But I usually haven't need to wait for more than 30 minutes to get my drinks. My go-to are Milk Tea with Salted Cheese (75% sweet, 25% ice) and Puff Cream Milk Tea. In search of all things boba... first time in this cute boba place. First thing I see on the menu is something called "Salted Cheese." What in the world is this? Happy Lemon is always a solid choice for boba. I've been to a number of locations, and the quality is the same at all of them. They're known for the salted cream drinks, so if you're a fan of those, this is definitely the place to go! Their boba is cooked to perfection as well. Other drinks that I've had and would recommend are the mango matcha (sounds weird but trust in the taste) and any of the Yakult drinks. Today was our first time at Happy Lemon. We ordered online and waited in store for a bit. I asked an employee if they received our online order (they did and it was ready). But then they started loudly complaining about me. They said they "didn't have my picture and I should've told them I was there. That there's always a certain type and you just know they are going to complain". I wasn't even angry about waiting, so hearing that was not a great feeling haha If you haven't been there before- they don't have a pick-up area to place drinks and only call out orders for people who ordered in-store. I went here after getting my nails done with some friends. What a cute place to get some milk tea with friends. The location is great and has plenty of parking. There's also decent indoor seating as well. What I like most about Happy Lemon is that it's not your typical boba place. I got the matcha latte with salted cheese and it was delicious. It was sweet and salty in just the right ratio. Honestly, the drink was very refreshing and light. Perfect for a warm fall day. Not like other milk teas that can sometimes feel really heavy in your stomach. I didn't feel bloated at all. Plus, drinks come in a very Instagrammable illustrated cup with a cute sip-cup lid. I instantly fell in love after trying a Matcha Latte with Tiramisu Salted Cheese from the Happy Lemon in Foster City. So I am verrrryyy happy that Happy Lemon is opening sooo many locations around California! During my visit, today was the GRAND OPENING for the Pleasanton location. Their deal was BOGO FREEEEE. This time I tried their Strawberry Match and added the Salted Cheese with matcha powder on top. Definitely going to be a go-to drink for me if I decide not to try other things. They have a screen to show their upcoming orders. I love Happy Lemon!! For a multitude of reasons!! I have had tons of boba in my lifetime.. However, I had never heard of salted cheese atop boba, but alas Happy Lemon has done just that. I went in and asked the cashier what salted cheese was because I was intrigued and she offered me a sample without any hesitation. I then asked the other cashier since he was standing there if the mango boba was popping or jelly. He swiftly gave me a sample as well!! Pork Bahn mi was not very good. It was some kind of sweet pork sausage and was not very warm. Beware it has pate automatically included. Make sure to read all the add ons. Amazing service! This Happy Lemon is located in a small shopping center with decent parking. There was a steady flow of people in line on a Tuesday afternoon. Despite the line, the service was very efficient. The drinks were almost immediately after people finished paying! One of my go-tos is a mango matcha smoothie with boba. On this day, there were a few larger ice chunks, but it was otherwise blended smoothly. I also enjoy the mango green tea with mango boba! The mango boba has the texture of agar boba. The one downside of Happy Lemon is that it can be around $7 for one drink. Still, would recommend this place to anyone looking for solid drinks and quick service. read more

My milk tea was good even though they mixed up my order! Went there to check it out with the kids because of positive reviews. Arrived a little after 12pm, no customer inside, Great! I was acknowledged by the workers behind counter, they seem friendly. Place looks spacious and clean. I ordered Oolong milk tea with salted cheese and my daughter a Mango lemon slush, medium size, total came out to be $8.20 including tax. As i got my change back, my drinks were ready to be picked up, awesome! Then in came a crowd of 8, but the line moved quickly. Now the taste, it was good at first sip but then i realized its not Oolong tea but Jasmine, i tasted again, yes its indeed jasmine... i could have said something but why bother when its good...fragrant without bitter after taste, very good! Now my daughters drink, i dont think she loved it as much as i like mines. She said it tasted more like oranges and lemon vs mango and lemon, i think it was just not what she had imagined it to taste but she obviously didnt hate it because she drank more than half before telling me she was done. Listen. Listen, yall. If you're in the Pleasanton area, and you need a boba bar for your event, whether it's for a wedding like how we did, or anything, don't go anywhere else. This place is THE best. Talk to Kathy, and she will take care of you. We first told her about how we wanted a boba bar at our wedding, and she helped us in every step of the way. She was very punctual in replying to text and emails, and worked so well with our planner. She got us a boba tasting session (yes, that's right) to help decide which drinks we wanted at our cocktail hour. She's so friendly and fun to work with, and she thought of everything. What milk options we can have. What boba goes well with what drinks. What options for tea we can have. What drinks are suggested, based on our guestlist. After the drinks were decided, she offered to design AND print a boba bar sign (yes, that's right) that would be displayed at the bar, but my wife wanted her own sign instead. There's a couple of spots to sit too. Oh there's a screen that shows the orders, and the numbers to them. I still cannot get over the fact that there's an Oreo milk tea. I LOVE THAT. Anyways, I ordered my favorite and my go to whenever I try a new milk tea spot: green milk tea. I got it with 50 percent sugar and 50 percent ice. I got a large size as well. Only cost $4.50! Not bad! The tea came out to me fast. The outside of the cup was wiped down (I've had some places and other franchises not do that) which is super helpful. The milk tea tasted so good. It had just enough sweetness and yet it still tasted like tea. I am thankful that I didn't order too much ice because it definitely wasn't watery! Never really got fully sucked into the caffeinated mermaid craze. I enjoyed boba a lot growing up in an Asian family. It came in many different forms of Asian desserts. The flavors kind of all start tasting the same. All I remembered was that they were all sweet. Love Happy Lemon's lemon based drinks. My current drink obsession is the Jasmine Lemon. My sugar level of choice is 25%, the perfect blend of sweet tart, emphasis on tart. There are some drinks like the grapefruit Yakult where even 25% sugar is too sweet. I love Happy Lemon, especially on Thursdays 6-8pm when drinks are b2g1 free. I typically go to the other location in Pleasanton. I love ordering their salted cheese/creme drinks and different milk teas. This location has sub-par service. I came here about a month ago and didn't have a mask and got tons of attitude from one of the employees. She yells at everyone who doesn't come in with a mask, rolls her eyes, and gives attitude. Note that the mask mandate has been over for months. Of course, I went and grabbed my mask to respect the employee's wishes, but her tone was appalling. The second time I came here about a few weeks ago, I had my mask but had to wait over 25 minutes for 3 drinks. People who ordered after me were getting their drinks first. Once again, the same worker was yelling at everyone to wear a mask and you can tell the customers were totally annoyed. Honestly, I am happy and was excited that Happy Lemon finally opened one in Pleasanton! This is certainly my favorite go-to place for cheese foam drinks. They are known for their cheese foam drinks with black/green tea. Personally, I like the black tea with cheese foam, light ice and adding their crystal boba (the white clear agar boba). The drinks here are pretty good and for its price- the portion is not bad at all. I would say that this place is priced reasonably and they also have some tables/chairs for you to sit in and chat with friends. On weekend nights, I see a lot of high schoolers come here to hang out so it can be busy and will take a while for drinks to be made. TRASH CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you're going to advertise 100% satisfaction then at least abide by what you want your customers to trust you with. I ordered my usual, D5, boba milk tea with puff cream. 25% sweetness. The drink was watered down and it was not how it was supposed to taste. Trust when I know my boba and am a regular of Happy Lemon. I had my boyfriend go back inside to change the drink and instead of 25% sweetness, they added more sugar to 125% sweetness. Outcome? Barely any difference in the taste. We asked them to adjust again but it still ended up tasting the same watered down drink. They said "we must've messed up the milk tea batch". And they sent us on our way. No offerings of making us a NEW drink, or a drink on the house or anything. They even created a huge hole in the cup when they added the sugar. They messed up the wrapping and made the drink sticky and messy. If you're going to blatantly admit that your quality of the product you're selling is not up to par and that you made a mistake, why continue to sell something that is trash and you know it? Please adjust the 100% satisfaction on your wall if you're going to sell messed up boba drinks and not do anything about it. I would rather go down the street to the other Happy Lemon shop in Pacific Pearl Plaza than deal with this shop's ability to provide decent customer service. read more

Came here a few weeks ago with my co-workers for a pick me up drink and was pleasantly surprised by their Matcha Avocado Smoothie. I've tried avocado smoothies from Vietnamese restaurants and they really really taste like avocado or avocado ice cream which wasn't what I was quite expecting. At Happy Lemon, the Matcha Avocado Smoothie has a distinct matcha flavor and a light avocado flavor. They were balanced well! I ordered 50% sugar because I heard that 25% wasn't very good and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. I liked how smooth and creamy the drink was from the milk. Happy Lemon is spreading everywhere now, before I would have to be in South Bay to get some of this delicious drink now they are spreading everywhere into East Bay and beyond. They are opening another one just a few miles away at the Pacific Pearl plaza as well. I ordered the chocolate milk tea here with the puff cream that the spread around the edge of the cup, the puff cream is very creamy and thick. It was such a good combination with the chocolate milk tea. The other drink I had was the kumquat lemon green tea which was so refreshing and not too sweet, I ordered it 75% sweet. Their fruit teas here are alot sweeter to me than the milk teas, so I usually order 75% sweet, sometimes even 50%.
