The food is meh, at best. I have not experienced any issues with the cleanliness of the restaurant. The employees are always helpful.

It's in an old Long John…read moreSilver's building with a small covered patio out front which will be great during warmer weather. Parking is plentiful and access is easy to enter the building. The interior is still decorated mostly as a Long John Silver's but it works. There are additional photos, etc. typical of Jamaica added. You order at the rear along the counter and they assemble the plate for you right away. The menu is available at the counter, and the workers are very helpful in describing the options and making suggestions. The food is placed in to-go containers even if you are dining in. We ordered the chicken and bacon pasta, jerk chicken, curried chicken, and curried goat. Sides were plantains, sauteed cabbage, and Spanish rice. The plantains were outstanding. They were cooked perfectly, with a gentle sweentess without being mushy. The sauteed cabbage was also excellent. It had a nice sourness to it that complimented the proteins very well. The Spanish rice was also good, with slightly different seasoning than Mexican rice. The jerk chicken was exceptional. The sauce was spicy without being overwhelming and the flavor exploded in the mouth. The curried chicken and goat were also very good. The curry had the slightest spiciness and a lot of flavor. One caution about the goat is be aware there may be shards of bone included. It appears they use a cleaver to cut the meat and this results in some sharp bone pieces. It's not a problem as long as you are aware. The chicken and bacon pasta was surprisingly good. It is much more than just a pasta dish with outstanding flavor and plenty of added proteins. All proteins were cooked to perfection and everything was so very good. Fi Mi Pot is a great addition to the Ft. O restaurant scene and absolutely deserves many visits.

It was amazing and pretty affordable on the cheaper side On the phone while ordering the guy was very nice, when I got there it was nothing but good vibes and a chill space to eat. I could see the passion in his eyes. It's hard to give anything an honest five stars but I had no complaints. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others I've heard nothing but good reviews from those who have tried it before me. Great service overall!

They were great as always, just enough spice, but not over powering. Then I ordered chicken tender, fries and a order of hush puppies. The food came at fresh, hot and yummy. They were also nice to me. The problem is the cleanliness. Tables and floors felt neglected and the bathrooms were straight up filthy. That alone hurt the experience. Service was fine at best. The server showed up, took orders, and dropped food. No warmth. No real attention. It felt like she was counting down the minutes until her shift ended. Food was a mixed bag. The tamales ($8.00) came out hot and fresh, which is a good start. Flavor was missing. The sauce did all the work. Without it, they were bland to the point of tasting like bottled water. The mac and cheese was average. The noodles were cooked right. The cheese sauce had no personality. No seasoning. Nothing memorable. The chicken tenders ($14.00) were done right. Fresh. Crunchy on the outside. Juicy inside. For a fast casual spot, this was a win. The chicken and sausage gumbo ($12.00) was easily the best thing on the table. Great flavor. Proper spice. This is the dish they should be proud of. The issue is portion balance. Way too much broth and not enough chicken, sausage, or rice. It felt like an 80 percent liquid bowl. Flavor was there, value was not. Also odd detail, real fork for coleslaw, plastic spoon tossed into the gumbo bowl. Overall, Champy's has a fun vibe and one strong dish, but it gets dragged down by cleanliness issues, lackluster service, and bland sides. I left feeling underwhelmed.
