    Purchased a used vehicle, 3 months out of warranty. Had an issue within a month of sale. Salesman told me "sorry nothing we can do"

I was then told by the two service advisors that my car was out of factory warranty, and any repairs would have to go through my extended warranty. I stated that although i am the second owner, the factory warranty of 3 years/36,000 mile and 5 years/60,000-mile warranty is still in effect since the vehicle is only 18 months old. They stated it was not. I flew off the handle. How can Honda service advisors not know that their factory warranty is still transferrable to the next owner? I was also overcharged for the accessories that I had installed. The one factory warranty I had was with the windshield molding pulling away and they could not even attempt to repair that properly. I had a local glass shop properly repair it. Carlo stated that the windshield at one point was replaced causing the weather stripping to pull away. ITS THE ORIGINAL HONDA GLASS! Even has the Honda insignia on the passenger side lower window. But he was just looking for me to pay cash instead of helping a customer that just spent $800 with your service department. These "professionals" will never ever see my Odyssey again and I will never even step into sales. Beware of this place, It a money grab there! It's definitely worth going elsewhere.

Our experience began with a most wonderful, honest, and gentlemanly salesman, Tommy Kim, who can be described as nothing less than an absolute gentleman. He was great throughout the entire process ...all the way from purchase to pick up. Additionally, the service provided by both Nick Mignano, Manager, and Chris Volonakis, finance manager clearly surpassed any service we have experienced at any other dealership. As indicated, in addition to the 2025 Rav4 XLE that we had just purchased and picked up, we had previously purchased a 2011 Highlander, a 2013 Rav4 Limited, and a 2020 Rav4 Hybrid. All of our vehicles are regularly serviced at Penn Toyota. Our experience at Penn Toyota throughout the years has indeed made us feel like we are part of the Penn Toyota family. Tommy, Nick, and Chris should be highly commended and recognized for the attention, commitment and exceptional service they provided to my wife and I in the purchase of our new Rav4. I had the worst experience of my life at at East Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Dealership in Roslyn NY...literally the worst. I'm used to being treated with respect, courtesy, and dignity when I go to my Lexus dealership in Glen Cove. This place is exactly the opposite. My husband was looking at a used car there and had been made multiple promises about what they would provide. He brought me back the next day to have a look for myself. All of a sudden, everything that have been promised went up in smoke. My husband had been told the day before that they would put 4 new tires on the car. When we returned for the 2nd look the Used Car Manager said he would only provide 2 and that the gentleman who had promised the 4 wasn't there and he was overriding the original decision because 2 of the tires seemed fine. They were not fine, they were used. He and the manager went back-and-forth for quite a while, but he was adamant and refused to keep the commitment the dealership originally made. After listening to this for almost 30 minutes I quietly gave my opinion and told him that when a company promises something they need to stick by their word. He was rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate to me. He spoke back to me in a stern, forceful, dismissive manner even though l had spoken to him with total respect. In addition, when our salesman, a young man, (l'll be kind and only refer to him as R) took us for a test ride, he was clearly out of sorts and inept. He had told us it actually wasn't his workday and he had just come from the gym. He acted like he knew nothing about selling a car. We asked him questions as we were driving and all he did was grunt or mumble. There was one pivotal question re: a purge valve issue we asked him about that we had seen on Carfax and he said he had no clue what we were talking about. He didn't know what a purge valve was. We happen to ask that same question to the Used Car Manager and he said that he didn't know either, that he wasn't in the service dept. so we shouldn't expect an answer from him. He said we should ask the people at our Lexus dealership. Seriously??? Please note that as we later researched, the purge valve is a key component of the car's EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control) system. This is a really important fact and if it's on a Carfax review, the sales people should have known exactly what it means. And to add insult to injury, the General Manager was in his office listening to all of this going on and just sat quietly at his desk, did not intervene, did not walk out to address the problem... nothing, not a word. This is what this East Hills dealership calls management ? Not even close. Even if my husband had wanted that car more than anything in the world, he would never consider going back into that place. He wouldn't give them a penny after the way they treated me and reneged on their word. Awful awful awful dealership - stay away!
