We got the Chislic, and the cheese plate. The cheese plate was pretty disappointing, the cheese looked like it had sat out all day. No major flavor profiles, a basket of basic crackers to go along with it and olives. For the cost of a cheese plate I expected to be relatively satisfied with it. No fruits, jams, breads, spreadables (1). The fluidity of the dish was very stale, as well as the freshness. The Chislic is some of the best that I've had, having travelled far and wide, I can say without a doubt this is so far my favorite out of 18 countries and hundreds of restaurants. Our waitress seemed incredibly green, didn't seem familiar with the menu, upon checkout, added an erroneous item to our check, which I would've missed had I not gone over it, overall, I was disappointed in the visit that I had at Parker's bistro. I had had high hopes for my first visit, and was hoping for this to be a new favorite restaurant downtown. Wonderful ambience, absolutely stunning Chislic, great drinks, and warm staff regardless.

The bad: Once you get over the cool glasses you realize that you just paid 13 dollars for an absolutely packed glass of ice. GF Couldn't even get a sip out using a straw on the first pull. By the second pull, beverage was gone. Way overpriced for what you get which in essence is a tall glass of ice with a splash of booze. Sad.

The service, the food, and the drinks have always been well made…read more I usually come in when meeting my grandmother for lunch while on this side of town, the ambiance is great for casual lunch or supper. Not so loud you can't hear each other over the noise of the other patrons/music which is helpful when you're talking to someone with hearing loss. The food has never been wrong, always well made, the staff has always been kind, very warm. If you're looking for a casual restaurant to add to your rotation of different places to eat, I'd say that this would be a great choice.

If they were more diligent about covering the entire thing with cheese, it would have made it so much better. The amount of other toppings was sufficient but with the chunks of chicken, you only really got one bite of meat per slice which was a bummer. Mom and I shared the fried snickers and it was fun. It's best to eat it right away so you can enjoy the warm melting snickers covered in that fried shell because after a short while the ice cream cools it down and it loses that melty and gooey goodness. I probably wouldn't get it again but I'm glad I gave it a try. Overall our meal was fine and we both got full. I really liked the wonton chips and the bacon jam in the cheese sauce (I would 100% ask for more bacon jam on top of the cheese if I got it again!) My flatbread was a little disappointing from the lack of cheese. If there was the same amount of cheese on every piece that there was in the center piece it would have been great. But it still tasted good and I did eat it all. If I came back I'd probably try something else but I'd still say this is an ok place to grab dinner, even though the overall quality of my food wasn't the greatest.

But it seemed the real reason people came here was to drink, and do it very cheaply I might add! This seemed to be an "in between bar" as most people were coming and going to other venues, or looking to meet up with friends. Almost like a "home base" people seemed to meet here, leave, then come back to see who else had stopped in. This is definitely my kind of bar, and if I lived here this would be my spot.
