My wife and I went on 08/18/2026.It was my idea.i said I'd get a hamburger cause I was dieting.I got my plate and all was well till 1/2 through the burger I was aware I was chewing glass.I informed the wait staff to send for the manager.result he took the complaint and a sample of the chewed section I had saved and the manager never came back, just the check minus my burger and the waiter doing his best.Ivguess that's one way to handle the issue.That is not an apology shirking your duty as mngmt.I hope the owner reads this.I had an uncomfortable time getting all the glass out between my teeth and have not suffered any bleeding.This never happened at chilies,I can tell you that.Kitchen staff needs to be packed and that manager needs to look for a new job .the weight staff dude is not a non factor,he did have access to the burger. read more

Oh my goodness What a nice lunch we had at LongHorn! And so very affordable. My husband had a chicken sandwich and onion soup. I had a salad with loaded potato soup. My husband loved the sandwich and I tasted his French onion soup and it was delicious! My salad was lovely, with cheese and croutons. Definitely try the blue cheese! I would not have the potato soup next time. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. Service was excellent. A young man waited on us and he was very good. Went today Saturday around 1pm empty restaurant 1 table of 3 in bar area and 1 table of 4 in the main restaurant. We chose to sit at the bar for a quick bite. Server/bartender came and was very pleasant and got our drink orders. Wife had a diet coke and for myself a draft beer. After the drink order our server was busy with call in take out orders which way fine. We were deciding what we wanted. When she was able to come back the wife got parmesan crusted chicken and brussle sprouts while I got firecracker chicken rolls. The chicken was not a whole breast looked like 3 random pieces put on the plate hidden in cheese. It was barely done, her Brussel sprouts were burt. My chicken rolls that should be crispy on the outside were soggy and not a piece a chicken to be found. All that said, I was not going to post anything and just check it off as another bad experience. But we had been finished with our meal for 10 to 15 minutes with no return from server. I ordered a $27.95 six ounce filet that was thinner (about half an inch) than my wife's six ounce sirloin. When the food runner brought it he announced my steak as a sirloin. (Apparently even he thought it was on the thin side.) I asked our server if it was actually a filet and she said yes. I told her I was used to filets being a whole lot thicker, and she said that this was the way they serve filets. I had also asked for medium rare, but got medium, which is not surprising given how thin a piece of beef it was. I told her it was cooked fine just because I didn't want to make a big deal in front of family, and I didn't want to have to wait for another steak to be cooked when the rest of our party was already eating. If and when we go back, I certainly won't be paying almost $30 for a skinny little filet. I'm not inclined to return. read more

This location was busy during main lunch hours on a Monday, when I came in. Promptly led to a table, I ordered a medium well "Outlaw Ribeye," with crispy brussel sprouts. And, added soup: shrimp & lobster chowder. The quality of the steak itself was excellent: juicy, tender, and a good size. The gratis wheat roll deserved commendation, as well. Yes, this review wouldn't have been written if no other issues was about food. First problem: only half of my steak was prepared medium well. The other half was more medium rare. Basically, a bad rush job. Next, the soup: at just $2.99 to add, I wasn't expecting much. Especially, shrimp and "lobster" chowder. Those quotes are on purpose, because the lobster pulled a disappearing act--could be some molecules were there. It reminded me of that pricey seafood joint in Seattle that offered a crab salad consisting 100% of krab. And, my chowder had more of a stew consistency. The last fault on another food item assured my deduction that there were lousy, inept cooks in the kitchen. Because, most of the brussel sprouts were burnt (see photo). Dark orange to brown, friable, extra bitter. Additionally, they were over seasoned with sugar, because why not? I salvaged about three sprouts and left a full dish uneaten. The remaining issues were with service & silverware. I'd chosen to drink water and was asked if I'd like lemon (inside). I replied yes. I was given water without. When I reminded my server, instead of "sorry, I will get you another water" or "apologies, I will get you some lemon," I got a curt "OK" and later a cup of four lemon wedges. Which is akin to: "take all of these and shut up about it from now on." My server also forgot how to smile, as a job requisite. Possibly not, however, because there was a cheerful attitude in his interactions with known customers/associates. The silverware gripe? No butter knife. It was comical/silly to hold a huge steak knife and lift butter morsels. Again, I would've ignored service and not written this review. I'll start by saying....... I used to work at longhorn steakhouse and I've always like their food. I had received a gift card so we decided to go while out running errands in a Monday night. I know staffing has been a challenge since Covid. They only had about 25% of restaurant seated and on a small wait I assumed since probably short staffed. We waited about 15 minutes and we were seated along with about 5 other parties.......at once...... was a little concerned that service may not be great and food may take some time since they seated so many people at once. No biggie, we aren't in a big hurry. The server was sweet but evidently had several other tables in a section we couldn't see since she stopped by rarely and seemed hurried. We were notified they were out of several things... not a problem, it happens...supply chain issues etc. Apps came out, really warm and good. Placed order.... Then the real wait began. It took 45-50 minutes to get entrees........ still not the end of the world. None of it was end of world but once food finally came it was cold. Even sitting in heat lamp should've had a little warmth. We ate some, flavor was good. Server finally made it back, we're able to get some to go boxes. Bigger issues in the world than slow service and cold food at a steakhouse but seemed like maybe a little teamwork and hustle around there could've easily improved situation. Tables were dirty entire time we were in there, nobody seemed to have any sense of urgency or "give a crap" about things. I understand since covid and staffing issues, supply chain issues and just general attitudes of some folks and businesses has seemed lower especially at "chain" restaurants. We eat at this location weekly, and our experiences have been really great! The servers are friendly and professional & attentive. The steaks & baked pities are delish. Today I had the Strawberry/Pecan/Chicken Salad for lunch special for only $10 and it was fabulous. The grapes they included were left whole, so if you love grapes you'll love that. When we got the filet the guy that delivery it said "here the sirloin".... the cut was less 1/2 inch high and I did replay saying we did order a filet mignon. The guy replayed, yet it is a filet... Service was really good, very attentive. We ordered the Texas Tonions and it was tasty, thankfully fried in a non potato/non shellfish oil. The portion size was huge. They brought us bread and butter, the bread is a multi grain wheat. It had a crispy outer crust. We both ordered the porterhouse and it was brought to us as ordered- rare. For me, the seasoning was too overpowering and tasted to close to a bowl of chili, but the meat was tender and so I just rubbed off the thick crust of spices. We came in on a busy Friday night and waited about 15 minutes for a table. Our server was super busy but still attentive. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and were quickly given a fresh loaf of bread to munch on as we looked over the menu. Hubby ordered the prime rib sandwich. I got the chopped sirloin platter and our daughter ordered the chicken tenders from the kids menu. The food was spaced nicely with plenty of time between the appetizer and entrees. Everything was cooked perfectly and was served at a good temperature. We had some trouble getting drink refills but that wasn't a big deal. Went for a nice dinner and was not disappointed. The food was amazing. We always get the Texas Tonion to start and it was on point as always. I got the New York Strip it was juicy and full of flavor. The fries are perfectly seasoned. And the Raspberry vinaigrette is so so good. My husband for the ribeye and Brussel sprouts. The sprouts there are amazing. A must try for sure. The service here is always great. But this trip we had the best waitress ever! She was quick, efficient and just the right amount of friendly with out being annoying. I frequent this business, so I'm surprised I haven't written a review for here. We have been here a couple dozen times, and I can honestly say we may have had one unpleasant visit, but it was based on how the food was cooked. We like our steaks Rare and Medium Rare. I like a filet and she likes ribeye. I get that ribeyes can be thin, so it's tough to cook it and it not continue cooking while it's brought to the table, but this IS a steakhouse, right? So aside from that one time, these guys are rocking it. I always love the quality of the steaks here. You can get toppings on your steak for a tad extra like blue cheese crumbles or mushrooms. I'm partial to the blue cheese. It's wonderful on a filet. Of course, they also have some fantastic sides to go with. The last time we went, I ordered the Texas Tonion. It was Long Horn's equivalent of the blooming onion, I reckon. It was plated very nicely, but I didn't enjoy it very much. I was just really hungry and needed something besides bread to tide me over until the beef got there. I really enjoy the beef. Christmas Eve and we weren't in the mood to cook, so we took off for Longhorn Restaurant. We are in town visiting family and they love Longhorn's. We arrived about 5 pm and were seated right away. The restaurant filled the later it got. The employees were happy, service was excellent and the food was very very good. I can say the strawberry pecan salad was excellent. Made with mixed greens and topped with chopped pecans, strawberries and grapes. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, the fruit was equally as fresh. With all of the heavy foods eaten during the holidays this was a nice refreshing change. The rest of the group all had steak, some bacon wrapped and others stuffed with crab. Each and every plate was cleaned and everyone was thrilled with their choices. I will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. read more

I don't often leave reviews, but when I get such exceptional service as I did at this restaurant, I can't help but not leave a great review. After a very long and tiring day of working 2 jobs, my significant other and I went here to eat on a Saturday evening. Our server, Heather M, was very attentive to us, and so kind and sweet. We had an issue with one of the steaks we ordered being overcooked. Our server, the manager and staff immediately went way above and beyond any expectations either of us could have ever had to give us a truly prodigious experience with their customer service that will not be forgotten! To a great extent, they well exceeded "making it right" with us. Having worked in customer service management positions, it was very refreshing to see that there are other people who really care about giving their customers exceptional customer service and also make their guests feel welcome and "at home" in their establishment. We will most definitely be back to dine at this restaurant again even though we live a good 45 minutes away. read more

Read all way thru to understand our experience! 2 visits, years apart! We visited this Hixson location once at least 3yrs ago and swore to never return. We received near frozen shrimp appetizer. We returned it and it came back still cold. Declined a third attempt and left without paying the high prices if they can't even start our dinner off right. Lately, business always seemed heavy here so we thought try again this past weekend. What a mistake! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. NEVER again. We got stuffed mushrooms for an app. We get these at nearly any restaurant that has them. First, they were room temp. The server had a towel and warned us for the hot temp. No sir. Not hot at all. Mushroom retain heat real well, but the cheese was stale and mushrooms barely lukewarm. Server brought back more fresh, but honestly... for us the flavor didn't sit well with us anyway. They need something more than just all that cheese. My wife had the loaded potato soup. It arrived cold. This was the last straw. We requested the manager remove her meal from the ticket. My Outlaw Ribeye was decent. But I am more satisfied at Texas Roadhouse for better prices. I don't understand for the price we pay at Longhorn why they can't get the food down right. Finally, the hostess girl was way to preoccupied flirting with male co-workers, while eating and drinking a Red Bull instead of being attentive to patrons. I will add that the manager was apologetic and compensated us with coupons and removed my wife's meal. Those will make good stocking stuffers for someone, but we will not return. read more

To start off, I must state that I'm extremely picky with my steaks. 90% of the time I'm sending them back for being over cooked. This being said, here's what I ordered and how my experience was. 8oz. Sirloin Steak Pittsburg Blue Salad, no croutons with white balsamic vinaigrette Steamed asparagus tips The salad came out, and the dressing was on the side, without me even having to ask. Great start... Next the steak is served with my asparagus. (Drumroll please) I cut into the steak and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Nice and rare, with a great warmth and perfect seasoning on the outside. I cannot stress how delighted I was to have a perfectly cooked steak! The asparagus was steamed perfectly! There was still the fresh crispness without any sogginess to them. And they were not undercooked either. I'm so surprised to only see a 3 star rating for this place because our food was impeccable. First, for our party of 2, the wait was slightly long and people who came in after us were seated first. Secondly, we ordered the brisket nachos for our appetizer and there was hardly any brisket to be found, mostly fat. We would probably not order this appetizer again.
