SAN RAMON LOCATION: Has to be a joke that this has 5 Stars.... we went here because we were given a gift certificate. Me: prenatal 70 Min, Him: 60 Min regular. My best guess as to why this has 5 Stars is that people are rating another business on here on accident. They should not be in business. There's no way this is legal. 1. Towels are scratchy, and need to be replaced. 2. They do not speak English so good LUCK getting any help with what you really need. 3. The prenatal pillow was so uncomfortable.... I should have left. They had no idea what they were doing. None of the spots on my pregnant body that hurt were addressed. 4. We were literally rushed into rooms without so much as a hello, what's your name, what's your appointment... the beds were not ready and they told me to come in (waved me in- no English remember) I said, no thank you I'll wait until you're ready for me. 5. The lady doing my massage was sick. So sick that she had a cough drop and then a coughing fit and had to leave the room after 5 mins. She left in such a hurry that she left my door OPEN while I was on the bed. 5-10 mins later she came back with the receptionist and said she would finish my massage. 6. The receptionist clearly had no experience or training. My mani/pedi massages are better than this. She didn't go in the direction of muscles, she didn't massage my head or face, she barely massaged my feet/legs/arms/hands (REMEMBER, ITS A PRENATAL!!) and she didn't even touch the front part of me legs. 7. She had me lay on my back-- which is a big no-no for being pregnant, and I had to tell her I couldn't do that (it hurt) and so I laid on my side hoping the time would go faster so I could leave. I was horribly uncomfortable. 8. The "massage" was basically like your Grandma rubbing your back. Up and down with globs and globs of oil. My husband with one YouTube massage video for training does better. 9. The oil was cold, their hands were cold (both ladies). As we were leaving, the receptionist came out asking for a "cheap" which we understood as "tip". No. We did not tip. My generous gift giver should get her money back for what I went through. I even started to have abdominal cramps I was so uncomfortable. (My husband said his was OK but he left tense because the environment does not make you feel safe. The massage was far too hard but he couldn't communicate with the masseuse. He would give this a 2star) Afterwards, I felt ashamed of myself that I would put up with such a terrible experience and not just walk out. I was embarrassed to leave, but I've decided I need to have more guts next time a place is clearly not good. I hate writing bad reviews but I honestly think this place should close down. It's not safe- especially for those who are pregnant. I don't want a second chance. Please don't go here. Pick somewhere else. read more

I called just a little before coming and the man said they could take me right away and then when I got there they said they didn't have an appointment time for me and nearly sent me away. Not completely impressed, and I felt very rushed and awkward at times. No communication when you walk in. I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and they didn't even ask me anything about my pregnancy! Found this place on yelp and decided to make an appointment. I have been to their Danville location once but decided to try their new location in San Ramon. I love that you can make your appointment online and choose which therapist you want. I decided to go with Anna because I saw a good review on her. They are located across the street from Home Depot in a medical type building on the first floor. The place is clean and simply decorated. I was immediately taken into a dimly lit room with soft music playing. I was debating whether to give four or five stars but for $40 for a 60 minute massage in San Ramon you can't be too picky. The massage was great although I would've liked if she slowed down a little and used a little less oil. Felt like she used the entire bottle on me. I did like that she wiped it all off with hot steamy towels. It's nice that the towels were in the room so she didn't have to leave the room to get them like with many other places I've been to. The pressure was good and she did ask occasionally if it was OK. I always keep my underwear on so typically they don't massage too far down but she went all the way and spent a good amount of time on my entire butt. If you are bashful about that area you may want to let her know ahead of time. The bed did not appear to be heated but that would be a nice touch too. Overall it was a nice massage and I felt relaxed afterwards. You can't beat $40 an hour so I will be back! read more

This place is a god send! I really needed a good, last minute massage and they took me in right away. Best prices in town, no question. And AMAZING service. I was blessed to get Lee Lee and I'm telling you this girl knew how to massage! I have no idea where she gets that strength from. Just had my first massage here. It was amazing! Honestly it was better than the more expensive places that I've been too. My masseuse was very intuitive and kneaded all my knots intently. I have a feeling we should have gone to the Danville location as I heard great reviews about that location. Unfortunately today, my first time experience was very negative. My co worker and I went to get massages at the referral from another co worker. The lady that approached us to walk back to the room was not friendly at all and did NOT introduce herself prior to starting the massage. The massage was ok, some parts felt rushed etc. But the end is what really caught me off guard. The service was $60 for 90mins. I paid cash and gave the lady $5 as I had limited cash due to my debit card being lost. She said and I quote "90 minute massage for 5 dolla", and I just looked at her in shock because I have never experienced that in ANY business I've ever patronized. It took me a minute to digest it as I had to ask my coworker did I miss something was she really being a B and making a shady comment? Needless to say, I will NEVER refer, nor come back to this location. Huge fan of Jade Spa. Great prices. San Ramon has a good atmosphere. The head to toe massage by Kim was amazing. It is a full 2 hours.

The staff was nice. Prices are very good. Peaceful experience for the most part. However, I came in with one issue, and I left with two. I've been experiencing back pain, and I tried to communicate what I was looking for but the woman who assisted me didn't speak great English. She ended up hurting my spine pretty badly rather than helping relieve the lower back pain I've been experiencing. I haven't been able to sit or even lay down comfortably since. read more

I've been going to this place for almost 3 years now but tonight was my last night and I surely won't refer anyone else again. I had Katy who is usually great, she started my massage 5 min late and ended it nearly 10 min short. The worst was the fact that was she was ON HER CELL PHONE several times while massaging me with one hand and texting in the other. I was too uncomfortable to say anything so I just moved like I was getting up and she put the phone away, or so I thought. Not even 3 min later she was back texting. I'm pretty sure they can be in major trouble for having the phone in a room where people are nearly naked. I felt like I'd be a sucker to tip her, and still felt bad for not tipping but the massage was short AND half-assed. Also, they ALWAYS double book people--I've showed up at least 3 times and they didn't have my spot saved and just acted like, I don't know what happened? Not apology. So disappointed. This is NOT the Jade Day Spa in Danville, which I wish I had gone to instead, as I've had great experiences there. Here in San Ramon, I just had the 3rd worst massage in my life. I actually wished I had just stopped it early, as it was painful. "Lisa" is clearly not professionally trained how to massage. It was 90 minutes of having oil slathered on me, and then moving her palms back and forth in the same place OVER and OVER. She never actually used her fingers, only her palms, and when she occasionally used her elbow it was agonizingly painful. The scalp massage was just her scratching my head! My goodness, I hated every second, and left more stressed than when I had started. read more

Came in for foot reflexology with my friend and the service was mediocre. The two women who were massaging us were talking the ENTIRE time and my masseuse even paused my massage at one point because they were so deep in conversation. A patron walked in during our massage and my friend's masseuse left the room to attend to that patron for a good 8 minutes. She returned and apologized, but never made up for the lost time. Also, other massage places I have been to do not just focus on massaging your feet for the whole hour when you request for foot reflexology, but here they focus solely on your feet. We mentioned a yelp review we found that said we could request for shoulders during foot reflexology. They told us they could only do it for 5 minutes and recommended that we get the full body massage next time. Lastly, when I paid they did not bother giving me my change and I did not plan on tipping that much due to the overall experience. I felt awkward asking for my change back, so I left it as is. I take responsibility for not requesting for my change back, but as a business I think it should be common sense to give the patron their change and not just assume the difference is their tip. I felt awkward asking for it after they took my money and said "thank you, bye" as if to shoo me out the door. I gave them one extra star for massaging our shoulders when they do not typically offer this service with foot reflexology. read more

only did soft tissue for 40 min and charged me for the full hour. foot reflexology was only 35 min but was still charged for the full hour. my massage therapist listened to what i wanted but was burping throughout the whole session! in addition, all the employees were screaming and fighting before coming in to the room. very unprofessional. i was overcharged when she finished minutes before the hour mark is not fair or professional. when i kindly explained that we didn't get the full hour the lady quickly became defensive and made up excuses when she didn't even know what service i was receiving. i did not bother to argue but i will never be coming back to this spa read more

This is not a day spa with robes, aromatherapy, or candles but customers should already know that based on the massage price. If you just want a good massage without any bells and whistles for a good price then I recommend this place. I had a 90 minute deep tissue with Michael for sixty dollars and it was great. He worked all my tense spots and it felt really good. The facility is clean and the service is good. The staff does not speak English well so you will have to be patient. read more
