Its ok. Compared to Bonellos a couple of miles up Anza its probably slightly less than ok. Crust on the pizza I received was fairly thick and heavy, sauce did not add flavor, cheese was ok (that word again) but certainly not uplifting. Everyone has their own idea of a great pizza, mine is New York style...which Jacks is most certainly not. Positives: Friendly quick service, the pizza is edible. read more

Today was my first time eating here. I ordered two hot sandwiches, the meatball and the toasted turkey. Both were DELISH!! The bread was warm and so fresh! Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The meatballs, marinara and cheese made for the perfect sandwich! Fresh salad ingredients. The pizza here is crispy on the outside but doughy inside. It's too oily so I can only do one slice at most. The sauce they use is great. Best avocado ranch I've had. I wouldn't come back for the slices but the sandwiches look tasty. read more

This past Saturday me and my client that I care for stopped by to have some pizza at Jack's as soon as we walked in we were greeted the staff was very nice. I had looked at the menu online and the Jack special definitely stood out so we ordered that. We sat and dined in the place is very clean and very roomy. The pizza didn't take long we got our pizza and let me tell you u can taste the freshness in the toppings and the sauce. First time at this establishment, walked in and was greeted by a young man and a gentleman who I presumed to be the owner. Both very nice. I walked in here on a premonition and had a lot of questions, they both answered my questions to the best of their ability and with a smile. It was 5pm and I could tell they had a long day, their customer service never wavered. I ordered two sandwiches, a meatball and a submarine. Both were perfectly garnished, well dressed and had a generous amount of meat. 10/10. For giggles, I ordered a slice of pizza, because why not. Delicious homemade pizza. This review is long over due - even from my recent review from last month. (And disclaimer it will be long too) We got this meal after trying their pizza by the slice and O M G this place officially took me away from all the other local commercialized pizza spots. The food was amazing, so flavorful that we actually didn't have any leftovers between my little family like we normally do. I thought there wasn't enough sauce on the spaghetti but it was perfectly portioned and we used the extra Mariana sauce to dip the garlic bread and it was like eating another pizza. Idk if they make their meatball and Mariana sauce by scratch in house, but it honestly tastes like it- like homemade mouth watering goodness. The service is always friendly and it's one of the main reasons I made it a point to leave my second review today. I had a short lunch today and called in to see if there was pepperoni slice available and ready, the person who answered the phone was polite and let me know there was only one left. He was so courteous to hold it for me as I told him I'm only 3 minutes away. When I arrived, there was 2-3 people ahead of me but it didn't take long and the pizza was still warm! I literally finished the slice before I even parked my car back at home. IDK how the crust could taste even better. It was crunchy at the first bite, but still had so much fluffy softness in the middle. You can see all the herbs in the sauce bread and cheese and every bite was still so flavorful. Next time I come for lunch I'm going to get two slices 'cause once you have one you really do want another one even if you're satiated My husband usually goes inside to pick up the order, but this time I went inside. The aesthetic of the place really makes it feel welcoming and like home. It's small, but still good. I saw that they sell merch for their business- it's hanging on the wall- and there's a sign that says 5% off your order if you come in wearing the shirt. Their menu is handwritten with chalk and it gave me a sense of old school goodness which stood apart from the electronic, TV like, signs we now have in most places. They have a cool LED pizza sign that I wish I took a picture of. And I found out they have a meatball sub too! Overall, this place found a new loyal customer. We were looking forward to trying a very local spot that has great ratings. We ordered the veggie pizza, and made the five minute drive to pick up directly. I opened up the box at home and was happy to see lots of vegetables, until I tried to pick up a slice. Nothing was sliced through, so after cutting and picking up a slice, the pizza bent completely over and everything slid off. The crust is soggy and lukewarm, and the vegetables are cold! We had to remove it from the box to heat and crisp it in the oven. After 20 minutes, it was STILL soggy. Very disappointed. The search for a good neighborhood pizza continues! read more

For years, a friend has suggested I try Jack's pizza. I finally stopped in this noon. The meatballs & sauce are wonderful as well as the by-the-slice cheese & pepperoni pizza. Ask for extra pizza sauce (the warm sauce) so you can dip the crust (which is just right....not to thin & not to thick) in it. It's a small location but they do a lot of business.
