I had just finished a workout and was looking for something high in protein but lower in calories…read morewhen a friend recommended Galilee Falafel & Shawarma in Lake Worth. After my first visit, I completely understand why. When I walked in, I was immediately welcomed and kindly guided through parts of the menu I wasn't familiar with. Mediterranean food usually isn't my go-to, so I appreciated how patient and helpful they were without making me feel out of place. I ordered the beef shawarma plate with tzatziki and hot sauce on the side, then sat at the barstools near the food prep area while I waited. Watching the owner prepare the food was honestly part of the experience. At one point, he came over and insisted I try their tea. I initially declined, but he smiled and said he'd only pour me half a cup. That small act of kindness and hospitality genuinely sold me on this place. The restaurant was clean, quiet, welcoming, and smelled incredible. And yes, absolutely try the tea. It was a custom Earl Grey blend made specifically for them, and it was fantastic. When I got home, I was surprised by how generous the portions were for the price. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced. The spices were used perfectly, the produce tasted fresh, and the food even held its temperature well by the time I got home. I've only been here once so far, but I already plan on becoming a regular, probably at least once a week. Y'all are doing an amazing job, and I'm really glad I found this place.

It's not exactly close to me, but the menu convinced us to give it a try. My husband went with the buffet and enjoyed the variety -- hummus, gyro, salad, and pita bread -- and felt the price was a great value for what was offered. I ordered the pastitsio. It wasn't quite the same as the versions I've had in Chicago, where I've enjoyed both homemade and restaurant-made versions. This one was still enjoyable, but not as flavorful as I remembered. The béchamel sauce was creamy, though I felt it needed a bit more seasoning, and the tomato sauce leaned a little too soupy for my taste. I took the moussaka to go. It had a very similar flavor profile to the pastitsio, but instead of pasta, it featured layers of eggplant and ground beef. It was comforting and hearty, though the flavors felt a bit repetitive between the two dishes. The cheese bread that came with both the pastitsio and moussaka was really good -- warm, soft, and a great pairing with the meal. Service was fantastic -- friendly and attentive -- and the space, while small, had a cozy, homey feel. Overall, I'm glad I finally got my pastitsio fix, and it was a pleasant experience.

He walked us through the choices telling which had garlic and which were garlic free. The portions were very generous and the food was delicious. The bread is baked on the premises. I had lamb kebab, cucumber salad, fried cauliflower, 2 large bread rolls, and grape leaves. My husband had the gyro meat, 5 large slices, Greek salad, 2 large bread rolls and cauliflower. It was so good. The restaurant was hosting a 2026 Graduation Party in an adjoining room to the main restaurant, so the noise level was a bit high, but it was happy noise. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The varied menu and the price point were just right. You pick up a cafeteria tray and point to what you'd like. I opted for the 6 item veggie plate. Portions were very filling! I tried a rocket salad, pita bread, beet salad, lentil soup, hummus and chickpea salad. In other words, a feast!! The food was very good. I also opted for a Diet Pepsi and a baklava. The salads were crispy and delicious - I loved the vinaigrette dressing which was perfectly tart. I wish I'd tried the coffee with my dessert - the baklava was a bit dry. I wish they'd opened a private side room for our party. Our table felt a bit cramped and it was a challenge to scoot into the very long booth seat which was closed off where they pushed tables together. On the whole, a really nice place and I'd definitely return!
