasted old as fuck. The burger was old and the bacon was old and burnt. Also, they did not give me one of my drinks that I paid for. Overall, the food is disgusting and I would never waste my money on their disgusting old ass food. Know that. read more

What surprised me most was how quickly they got the food out, especially considering how popular this spot seems to be. The flavors are rich and laid on thick. We ordered a veggie burrito, a bean and cheese burrito with rice added, and three tacos (carne, pollo asado, and Cameron's). The carne melted in my mouth, since it was rich with rendered fat, and the tortillas were crisped around the outside to melt and seal the layer of cheese inside. Probably our best overall dish was the bean-cheese-rice burrito -- covered in their salsas and peppers -- since it balanced all the ingredients and textures. On the other hand, the veggie burrito brought the flavor, but between the crema, pico, guacamole, and cheese it ended up soggy halfway through and the tortilla threatened to come loose. The shrimp and chicken were forgettable, and the tortillas come crispy off the griddle but they are damp by the time you walk anywhere to sit. What captures the truck in a nutshell are the chips they serve, covered in a seasoning that replicates Doritos flavor. Sometimes that is exactly what you need. But you can get it elsewhere easily too.

They all were delicious, my favorite was the tripa. Portions are good ($4.50/taco) and they have a variety of salsas, jalapeños, limes, etc in the seating area once you exit. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Jack in the Box was thoroughly disappointing. I was met with not only subpar service but also food that seemed like it had been sitting out for quite a while. The entire meal was cold, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste and quality. The fries, usually a fast-food delight, were limp and flavorless, and the burger felt uninviting, lacking the warmth and juiciness one would anticipate. It seems there's a significant lapse in attention to food preparation and service at this location. A hot, freshly prepared meal is fundamental to any dining experience, even fast food, but sadly, this visit did not meet even the most basic expectations. Was in a rush to dropped by the drive thru to order a " Grilled Southwest Chicken Salad" posted on the menu for 7.99 and a chicken fajita for 6.29, so easy math around $15-$16. I get to the counter and the person tells me the total is $18 and some change. I go wait what the salad is 7.99 and the fajita is 6.29 how did my total come out to $18+.
