I come here about twice to three times a week. Usually around 4 am after I get off work. Every single time I am told I cannot order due to a subsystem update. This place has really gone down hill This morning 10/ 12 /17 I went in there to get some breakfast there was one customer sitting at the tables and one at the drive-through, after standing there at the counter for over five minutes I finally got fed up with waiting and shouted out , a young boy whose name I couldn't read on his badge finally appeared even though the other two employees had seen me standing there , "oh sorry there's only two of us " well I could see there was at least three so I guess math is not his strong point He was too busy chatting to a customer about nothing instead of doing his job which is to serve people, there was food being delivered to the counter which he was ignoring even though the buzzer was sounding, the customer who was waiting didn't get his food as soon as he should've I will no longer be eating food from this Jack-in-the-Box which I have done for years It's a pity you can't give this place minus stars don't bother going. read more

Suggestion. Rather than being a smart ass, why not try being nice and help them do a better job. These people usually work for minimum wage and not a little training. Do you want cheese on that. What a disappointment at this location. Tried inside dining. The store is a dirty mess. The soda machine is out of flavors and very little carbonation. The fries were hot and good, but the Jumbo Jacks not so much. They are assembled with no thought involved, just slopped together. Mine was to be with cheese but no cheese. One of my biggest pet peeves is stupidity - and fewer things frequently showcase the talent of stupidity better than a drive thru window. The only thing I can combat stupidity with is being a smart ass. The menu board indicates #8 to be a "Jumbo Jack with Cheese"...I approached the speaker box and ordered a number 8. The voice returns "Do you want cheese on that?"...I replied "would I like cheese on my jumbo jack with cheese? Yes, I think I will enjoy cheese on my jumbo jack with cheese tonight..." Well since this was my first and only Jack in the Box experience, I don't have a lot to compare this visit to but I enjoyed JITB. The food was decent for what it was but the best part about this place was the service. There was a woman there that was so nice and helpful. Let me preface this review by saying I was skeptical to eat here after seeing a story on the news where a customer found a lump of gooey substance in this drink (I didn't see a follow-up story after lab tests came back to say what it was). Haven't been to this restaurant in a long time due to very slow service, luke warm food, and bad attitude from the work staff . . . but I thought I would give it anouther try today . . . and guess what something changed. With that said, todays quick breakfast on the go was very nice. The order at the drive through was taken promptly, and I was greeted with a smile at the window . . . after a short wait my food arrived hot and fresh. Extreme Sausage Sandwich . . . First time they charged me for 2 order of fries & only gave me 1 & didn't give them to me & the meat on the burgers tasted majorly burnt. Also, the fries I did get were almost completely cold. I've been here a few times because they're open late but I wouldn't really recommend it if you're in a hurry. Here's my experiences... The first time I ever came in, it was about 9 or 10pm and I figured it was going to be quick so I had my gf and daughter wait in the car while I ordered. It ended up being 35 minutes! There was an employee who's mom was picking her up and was having a dispute with the manager in the lobby. The employee and her mom were arguing in front of their customers and it was awkward. The manager was real cool and kept telling me sorry for the inconvenience and after awhile I was starting to get a little frustrated but I figured "hey it happens sometimes." So I asked the manager if he could give me a free shake for my daughter for the inconvenience and he didn't hesitate at all and said yes. after awhile, there was an employee who came out from the back and I guess was getting a register ready for the night but he kept messing up so that must've been what was holding everybody up because I could see the annoyance and frustration in the manager and some of the worker's faces when he came out and still wasn't done. After it all, I figured okay, but it won't stop me from going there again. So I went another time a few weeks later.... This time I went, I went through the drive thru. It was an average time of waiting, so about 10 minutes. The female who handed me my food at the window wasn't rude but was just not nice or anything at all. She didn't smile, didn't ask if we needed any sauces, and was just real quick and weird. Almost like she was just like "here, get outta here" lol Her whole demeanor wasn't nice and customer service like at all. This seems to be more and more common in fast food restaurants nowadays but it's still annoying. Seriously. Like how do you mess up and ruin an experience so badly. The staff, management, and even the food was horrible. May have ruined JITB for us for ever. First off, their computers were down, and told us we had to wait ten min. to order. To order!! Really!? So after we asked if they could get a good old pen and paper to write down the order, they were able to get us to the first window. There were no other cars in line. We get to the window and these losers straight up serve us soda from a line of 2 liter bottles. Flat, warm drinks. And then... these clowns skip our order, and make 40 tacos and make us wait for them to slowly and painfully stuff them into the bags. And then... the cooks actually take a break. As in stop working while we wait for our food. This whole time we are sitting in the car watching this unfold. 15 min. has passed by and I'm desperately asking for the lady to come to the window so I can just get my money back and leave. Holding my money hostage, this lady starts bad mouthing her boss and general manager and how everything is their fault. Cussing, swearing, and flat out speaking hate about her job. 20 min. now pass by. And then... by a miracle of culinary justice, I see my order. Just sitting there. For a long time. While they walk around trying to fix the Coke machines and computers. Ignoring my desperate plea for a refund. As I sit with my hands waving from the car, the lady person who is still counting these 40 some tacos that must be for herself or for someone other than a customer who has been waiting for their food finally she hands me the stinking food. As we start digging into the meal, starving from the long wait, the fries are older than the wait, the Coke still flat from being served from a 2 liter from Walmart and the burgers at least decent. I don't know if they are just always understaffed, or if they aren't trained to handle 4 cars in the drive thru.. But we don't plan on going back. 5th time is not a charm. The food was hot and the order was actually correct, but sweet Jesus if I get stuck in that drive thru for over 20 minutes again I'm going to lose it. Every time they tell you to go to the second window but stop you at the first one so that they can catch up with their orders.. There were only 4 cars and it literally took 25 minutes!! Went there today for some tacos for 7 kids. I love baby sitting and they love tacos. I ordered 12 sets of tacos. They rang me up for 6. I told them no 12 sets meaning 24 tacos. They lady was pissed. I asked for 3 water cups while we waited, she gave me 2. I asked for one more cup and she made terrible noises and took her sweet time. We finally got our order and she gave me literally 6 sauce packets. I asked for more and she walked away. So much for management. I hate this place. Potato Cheese Bacon thing is very good. The service is good. They are quite forgetful at the drive thru so make sure you check you bag before pulling off. I really think that its something in the air over their on Rittenhouse and Ocotillo because that Walmart forgets to place items in my bag too (twice now)....and the Petco did the same thing this week. I'm just sayin'....CHECK you BAGS. The food was fresh and made to order ...the bacon was a little chewy - makes me wanna give up pork. The place opened after I moved to San Tan Valley about ten years ago. I have seen a lot of staff come and go, the place used to always be a mess and have terrible customer service.
