Love this deal!! Economical and pretty good. Just make sure your fries and tacos or burgers haven't been sitting long under the lights.

Tried the Jack in the Box in Lincoln recently. Needed a fast lunch time pick-me-up. Got exactly what I was expecting ... not great but certainly not bad. I ordered takeout and when I got home, the food was reasonably warm and appetizing. The meal consisted of French Fries, Chicken Strips and an Iced Tea. Chicken was plentiful and tender. Good price, reasonably good and fast.

Store in dirty food is not properly stored and racist manger and the food is terrible

Cashier guy taking the order and rang up the bill was nice, friendly and helpful. The server who wanted to be elsewhere doing something else just threw the food on the table then stomped off in a huff. Now the bad: The place is a dump. It's a dive. Not clean. Dining room is cramped. Furniture is uncomfortable crap. There are telephone, electrical, security camera wires dangling from walls and ceilings. The place looks like it was last painted in the early 1970's. I took a peek into the kitchen and storage area and wished that I didn't. It's awful. Looks like a hoarder's storeroom. I tried to use the restroom. The toilet was clogged, water running over the top of the bowl. I don't know the last health department inspection grade, if an inspection has ever occurred. Really, I've eaten at 100's of sketchy cheap eats dives in dozens of developing countries, this place is worse than most of those. Despite the yummy food I don't think I'd return. My spouse and her sister also loved their food but were disappointed with the room.

Most disappointing is that we ordered delivery, wrote asking for chips and salsas, and got no chips and salsa despite ordering multiple sides of guac and beans and typing it clearly in. My mom called and there were various excuses and they offered credit for the guac, but the truth is that's a big game changer if it's absent when you order Mexican food. We don't live here so a credit isn't super useful. I'd go for the chile relleno and burrito. The rest prob not.

I didn't know what to expect, but based on the name, I knew I was coming for omakase. Andrew explained what it was, a fusion of Japanese & Mexican cuisine with locally grown ingredients all prepared at the bar. (It appeared that the kitchen was just for dishes & supplies.) He said some things I couldn't translate in my head (not because it wasn't English but because I have trouble hearing), but i knew I wanted Omakase, so confirmed we were going with that. They are very attentive to allergy sensitivity as they asked prior to preparing the meal. Be prepared for the price at 85pp, but it was absolutely delicious. Each 1 of the 6 course meal was a unique blend of the cultural flavors. The staff explains each plate as it comes out in carefully plated presentations. I also had the honey glazed ice cream topped with caviar. Everything was delicious. I was able to walk in but I happen to come in before the dinner rush. I recommend making reservations if you wanted to assure a spot.

It's a very modern, small restaurant, and the bar seating is definitely the focal point of the space, though the overall vibe felt a little cold with minimal decoration. I'd love to come back to try their full omakase experience eventually, but the service was a real letdown. Even though we were the only two people in the restaurant most of the time, we felt like an inconvenience. At one point, I said out loud that we were ready to order; the staff including our waitress stopped for a second, looked at us, and then just went back to what they were doing without acknowledging us. It was as if we were on her time, and she was making it clear that she would get to us when she felt like it, not when we were ready. The wait for food was also way too long. Despite being the only ones there, I waited about 40 minutes for my ceviche mixto bowl ($22). For a raw dish that requires no actual cooking, that kind of delay in such a small space is hard to justify. We also had the broiled oysters ($15) and oyster shooters ($5), which were solid. I noticed the drink menu didn't have many sweet cocktail options, so I asked if they could make me a lemon drop instead; and they granted the request. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The food and drinks are great, but the service and kitchen speed really need to be more attentive to match the quality of the menu.

Since every state in Mexico cooks staples differently we were curious to try Oaxacan Cuisine. The restaurant feels like a restaurant in Mexico, we sat in the second back room and we felt like we were transported to a restaurant town in Mexico. The server was great, nice and friendly and the food was amazing! I ordered their Oaxacan Style Ceviche and it was so good! It came out in a molcajete style plate, and it looked small, however it wasn't, the portion was generous! Our family member ordered the pozole and they shared it was also delicious. I ordered from their Mezcalito Specials menu (green) and chose the Baja Fish Tacos ($18). I like the part that it came with rice and black beans. It included two fish tacos. Since I couldn't decide between grilled or fried I got one of each. The fish were beer battered with cabbage, mango, pico, avocado | opted out of the cilantro and onion | Chipotle Aioli on the side just in case I found it too spicy for my taste. It turned out that it added to wonderful flavors on the tacos. Unfortunately, the chips and salsa was not complimentary. Purchase separately. The servers were friendly and welcoming and it made for a pleasant first time experience! There are two dining sections so don't fret when you see the dining area full as you enter the restaurant. There is also a picnic bench under covered roof outside patio dining. You won't be disappointed! No wonder they are at almost perfect 5-stars in Yelp. Instagram: @mezcalitorocklin Review #4055
