For a solid warm panini sandwich, Jagger's Cafe has your back. The prices could be better, but the service is great and the place is a nice refuge from the hot sun and bad cell phone connection. They have a reliable wifi network here so for those who suffer when there's no good reception, Jagger's Cafe will save your soul. You must try the Cali Club and the Chicken Chipotle. The Philly Cheesesteak is pretty good too. Seems like you can't go with anything on their menu as long as it fits your style. If you work in the buildings near Jagger's Cafe, it's really the only place that is walking-distance. The NEX food court is a little too far to walk in the heat. The employees greeted us and were very nice. They had a very personal relationship with most of the guests there. it felt very homey. I ordered the Italian sausage (twice) I ate one there and then went back for another to take home. It was the best Italian sausage sandwich I've had. Perfect amount of condiment, the bread was crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, and the Italian sausage was cooked to perfection. Went in at 1245 hoping for a quick bite. Nothing fancy, just grab and go. I know they close at 1300 so my order was going to be simple and quick. As soon as I walk through the door they ask me "did you see our sign saying we're closed?" I only saw the sign that's front and center with the hours posted not the small sign to the bottom left of the door they turned around to say closed. Asking for a business establishment to honor their business hours and not act like a customer is intruding seems like a major problem at this place. read more

Great spot for lunch on Pearl Harbor base. I'm currently in a wheelchair for a leg injury and, before I could start getting settled in, the staff came over with a printed menu (you normally order at the counter) and helped move chairs so I could wheel in comfortably. Thanks Jagger's Team! I had the Yummy Turkey, my go to bagel sandwich here, and was not disappointed. They pile on the ingredients and each sandwich is made to order for you. Jagger's Cafe. (3.5 stars). I believe I have been coming to Jagger's Cafe for about 7 years now?? I used to frequent them in their former location on the way to the Chief's club!! :) Now Jagger's is located in Building 223 (formerly Steak Out). Next to NCIS. Parking is available in front of their restaurant as well as across the street. However, especially during 1030-1130 (Shipyard lunch time), the parking is limited! If possible, you should call your order in! Paninis. (3 stars). When I first started my current job 8 years ago I had never heard of Jagger's!! All my co-workers kept telling me to go pick up lunch and order the Italian Chicken panini! So I did. To be honest, I find their paninis a bit hard for my liking. The bread, while toasted, is still a bit tough for me to chew and digest. The chicken seems to be one of those pre-grilled frozen chickens that is warmed up in a microwave?? I could be wrong just saying what it tastes like to me. The pepperoni, Pesto, and cheese are a tasty combination. I have also tried their Italian Sausage paninis which have a tasty Italian sausage accompanied by peppers and onions and their Cheesesteak panini but again their bread is just too tough for me. To each their own as I know lots of people who love their paninis! Sandwiches. (3.5 stars). I have recently started trying their sandwiches. I have tried their Hot Pastrami which comes with Sliced Pastrami, house dressing (which I ask them to remove - it's 1000 island dressing), coleslaw, and Swiss cheese on Rye. I usually add spicy brown mustard and am a happy camper! The Pastrami is tasty, not NY deli delicious, but definitely one of the better Pastramis I have had on Oahu!! I have also ordered their BLT and sometimes made it a triple decker!! The BLT comes with bacon, lettuce, tomato, roasted tomato spread, and cheddar cheese on wheat bread. I will caution you that the roasted tomato spread is slathered on there so if I remember I usually ask them not to put the spread in my sandwich. Nothing against the spread but I prefer my BLT as close to the classic as possible. Sometimes I'll leave the cheese in but the cheese isn't melted so if I remember I ask them to remove the cheese as well. Lox & Bagels. (3.5 stars). I have had their bagels with cream cheese which are what you would expect a bagel and cream cheese to taste like. Various combinations can be made between the choices of bagels and cream cheese flavors. But I enjoy their Lox & Bagel the most! (Sans the onions)!! Their Lox are tasty and smoked filets of salmon that melt in your mouth!! Add capers with all its salty brined goodness and cream cheese (& tomato if you desire which I don't) and you have a very filling and tasty meal!! Chicken Chipotle Salad. (4 stars). I usually give the grilled chicken to the BF but I enjoy the rest of this salad. It has a southwestern corn salsa and a chipotle ranch sauce that makes me come back for more. It's a simple salad with lettuce and corn salsa with cut up grilled chicken cubes but the dressing and the corn salsa is what makes this salad my favorite at Jagger's! The Crunch from the corn and slightly creamy texture from the black beans along with the fresh crisp lettuce and chipotle ranch make for a very satisfying bite!! This salad is very filling (even without the chicken)!! Hands down my favorite thing to eat here!! Just be aware that the chipotle ranch does have a nice kick to it!! Jagger's has started to serve sushi but I refuse to eat sushi unless it is fresh and from a reputable place. (Even then I get disappointed LoL)!! Just looking at the sushi sold here I can guarantee you this fish isn't fresh and it is not great quality. However if you're in a rush you may consider grabbing some sushi. All in all I come here for the salads and the bagels but the sandwiches and paninis are decent. Keep in mind that the sandwiches and bagels are all MADE TO ORDER so there is a little bit of a wait. If you remember, you can call in your order so it's ready by the time you get there!! Time to go back for a chicken chipotle salad next week!! read more

I came over here for the first time for breakfast. After reading some Yelp reviews, I heard they have some bagels so I tried it out. First of all, since this cafe is located in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, they are located on the Hickam side of Pearl Harbor, specifically on South St. and right on 8th Ave. They have some parking in front of the cafe, as well as, around the cafe. You cannot really miss it if you are driving down on South St. because they have a sign in front of the cafe. The cafe itself is pretty spacious. They have a lot of table and seating areas and have many selections and options for breakfast and lunch such as bagels and sandwiches and of course coffee. They do their bagels just right over here, all evenly spiced and cream cheesed for your. The bagels are around $2-3 depending on which one you get. Will come back for more bagels for sure. read more

Jagger's has broken the curse of this space! In the four years I've worked here, I've seen restaurants come and go, always boarding up after a few months because the location is very out of the way from the main offices on base. I was very sad when I found out Jagger's closed up last year, but that was short lived as they opened in this new location around the Shipyard medical building and NCIS. Hours from 0530 to 2 pm Monday through Friday, parking is available across the street mostly. When I visited, this is the first time I've ever seen these spaces filled. This should have warned me about the crowds. Despite the line, things moved pretty smoothly as one person took orders, passed it to the sandwich makers while you paid. They offer almost all sandwiches here. There are breakfast sandwiches with are mostly some sort of omellete. They have a menu for hot paninis and a separate menu for cold sandwiches and wraps. There are vegetarian options available with a cold veggie sandwich and a roasted veggie sandwich. They also offer a variety of shmears for their diverse bagel selection and salads in their cooler. Some pastries and chips are also available as a side. They had three different types of coffee, one regular drip and two flavored coffees. I ordered the tuna wrap. This consisted of veggies with a cooked tuna salad wrapped in a large spinach wrap. My wrap was heavier than my colleague's chicken chipotle panini. This was dense with a wasabi mixed tuna salad, a big portion for little me. However, I could barely stop eating it! It was so tasty and different from ahi wraps you usually get around the island. Be warned though, the wasabi makes it pretty spicy. If you wanted to get some work done here, they also offer free wifi. If only they were open during the weekends, I would come here more often. He knows I have no place like this up where I work. So I go home from work sick. I call him up to tell him so I don't look like "What the cat drug in" when he comes home for lunch. What does he do? He invites me to Jagger's! I can't pass this up. I've heard too much. No matter how much I want to say, "No, I need soup" I can't bare to say it. Move over brother, give me that panini. They also have bagel spreads. Pesto cream cheese and sundried tomato are quite good. Haven't tried their coffee or fruit drinks yet. This is a great sandwich shop to eat at while on base. It doesn't look like much from outside, but don't let it fool you. I rarely say this about on-base restaurants, but this place could easily compete with off base restaurants. Wide variety of sandwiches with unique toppings and flavors. I ate here with three friends and we all loved our meals. I'll definitely be coming back. Only down side is that they're closed on weekends. A great place for sandwich and breakfast food. The chicken Caesar wrap is my favorite and this morning I had a delicious spinach tomato omelet. The coffee is pretty good, too. Only gripe I'd have is it takes awhile for them to prepare the food, but with time comes high quality. The customer service is good and the staff is friendly. read more

Really not a bad choice for food around JBPH. The prices are comparable to what you'll get it in town, but for being so close to the shipyard side, it can't be beat. The ingredients taste fresh enough, the service is quick and friendly. I usually get a lox everything bagel and it's pretty tasty! Eventually I'll expand and try more stuff on the menu. The building itself is a little run down, but it's on base so you can't expect much. The interior furniture could use an upgrade though. Don't let those things deter you from trying it out, you won't be disappointed! read more
