The inside was beautiful and clean. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was10/10 as were the drinks. I would 100% go back here again and try a lot more menu items. Not pictured were the blueberry pancakes that we also devoured, which were phenomenal! Such good portion sizes as well! Great place!

The food here is always cooked with love & infused with aromatic spices that combine flavors your taste buds need & will ask for more. Their Greek wrap, veggie bowl, green juice, & beet juice are my favorite picks. Everything here is always fresh The staff remembers you & is always friendly & professional even when they're at their busiest peak times. Very clean environment always ready for customers.

Moving back to NJ I was thrilled to find out Jackie's Grillette opened up in LF! Everything on the menu is super fresh, this is my favorite place to grab a quick healthy meal. My husband always gets the greek salad with chicken. They have the best homemade falafel in the area too. Service is always very friendly and all of the employees are attentive. The dining area is small but generally baby friendly! they have two high chairs available in the back. our little one loved the hummus, mujadara rice and french fries. the tables are all 2 person tables but you can combine them as needed for a larger party. i wouldnt recommend coming with a group larger than 4-5.

It is a small shop but they have many customers. You can take it to go or stay and eat indoors. Stopped in here one morning to see what they had for breakfast options. My avocado toast was very tasty. Just the right amount of flavor. The bread was thick and toasted so it did not get soggy. My smoothie was the perfect refreshment on one of hottest days of the year. I will definitely be back.

I am unapologetically a Jackie's Grillette stan. It's a go to for me when I'm craving something fresh, healthy, and quick. Even though this is a fast casual spot, quality is certainly not compromised. Everything is always delicious and you can tell it's made it order. It's perfect for take out or dining in - they have a cute seating area that's always clean and bright. I love the different grain bowls they offer especially the freekeh bowl. Can't get much better than the age old combination of grilled veggies, hummus, and grilled chicken. They also have great sandwiches, salads, breakfasts, and coffee! (Aka everything on the menu is great)

We had an hour to kill while getting our dog checked at the Animal Eye Hospital down the road. So we decided to get lunch, and saw this on Yelp. Looked like a diner online. But it's a cute cafe with a lot of selections. The Lebanese menu looked good. Delicious Lamb kofta with chicken kabab platter - shared by 2-3 people with rice, cabbage, and cucumber salad. We also had great falafel. Mushroom side dish was so-so.

I got to check this place out a few times. I loved their vegebowl & grilled vegetable sandwiches. It's tough to find plant based or vegetarian options. The service was quick and friendly. The prices were reasonable and the portion size was big. I was able to get 2 meals out of the bowl but I killed my sandwich. I appreciated that they used paper to go containers but am not a fan of all the plastic used for their drinks or sauces.

I never thought a small place like this can pump out some reallyyyyy great food! With a huge menu I could not decide what to eat. Being it was my breakfast I went for the biggest thing on the menu and I loved it! It was juicy, flavorful, tender and you can taste the quality in every bite. The rice was fluffy and not dried out. The salad was tangy with the lemon dressing. The meats were soooo heavenly. This meal could have been good enough for two people especially if you get an appetizer. The menu it self has you wondering what to choose, but either way you will want to come back to try more. They have a wide variety of drink options that will hit them taste buds. FYI: Shared parking in this mini strip mall.

Dishes at Jackie's are well orchestrated with balanced flavors and creative touches. My favorite there is the avocado toast with poached eggs. It comes layered with fresh avocado, tomatoes, eggs, and micro greens. You also can't go wrong with any of their omelettes Service is friendly and fast Cozy, small town vibes

A very belated review and post! These photos are from the past year! I enjoy Jackie's Grillette for lunch- a good option for fresher and less chain-related mass produced food. They can be a little pricy, but again since it is not like a mass production I think it is worth it. The salads, bowls, and wraps are always good. I usually pre-order and they're ready in a timely manner like 20-30 depending on a lunch rush.

It was really refreshing and perfect for a warm day. For entrees, we ordered the short rib hash, chicken and waffles, and the steak and eggs. I had a little of each, but my favorite was the short rib hash. Great flavor and the sauce was fantastic. The steak had a perfect cook on it, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful as well. The server was friendly and extremely attentive. He recommended a good dessert which we ended up splitting. When in doubt go with the chocolate brownie Esther vanilla ice cream !

We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in the dining room as long as we could wrap up before 1:30, which we appreciated. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

It was good we had something to munch on cause our dinner, 2 burgers and a flatbread, arrived 45 mins later. The burgers were wrong, she said she had 2 Cali burgers. My husband ordered a cheeseburger, I did order the Cali. I took one, they sent the other back for correction. Once I went to eat mine I realized it was not a Cali burger. That had to be returned also. Both burgers were ordered medium rare, they were cooked well done. My friend did enjoy her flatbread. The manager did come by with a half hearted apology. She offered free dessert, we're not dessert eaters so did not accept the offer. Looking back, we should gave taken dessert to go. I wouldn't go back. I felt not one employee offered good service.

The interior was a quirky mix of hand-painted nautical scenes and a shrine to -- who I presumed was -- a wildly successful collegiate wrestler, Mean Gene Mills. "Do you like spicy food?" a voice piped up from behind me. "Yeah, sure." I replied, turning to see a sprightly older man sporting wide glasses and a leather jacket. I'd noticed him earlier rolling up on a three-wheeled motorcycle as I approached the place, parking it neatly around the side. "I'd go for the Chili Dog and the Big Kahuna," he suggested with a grin, adding, "The chili's not spicy but it's damn good." As it happened, I'd already ordered a pair of chili dogs but I nodded appreciatively. "I'll have to try the Kahuna next time." I said. The man introduced himself as the owner and brother of the locally lionized Gene the Pinning Machine. I could see he was proud of his brother's legacy and this hotdog spot he seemed to view as a hobby. "I'm in real estate mostly," he explained. "The hotdog stand is just for fun. I always wanted a spot by the river, saw this place and snapped it up." And he spoke of it like a hobbyist. He told me about his sausage guy up in upstate New York who hand-makes the dogs, sausages, and casings fuel his culinary creations. While some joints boil or fry their hot dogs, he opts for a series of convection ovens--air-frying them. A quirky and distinctive twist I haven't seen before. It's that hobbyist's eye, as I am saying. We chatted a bit longer before he ducked behind the counter to check in with the kids working the line. He greeted each one with a warm chummy hug and their faces lit up at the sight of him. It was clear from the easy banter that he's a boss who's genuinely well-liked. Now, about that dog: An air-fried hot dog feels a little out there--like baking one, you'd figure it'd dry out. But honestly? It wasn't half bad. Crisp on the outside, yet still decently average on the hot-dog-o-meter. Definitely a step up from the boiled variety. The chili, though? Hands down, phenomenal. That, along with the sausage, comes from his guy up in Syracuse -- the same one crafting those hot dogs. Is it worth hauling a box truck to upstate New York for? Hard to say. But it's absolutely worth my five-minute drive to Woodlandd Park to eat. The prices feel right in line with what you'd expect from a boutique roadside spot like this. The interior's compact--think a pair of small tables and a counter. Out back back there's a small deck with a few tables and chairs overlooking the river. Could be a sweet spot when the weather's kind. The menu is substantial with the addition of an ice cream bar, all Gelotti which is a North Jersey staple. The hotdog is a pretty humble food-stuff, if you like them then you won't be disappointed here. It's worth a stop for lunch if you're ever in town.

I went back a few days after my first visit because they were THAT good. When I walked in, I was greeted by the owner, Wayne Mills. We had a lovely conversation about how he opened Lover Dogs and how Lover Dogs has been his dream retirement. On the walls, there are photos of his brother Gene who was a renowned wrestler in the 80s. Wayne gave me a tour of the outdoor patio and the downstairs area that he plans to expand for breakfast/brunch. The patio area overlooks a nice view of the Passaic River. After the little tour, I ate my all the way hot dog. Lover Dogs hot dogs are air-fried which I thought was very unique. The chilli sauce is out of this world. Super flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Wayne explained that he spent a long time perfecting the recipe and worked with several people to develop. The hot dogs are Hoffman brand which he discovered when he visited his brother many years ago at Syracuse University. It was really nice to see Wayne pay homage to the previous building owners with a framed collage on the wall. I am a local history nerd so I really loved seeing all of the old photos dating back to the early 1900s. Please visit this awesome local business!
