The bid included replacement of coping, new skimmer, re-tile, re-plaster, and replacement of old electric heater with new heat pump. The bid detailed the cost of each phase of the project so that I could choose which phases I wanted (could afford) to complete. In the end I chose to complete the entire list and Jerry installed the new skimmer ($2250) for free. Jerry uses a combination of his own crew and subcontractors (coping and plastering) on my project. One can tell Jerry takes great pride in his work. He took the time necessary to make sure I understood the maintenance and water balancing of a new pool. When I decided to replace the 15 year old pool pump with a new SuperFlo VS motor he gave me a bid but did not balk when I decided to replace it myself. He even looked over my work to make sure it was done properly. I would end by saying that Jerry was very competitive in pricing (half that of AquaQuip) and in the same range of other contractors, but his customer service and communication was far better than other private contractors. My experience was extremely disappointing -- instead of resolving a leak, they made the problem significantly worse. They refused to take responsibility for the damage and ignored multiple messages and phone calls. Yet, they were quick to collect payment.
