    Firecracker Chicken Wraps

Stopped in on Mother's Day to get our favorite chicken bites and beer / wine and enjoyed every minute with our Emily & Sara who are absolutely the best. We feel more like family. Thank you for making my Mother's Day so special

Went today Saturday around 1pm empty restaurant 1 table of 3 in bar area and 1 table of 4 in the main restaurant. We chose to sit at the bar for a quick bite. Server/bartender came and was very pleasant and got our drink orders. Wife had a diet coke and for myself a draft beer. After the drink order our server was busy with call in take out orders which way fine. We were deciding what we wanted. When she was able to come back the wife got parmesan crusted chicken and brussle sprouts while I got firecracker chicken rolls. The chicken was not a whole breast looked like 3 random pieces put on the plate hidden in cheese. It was barely done, her Brussel sprouts were burt. My chicken rolls that should be crispy on the outside were soggy and not a piece a chicken to be found. All that said, I was not going to post anything and just check it off as another bad experience. But we had been finished with our meal for 10 to 15 minutes with no return from server. Then we saw her in the kitchen area texting feverishly on her phone. This continued for another 10 minutes with her in plain sight. I was going to let the sub-par food go but her disregard for her customers made me feel the need to review

    Smallest 6 oz steak ever

Worst service, smallest steaks ever, cooked incorrectly, broccoli was fishy, macaroni was dry, bill was wrong. Don't waste your time.

Salmon with rice and brussel sprouts side

Friday night "therapy" at Longhorn Steak house was our chosen destination after the work week. Let's start with the "therapy" portion of our meal - cocktails! I've been on a spicy Bloody Mary kick of late, so requested one here. It had a good taste, but no olives or lime, just a the drink by itself. It was naked! I opted for the salmon with the Brussels for a side. Salmon was cooked well and the sprouts were very good. Service was just ok, but they seemed short staffed, so let's give them a pass!

Burnt brussel sprouts. Salvaged three; the rest uneaten.

This location was busy during main lunch hours on a Monday, when I came in. Promptly led to a table, I ordered a medium well "Outlaw Ribeye," with crispy brussel sprouts. And, added soup: shrimp & lobster chowder. The quality of the steak itself was excellent: juicy, tender, and a good size. The gratis wheat roll deserved commendation, as well. Yes, this review wouldn't have been written if no other issues was about food. First problem: only half of my steak was prepared medium well. The other half was more medium rare. Basically, a bad rush job. Next, the soup: at just $2.99 to add, I wasn't expecting much. Especially, shrimp and "lobster" chowder. Those quotes are on purpose, because the lobster pulled a disappearing act--could be some molecules were there. It reminded me of that pricey seafood joint in Seattle that offered a crab salad consisting 100% of krab. And, my chowder had more of a stew consistency. The last fault on another food item assured my deduction that there were lousy, inept cooks in the kitchen. Because, most of the brussel sprouts were burnt (see photo). Dark orange to brown, friable, extra bitter. Additionally, they were over seasoned with sugar, because why not? I salvaged about three sprouts and left a full dish uneaten. The remaining issues were with service & silverware. I'd chosen to drink water and was asked if I'd like lemon (inside). I replied yes. I was given water without. When I reminded my server, instead of "sorry, I will get you another water" or "apologies, I will get you some lemon," I got a curt "OK" and later a cup of four lemon wedges. Which is akin to: "take all of these and shut up about it from now on." My server also forgot how to smile, as a job requisite. Possibly not, however, because there was a cheerful attitude in his interactions with known customers/associates. The silverware gripe? No butter knife. It was comical/silly to hold a huge steak knife and lift butter morsels. Again, I would've ignored service and not written this review. Unfortunately, there were too many other food specific faults that dragged down a great steak.

Amazing food, best staff and great atmosphere.

    Texas tonions and bread
    Jaime K.

We decided to give this place a try bc we wanted steak and already had steak at the two other close steakhouses. There was a 45+ min wait for a table so we chose to sit at the bar. Service was really good, very attentive. We ordered the Texas Tonions and it was tasty, thankfully fried in a non potato/non shellfish oil. The portion size was huge. They brought us bread and butter, the bread is a multi grain wheat. It had a crispy outer crust. We both ordered the porterhouse and it was brought to us as ordered- rare. For me, the seasoning was too overpowering and tasted to close to a bowl of chili, but the meat was tender and so I just rubbed off the thick crust of spices. This is honestly why I am giving a four star and not five. Spices should be used to enhance the meat, not drown it with a thick layer of cumin, paprika, pepper, salt, etc...

Restaurant is beautiful with warm colors and wood touches you associate with a steakhouse. My order: Cocktail: Vieux Carre 5 stars - fantastic! A must try if you like Bourbon. App: Tuna Poke, 4 stars - fresh and tasty tuna with crispy wonton chips - there was also warm white rice on the plate which wasn't cohesive with the light, cold tuna. I left the rice on the plate. Truffle, Parm., Meatloaf, 4 stars - this was a very- very, rich, decadent meatloaf. Large portion with excellent mashed potatoes - the heavy richness of the meatloaf with the buttery mash was over the top - proceed with caution lol! Wait staff was fantastic, efficient and engaging.

Not sure if they are always this busy but they are located in what appears to be the heart of Chattanooga near a bunch of hotels so I suspect it is always a bit of a wait. I got their house salad with a side of ranch, and then for dinner I got what may have been a special - it was a 7 oz filet, crabcake, and shrimp, on a mashed potatoes. I will say that while I did enjoy the food, it is not the best steak, crabcake, or shrimp I've ever had. I do want to say that our waitress went out of her way to be amazing. By that point in the day, I was exhausted and just so hungry. She was attentive, got our food out to us fast, and was so kind.

After reading all the reviews we headed south and are pleased to share that everything and everyone we encountered were absolutely top notch...food was prepared perfectly from the breads, calamari, trout and swordfish; and the proportions more than enough to require a stroll along the river after the Chocolate chocolate cake. Our server was amazing and you can't beat the riverfront location and views. They don't take reservations and those negative reviews usually involved large parties and special needs that take time to accommodate. Check Scottie's out, and enjoy! I would have given 5 Stars except for the pay to park phenomenon and QR codes that can be just annoying and have appeared in every major city. Nothing is free anymore including parking. We will be back.

The stuffed mushrooms did not taste fresh and also lacked flavor. The calamari lacked flavor as well and was a big disappointment. The server was nice and set our expectations, advising that some of the items we ordered were more of an acquired taste, but we were still disappointed. There was a server change at one point, and the new server was not careful when delivering the food and spilled the gumbo upon arrival. Considering the price and value, this place is definitely a one and done.
