Had a great time here! Bartenders answered questions. Good food selection. Pretty cool aesthetic if you like retro dive. There was a speed dating event upstairs, karaoke at the bar (which was super fun! Everyone was really into it!), a lady selling baked goods to support the Buffalo City Mission, etc. Everyone is very nice and talks to you like they know you which I love! LGBQ+ friendly. Philly cheesesteak dip was super good. I don't go to bars often but still will come back sometime! I only wish this were somewhere other than Elmwood only due to the parking issue (mostly bothersome when it's freezing out lol) so if you're not familiar with the area it is street parking. Still worth it for the great vibes :)

Food is delicious! Don't be fooled by the casual environment. Order the poutine & pizza it's the best!

Really loved this place! Stopped in for brunch for an early birthday celebration. We sat outside which was enjoyable as there was a lot of activity and sightseeing on Elmwood. Paige was our waitress and she was amazing! She was very sweet and got us everything we needed and then some (hello birthday shot!) The food was the best part of our visit. The loaded tots were 5/5 and I would highly recommend them! I also enjoyed the biscuits and sausage gravy. Fruit was very fresh and a nice light touch to the heavy breakfast I'm looking forward to coming back for something new!

Visited for brunch twice, everything we've tried has been delicious, and the service has been great. I don't suggest showing up for brunch without a reservation, during both visits I passed by a pile of people by the door and was seated quickly.

Had a good time with the group and the drinks were amazing! Porn star martini was the fave out of the 4 drinks we got. The Married couple was unique and provided a much needed laugh as a person in the group is getting a divorce. The Mexican firing squad was strong! And the other drink was okay. It was our least favorite so I dont remember the name. The strip sirloin pizza was great!

Have eaten here several times for takeout, brunch, lunch, dinner, late night inside and on the patio. Food is consistently good every time and staff are friendly. Dog friendly too! I love that they have tots lol Supportive of the elmwood village, welcoming and has live music consistently.

The atmosphere was nice even on the day of a Bills game. In the upstairs back room there are two TVs to watch the game and service was still great. We had Paige as our server and she was attentive and fast. The French toast was delicious. The Omar Benedict was flavorful as well. We will definitely be returning for another brunch.

Review from 3/2024 Classic eggs Benny 7/10 Thicker sauce. Good consistency. Not much flavor though. The "Canadian bacon" was actually ham. Potatoes 7/10 were a little firm in the middle, not cooked enough.

Was nice they were able to get us on the patio for a gorgeous Saturday morning to people watch and enjoy brunch outside. Came here on my husbands birthday and enjoyed breakfast before a long day of family and celebrating. The cocktails were fun - his came with a little rubber ducky in it - cute little twist! He loved his tater tots and the special sandwich that was on French toast with eggs and bacon. I enjoyed the eggs in purgatory but it was too much sauce and not enough eggs - the goat cheese was a good touch though, made them even more creamy. Our server was great as well. We'd def come back!!

I stopped here to have a little mini reunion with some friends on my way through town. It was a great welcoming atmosphere in one of my favorite parts of Buffalo. The server was a fantastic, though I unfortunately don't recall his name since it was about 7 weeks ago. The food was nothing special - pretty standard - so that's where the one star gets docked, as the whole group felt that way and we all got something different. I liked the tots more than the Eggs Benedict which should have been "the star". I would go back to try other items though, especially for lunch or dinner.

I'll be moving to the area and we decided to stop for lunch after touring some nearby places. We loved pretty much everything about Jack Rabbit. Absolutely dripping in rainbow flags and inclusivity. Emo music playing. Great service and delicious food. We had some beers from breweries in Rochester-- all were very good especially the pink starburst one. There were lots of locals that were on first name bases with the staff, which is always a good sign. Can't wait to come back when I, too, will be a local!

Jack Rabbit is a total vibe. Amazing food, ambiance, service, and epic sound / music scene. It is an absolute Buffalo staple and we come back every time we're in town from San Diego, and bring our friends and family to experience the fun. Just look at this wallpaper. Obsessed.

Ask the Community - Jack Rabbit

A menu with prices would be nice, where can I see one.?

The best place to look unfortunately is in the pictures. There are some on Yelp and Google. You'll have to look at the dates to get the closest possible to the current menu and prices.

    Do you have gf options?

    Yes

How do you determine who is medically unable to be vaccinated?

We no longer require vaccinations, per local and state laws.

Do you need to be vaccinated to enter?

Yes, that way you do not have to wear a mask.

    Are reservations recommended for brunch?

Yes, but not required. We always keep some tables, and both bars, available for walk ins.

Edited a minute ago New…read moreUpon entering the establishment, the security guard took our IDs and he was holding a high-alcohol content beer, Hayburner, in one hand, and holding our ID's with the other. He seemed angry when my brother asked if our ID's had to be scanned, and really seemed to snap at my brother, but we shrugged it off and he scanned them and we went on with our night. Throughout the night, the security guard continued drinking these Hayburners. My brother and I were enjoying our evening, had not once had any issue with another patron or the bar, and we were in mid-conversation about piano, when I felt the guard standing behind me. He was just standing behind me, staring my brother down. It was a scary feeling. My brother, who has worked in the industry for 20 years, asked if everything was okay. The security guard approached my brother and started pushing him saying "Everything is okay with me is everything okay with you??" And my brother was walking backwards trying to de-escalate this seemingly intoxicated security guard. That's when I watched him grab my brother by both shoulders and push him backwards across the entire length of the bar, knocking him into people and objects, eventually pushing him out of the door. He even grabbed another guy and shoved him so hard against the wall that that guys beer went flying and he had purple and blue bruises from his grab. I desperately tried for the other woman security guard to understand he had just been assaulted and had done nothing wrong. She seemed to nod like she had seen this before, but wasn't going to do anything about it. My sister and I were astounded at the actions of this man. That's when he shoved me, a mid thirties woman not even half his size. Even after we were walking away from the bar, this security guard stood outside yelling towards us that he, direct quote, was going to "break our f***ng necks". This is negligence on the bar's behalf, for allowing an intoxicated security guard to a$$ault patrons. We immediately filed a police report, and they requested the video footage from the bar. The bar refused to provide any of the footage. Usually, bars who have nothing to hide are quick to comply- which was very telling in this case. We were never once asked to leave. We were just blind-sighted. I immediately called the bar after the incident and one of the owners, Amanda, who was tending the bar and witnessed the entire thing, cheerfully answered the phone. She had served my brother with no issue. I let her know her security guard had just assaulted us, and she said "ok?" And nothing further. This place does not give a rip about anyone's safety, especially not women's. It has been weeks and I'm still recovering from the pain of this night. Beware for your safety, women. I did what I could, but their actions will likely result in someone getting seriously hurt.

It was terrifying. I could've lost my brother, and we didn't even know why. For your own safety, don't fight back if confronted like this, report it instead. Paper trails save lives. On a brighter note: my brother absolutely crushed it on the mic earlier that night.

Iron Works is an ideal venue in a lot fo way- not too big, not too small, and the perfect place for an intimate experience with a band you enjoy. Most recently we saw Caligula Blushed for their first visit to Buffalo. My other half has been a fan of The Smiths since forever, but we have stopped seeing Morrissey in concert. This was the next best thing to seeing Johnny Marr in concert. Great show, good crowd, not too crowded, and people were actually there to see the show unlike when we saw Nick Lowe at Iron Works and some people would not stop talking!! Post-pandemic, but also anytime, I have to say how incredibly wonderful it is to get fresh air during a show. The garage style door by the stage was open letting in some natural night and lots of fresh air on a cool night, which is really perfect for a show. I'm over crowded, stuffy, hot, and dark. The opening leads to an adorable patio with lots of tables, chairs, and string lights. There's a platform with seating and a little balcony with seating. There are lots places to set your drink whole dancing as the platform and pillars all have ledges. There are two selve-serve water coolers, which is also great to see. I tried a summer cocktail - a Loganberry Dirty Shirley, which was super sweet but that's what it's designed to be. A Coke was $3 and the cocktail specials were $10. Mocktails are $8 and there are other n/a offerings as well, along side beer, liquor, and what have you. They have a garden burger and fries on the menu, in addition to other meat and cheese foods. Tickets to this show were $12, which is so reasonable for a night out. This is more fun than going to the movies and should definitely be a go to if you want to get out of the house. Fresh air, water, seating...all this sets Iron Works apart. If you haven't been, go, and of it's been awhile, go back. My other half was reluctant to go out but was so glad he did.
